Comment: TH rose up on Coz like that when he was only 19?! LOL! No wonder he wasn't able to get work for 4 years or so after that. LOL! Lawd. Cosby prob told his peeps: "See to it that that hot headed young man gets no more work for a while. Someone needs to teach his lil red head a lesson."

Name: Teigh Comment: "Interesting...same behavior that caused his father to be imprisioned when he was a child. Hopefully Terrance has conquered his demons." HUNH? His father having a 'behavior' that I'm a man just like you caused him to be imprisoned? *scratching head*

Comment: javone77, what do you want me to see?

Name: Muzak
Comment: 19 years old...Cosby was old enough to be his Grandfather. And he's talking to him that way. I wouldn't have hired him either. With an attitude like that. Terrence Howard needs to move on with his professional life. In other words "Get Over It". And count your blessings.

Name: DCGG
Comment: I can't stand this dumb azz bytch...does he have a movie coming out or something?? thanks Dr Cosby for trying to save us from his talentless azz...

Name: Teigh
Comment: mus...I didn't know I had such a fan in you....you're becoming borderline obsessive! Let it go and breathe, it's just opinions and comments. If you know the back story (what happened to his father and how it impacted his life) then you would know what I am talking about...and if you don't then oh well. Peace be unto you!

Name: Teigh
Comment: and since you obviously don't know mus I'll fill you in. Terrance and his brother were standing in line as kids to take a picture with Santa Claus. A white man jumped in front of his father and his father feeling disrespected grabbed the man and killed him in the store. The father went to jail, the Howard family (white mother and two mixed race kids) moved from a home in a decent neighborhood to the projects and their home life was never quite the same after that. Was the father treated as less than a man? Did it need to escalate to that level where the whole family and it's survival was put into peril? I'll be curious to see what you have to say.

Name: BigRuss
Comment: Terrence is a man just like Cosby. If he was willing to take that risk and stand up for himself, then so be it. Too many of us miss out on what we got coming because we bowing down to another man. respect is one thing, but a closed mouth don't get fed.

Name: sweetpea
Comment: Terrence is a good actor and so fine but I believe he can be difficult to work with. His Bill Cosby statement might be true but why is talking about this now? I remember the first time I saw Terrence in a movie and that was "Dead Presidents" one my favorite movies, with that small role he had presence and I never forgot him. To me his best movie roles to date was "The Best Man" and "Pride". I didn't care for the movie "Hustle and Flow" his peformance was good but not Oscar material and totally disagreed with the academy for nominating him for best actor.

Name: B00TANEB00TUS
Comment: ...This dude was 19...Cos didn't know him from a can of paint...How you gonna be blacklisted when yo young azz ain't even on the dayum list?...Teigh are you saying that was possibly Doc Cosby's brush with death...TH coulda killed him cause like father like son?...WOw...That woulda been some headline...Unknown actor from Cleveland strangles beloved Bill Cosby because The lovable Dr. William H. Cosby cut his scene from the popular Cosby show.....

Name: B00TANEB00TUS
Comment: ...Unknown actor from Cleveland issued the following statement as he was being led to prison..."Cosby disrepected me...He cut my dayum scene"...

Name: musbdherbs
Comment: Teigh...don't flatter yourself. No I never heard anything about his father nor the circumstances under which he went to jail. That's why I didn't see the relevance of your comparison. Either way, I don't believe a man saying "I'm a man just like you" constitutes something being wrong w/him especially considering that we don't know what the whole mess was about. For all we know, Cosby could have treated him in the same way he was "reported" to have treated the others on the show and he didn't like it. I'm nowhere close to a Fan of Howard. But based on this half-report..it doesn't make me feel any less about him.

Name: cdnyc
Comment: @BigRuss: "If he was willing to take that risk and stand up for himself, then so be it." ************************************* Standing up for yourself and acting in pure ignorance is two different things. Having scenes cut or edited is common tv/movie practice. Any actor will tell you that every scene they do, doesn't always make it to the screen. Terrence was obviously ignorant to this and if he had bothered to ask someone or do some research, he would have learned before he made a fool out of himself. I personally don't believe Mr. Cosby blacklisted him. If he acted like this with Bill Cosby, I can only imagine what he acted like with lesser names in the business and his reputation for being an azz probably got around and people didn't want to fool with him. @Teigh: Terrence's mother is not white. She's black. I've seen a couple of pics of her. @DCGG: He has a CD coming out so I'm guessing this is a cheap PR trick.

Name: oshun
Comment: huh? so was he supposed to play theo or somethin? i don't get it. did he appear on the show and get cut shortly after? this story is very confusing to be so short!

