Comment: here we go again! pastors saying the flock is too dumb to make a decision such as who to vote for without their interpretation (input). hammering home to the congregations the consequences the consequences of their votes. gmab!! thank you god/dess for the gift of thinking for myself so that i don't need dr./pastor/rev. chickenfoot to tell me anything.

Comment: this what the so-called pastor coleman said also. "people blindly go to the polls and blindly pull the lever for 'democrat'. we are not that divided as a congregation right now, but there are others in philadelphia that are split over this." so is this the same as blindly following a pastor who tells you that you are not intelligent enough to discern the passages in the bible for yourself and you need him/her to tell you what it means?

Comment: after finding and reading the article in its entirety, the pro-life pastors are wary of obama's stance on abortion. this provided more clarity then what eurweb headlines alludes to. although i still am not in agreement with the pastors and their statements but eurweb do us a favor and post an article in its entirety...

Comment: Black pastors whom are rallying against Obama. One thing needs to be done is think about how they made sure a mistake by letting George Bush and his friends persuade them for voting for him on 2 main issues are only issues.1. Abortion 2. Homosexuals I am not for any of those. But the bulk of females having abortions were and are white. His vice-president daughter is gay and married to another woman. I know the president does not have say so on his vice's family. But, that is what he sold the black pastors and church members and they bought. Now some wishing they never had. Pastor is head of the flock. Not necessarily to persuade the flock who to vote for. I wish they could show something good that Bush and friends have done for us. I believe I know why they are a rallying against Obama again they have been bought and Bush gave them some of faith-initiative money. Let the people make up their minds without you trying to dedicate who they (members) should vote here.

Comment: This is silly. Obama HAS good morals and a good political plan for our economy and country and blah blah blah. The only reason Christian people aren't behind Obama is because he is pro-abortion and pro-choice. Which is stupid. I'm Christian myself. But I believe everyone has their own choices to make. Don't make someone believe what you believe in. Like; does it say "And God said there shall be no gay people" in the bible? NO. It doesn't say anything specific in the bible about that. Yes, abortion is wrong. But women should have the choice. Whatever, Obama will make a great president. Not just cuz he's black. That doesn't even matter. People would still like him even if he wasn't black.

Comment: What is ANI? Who is their leadership? What is the source of their credibility?

Comment: welp, y'all pretty much summed that up! Emotional voting is EXACTLY when one votes for or against someone based on such personal choices/lifestyles/ (see can't even label it here) as pro-life/pro-choice and homosexuality. These two issues already f-ed up the presidency as it stands. Tell your congregation to choose wisely. To take care of their homes and help their brothers. We'd get much farther doing such. That message would be cutting edge in this day and age. Political parties as a whole tend to forget Black folks and we allow it to happen. Teach the congregation how to research the issues...from a non-partisan point of view. Next.

Comment: Local Road Sign Draws Comparison Between Obama, Monkey POSTED: 5:54 pm EDT July 7, 2008 UPDATED: 6:59 pm EDT July 7, 2008 [NEWSVINE: Local Road Sign Draws Comparison Between Obama, Monkey] [DELICIOUS: Local Road Sign Draws Comparison Between Obama, Monkey] [DIGG: Local Road Sign Draws Comparison Between Obama, Monkey] [FACEBOOK: Local Road Sign Draws Comparison Between Obama, Monkey] [REDDIT: Local Road Sign Draws Comparison Between Obama, Monkey] [RSS] [PRINT: Local Road Sign Draws Comparison Between Obama, Monkey] [EMAIL: Local Road Sign Draws Comparison Between Obama, Monkey] PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. -- A road sign that draws the comparison between presidential candidate Barack Obama and a monkey is drawing complaints in Paulding County. A family who saw the sign while heading to a bike ride on the Silver Comet Trail told Channel 2 the sign is offensive and should be removed. But the man who put it up said he has no intention of doing that. A woman going on a bike ride said she found a sign that says, “A monkey. A Obama. Is there a difference,” hateful and disturbing. “Just shocked. Just shocked basically, saddened by it,” said the woman who did not want to be identified. Patrick Lanzo, the owner of the Georgia Peach Oyster Bar, put up the message on his sign. He said he has no regrets or apologies. for more, check the link: http://www.wsbtv.com/news/16813732/detail.html