Name: vroger2
Comment: Every story has AT LEAST two sides; we've only heard Terrence's version. (Maybe the casting agent didn't take his calls any more because he simply BLEW the job. It may not have had anything to do with Bill Cosby!) All of us have been turned down for a job for which we thought we were perfect. Then we start wondering why... and sometimes justifying it with 'reasons' that are only in our heads:) And I agree that Terrence is talented, but his elevator doesn't quite reach the penthouse!

Name: Teigh
Comment: and who said I disliked Terrance Howard or think any less of him.

Name: musbdherbs
Comment: BTW, I know that Wikepedia is not the best source of factual information. But, based on quick research, wike has all three accounts of the same story. Terrance's, his dad's, and the victims family. In short, Terrance said that after he and his mom joined his dad in the line, the man behind them (the victim) protested cuz he thought they were breaking line not realizing that they were his family. An argument ensued, the victim (6'4) grabbed his dad (5'8) by the throat and pinned him to the wall. He ended up stabbing the man. His DAD's version is somewhat similar...didn't mention the height difference...did testify to being grabbed by the throat and pinned against the wall. But he goes on to say that after he stabbed him, he knelt down tried to put pressure on the victim to stop the bleeding...was advised to leave the scene and he did. The other account (the victims) is the version you posted here. What is fact is that he was charged w/2nd degree murder, sentenced to 1-25 years and was released 11 months later on good behavior and had no previous criminal record. They divorced after he got out. So apparently there are THREE versions to the story..well FOUR if we include yours.

Name: MelodyCool
Comment: I don't blame Cosby. I sure he recognized Terrence for the arrogant prick he is. I don't support any of his projects.

Name: musbdherbs
Comment: I don't think anybody said you didn't like Howard or think any less of him. I should've added that based on the report, his dad was grabbed by the throat, pinned against a wall...and need in the groin before stabbing the man.

Name: sultry
Comment: I do not see anything wrong with Terrence saying what he did becaause we do not know what Bill said to him to make him comment like that. But at the end of the day we are all entitled to our own opinions and we do have the freedom of speech. I do believe that Bill is hell on wheels and like some of you all are not fans of Howard , I am not a fan of Bill Cosby. For some reason I am just not and I never have been I just do not get up off of Bill Cosby.

Name: Mas90
Comment: EURWEB dug this up. They didn't want to lead with another Obama story.

Name: katgrrrl
Comment: I haven't read all the comments yet so I dunno if anyone's said this, but... Maybe the casting agent didn't take any more of his calls cos his behavior was UNPROFESSIONAL! Many actors either don't get the part or have their scenes cut or whatever happened... Hold up! The article says that he "got on 'The Cosby Show'" What exactly happened!? What provoked him to say to Cos "I'm a man just like you"? I'm lost. If he got on, what's the problem? Anywho, as I was saying, many actors DON'T get the part or there their scenes are cut or what have you. You keep it movin'; go on the next audition! You don't get slick with the mouth. It's business. Sounds like Howard took it personal.

Name: Southernbelle
Comment: Duhh, Who the f^&* are you to tell Cos what to do with his show. He should really thank his lucky stars he was able to bounce back. Had he done that shyt to Seinfield he'd be waiting tables today.

Name: pn2ppr
Comment: He strikes me as a very volatile personality but the brotha can play the guitar for me any time of the day or night...sexy a s s mutherfather...lol

Name: 6footah
Comment: Teigh and Mus...just so you know, Terrence got caught lying on Oprah about his account of the story. Mus, if you read the same wiki story and click on the link about the incident, you'll see that both the victim's daughter and Terrence's own father say that he twisted the truth on the show. Personally, I could tell T.H. was lying when he told the story...he is a quack, best believe.

Name: musbdherbs
Comment: 6footah...yep i read it. that's why i referenced wiki as the source of three accounts of the same story...providing something other than the facts TEIGH posted here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santa_Line_Slaying

Name: Mas90
Comment: Terrence lies cause he knows he can get away with it. Hollywood likes him and keeps giving him roles to fill. Hollywood is a very forgiving city... look at Robert Downey Jr.

Name: queeniebunz
Comment: Interesting. Not headline news, but interesting. Harrison Ford did the same thing to Samuel L. Jackson, according to Jackson. I read an interview where Jackson said that he complained about his scene being cut or not having enough scenes in 'Patriot Games' and presto chango! - he had no jobs for awhile. Jackson didn't name names when he said it but it had to be Ford. And it's interesting because Jackson said he was Cosby's double on the show and made his money that way for awhile. I wonder if he was there when that happened. As for Cosby, well people see him as this father figure or whatever but they forget that he was the bad boy in "Uptown Saturday Night" and the other films he did with Poitier. I think that's more in line w/who Cosby is. He's a straight player, always has been and always will be. And he's arrogant and probably not a very nice man. As for Howard, I think he's a brilliant actor - brilliant. The way he immerses himself in a character, you forget he's acting. He becomes the character. And I'm hard on acting/writing so that's saying something for me to say that. BUT, I hate to see him interviewed. As others have said, something is screwy about this dude. He comes across as phony and too proper. And I don't mean "acting white". I mean he comes across like he's trying to be this high falutin' person who only does Shakespeare or whatever on Leno/etc. and Leno's so chill that it just looks weird. I think he falls into his characters the way he does because he doesn't really like being himself. That's just my take on it. He never really looks comfortable in his own skin. Yeah, I'm "diagnosing" him w/o having even met him but I have a psych degree so I do that. I don't think I'm wrong though. I tend to be able to sense things about people and I'm usually right...

Name: queeniebunz
Comment: > pn2ppr/sweetpea - sexy and fine? Nah. Not my type. I have never liked the "light skinned-ed/"good hair"/European feature" pretty muthaf*cka guys. Nah. Give me someone like Djimon Hounsou. A big black African warrior, just ran out the jungle with a spear in his hand, a bone in his nose, a bald head, wearing a loin cloth. Or a big black buck looks like he just crawled off the plantation, still barefoot wearing a torn shirt and raggedy pants, all black and gleaming and sweaty from workin in the fields and running away from massa. Yeah, that's what I want. Those pretty ones - nah. I need a negro who'll throw me down and show me who's the boss! Growl at me - "Come here, gurl!" And I'll come running. That's what I want. You can keep this pretty mutha with his permed hair. He probably folds his clothes, pats his hair down, looks at himself, nods and smiles and then wants to smash...keep him

Comment: yunvme - get over yourself. Jeez. But if you want to get all psychological, here goes. My dad and his whole family are beautiful dark skinned people - beautiful, all of them. My cousin's so dark if he closes his eyes in the dark, he disappears but he's a handsome dude. He's the most physically fit person I know. He's not ripped, he's shredded but being in prison for 12 yrs allows for a good work out regimen. But I digress...I tend to think that girls are attracted to men who resemble their fathers. If your daddy is a light-skinned pretty mofo, you'll tend to prefer that. If he's dark and clean like my dad, you'll prefer that. Not in a sick way, nothing Oedipal. It's just that the first man in your life kind of becomes the model for what you prefer. Stop trying to read something into a joke, 'kay? It's a joke based on long-held stereotypes. Jeez...Rolling eyes...

The men who get their eyebrows done, get a facial twice a month, get their nails done weekly, go to the barber shop once a week, get all of their clothes dry-cleaned, even jeans...they ain't neva left. I'm dating one, I know. He doesn't get his nails/facials done but he totally fits the description of a metro. He spends more time getting ready than I do.

Comment: true, a big digression from the topic at hand, but i say there is a BIG difference to the old-school 'clean brotha' and the 21st century metrosexual, queeniebunz. i admit i'm not secure enough to date a metrosexual who spends more time in the mirror than i do - some dude might snatch him up! LOL but the clean brotha i'm talking about doesn't take the concept THAT far as to 'manscape' his brows, get regular facials and whatnot! LOL

Comment: Queeniebunz, don't get it twisted I love my fine brown and dark skinned brothers as well. In fact, I'm partial to the darker ones. I'm open to all ethnic groups as long as there is something I find attractive about them.

Name: yunvme
Comment: Queenie if you say its a joke, then I'll take your word. But here is the kicker. If I got on here and said, there is no way in the world that I would touch a dark skinned sister/ or even look her way cause I dont want no nappy headed dark skinned kids and that brown skin is a turnoff. Who in here would get "MY" joke?

Name: jess
Comment: I agree with all who stated that there is something that is just not right about this guy. I've liked some of his performances, but there was something creepy about his personality that turned me off. It's clear to me that he is horribly arrogant, making ridiculous comments like this one about Cosby. If his azz had been blacklisted by Cosby at that time when Cosby was the King of TV, we wouldn't be discussing him right now because no one would even know who he was.

Name: queeniebunz
Comment: >oshun - when thinking about it, my guy isn't a true metro. He's just a clothes horse. I think I'd define him as one of the clean ones you talk about from the 80s. No man-scaping, just likes to be clean. My dad's the same way. As for being secure enough to deal w/him, well all the people around us have told us plenty that he needs me because I'm grounded and down to earth and he's whatever he is - we complement each other. I'm a free-spirit/flower child type and kinda into that whole image thing. We're an odd couple to me but it works.

Comment: >yunvme - There's a difference in what I said and what you said. I was actually celebrating the dark-skinned negro. You were using negatives about dark-skinned women. Now if you said you loved the features you described, it would be a different thing but you were being very negative. And remember - I was JOKING. The only truth to my joke was that I prefer dark-skinned men. I just do. I think they're beautiful. I just do. I can appreciate the beauty of someone like Boris Kodjoe or Christopher Williams back in the day but I prefer someone more like Djimon - his smile is like WOW!. And I love me some Dwayne Wade - that smooth dark skin - whoa! Idris Elba - (swooning)...Don Cheadle - I could just sit and listen to him. He's not classically handsome, but he oozes intelligence and that's sexy as hell. And though he's a bit older, I like Delroy Lindo, too. I used to like Morris Chestnut and Blair Underwood but they're kinda played now for me. I just prefer the handsome, strong features to the pretty ones. And back to Howard - I can't take a guy who perms his hair. We're getting our relaxers together at the salon. Couldn't do it. Just can't see it.

Comment: From what I know about the business...if any 19-year old newbie actor went to the hottest star in television and talke sh!t because his 1st and only scene was cut out... Cosby didn't blacklist him. That information spreads like wildfire. A casting agent will NOT let an actor embarrass him or her like that. Because I assure you the FIRST question Cosby asked was "who the hell is this person and who hired him?" Howard became persona non grata after that. It's not Cosby (who CAN be an a$$, no doubt) "blacklisting" him...it's more of a youngin' destroying key relationships. He had a tremendous opportunity (and got paid regardless)...and instead went left. I seriously doubt the biggest star in TV cared to "make sure" someone didn't work. I think Howard is overestimating his importance at 19 years old, and underestimating what being an ignorant fool can do to hurt ANY career in ANY line of work.

Name: duckapoo
Comment: I think all of our brothers are beautiful, from the lightest light to the darkest dark. Black people should be the last people judging someone by their skin tone or color. As for Terence and Cos, I think Terrence was right to voice his opinion. I say, you got to stand for something or fall for anything. Terrence did what he had to do and so did Cos. They both ended up alright.

Comment: MorrisOKelly --dayum!!! why dont u tell what's really real lol

Name: MorrisOKelly
Comment: To get blacklisted you usually have to cause someone/ a company great embarrassment...Howard was a non-entity. File a lawsuit, drop some scurrilous allegations...something like that. Talking sh!t to the star isn't enough...as stars really never take enough time to get to know "the little people" around them. I doubt Howard's interpretation of these events.

Name: Mas90
Comment: Mo, why did eurweb lead with this story?

Name: MorrisOKelly
Comment: Duckapoo - "As for Terence and Cos, I think Terrence was right to voice his opinion." ______________ Absolutely not...actors NEVER, (especially non-recurring roles) have an "opinion" in the editing booth. They are not "producers" and surely aren't executive producers. That's just silly. You can't justify that remark on any level. And you can't justify "street behavior" in the corporate world. That's where so many of us get it twisted. You just don't "roll up" on folks because you feel like "you've been disrespected." That mentality kept him out of work...not Cosby. I'm sure if he was bold enough to do THIS, there are 10 other incidents we just don't know about. You don't feel brazen enough to check Cos on his OWN show and not have other similarly defective behavior.

Name: MorrisOKelly
Comment: Mas90...this story is being reported in a number of places...it's a wire story, meaning it was written up by AP and various news sources take it to post as they see fit. As to why EUR "led" with it...that's an editorial decision I'm not privy to. But it's newsworthy and timely as the "story" is just now breaking.

Name: cdnyc
Comment: @MoKelly: I agree with you completely. I read this same "story" on another site and my comment was that it is hard for me to believe that Cosby would waste his energy to 'blacklist' a "nobody"(at that time Howard was a nobody in the business). And where are these stories coming from? It seems like every week, it's one crazy Terrence Howard quote after another. Does he have a publicist? If not, he needs one. Comment: >Mo - What you say is true on any job/in any career. In this situation, Howard was the not the low man on the totem pole. He wasn't even on the totem pole. You don't go up to the CEO/CFO/etc. (big dog) and start complaining when you're just the mail clerk cuz 1) you'll be relieved of your duties as mail clerk, or 2) you'll only every be the mail clerk and when you go to apply to be somebody else's mail clerk your behavior will follow you in references or lack thereof. What he did was silly but youth is a silly place. If a grown-azzed man did that - well, he deserves to be hurled off the set like Jazzy Jeff got thrown out by Uncle Phil. But a youngster like he was, just silly. Cosby probably recognized it for what it was - youth. I tend to agree that he probably didn't blacklist him. And in reference to his statement, any time you have to tell somebody you're a man, you probably ain't one.

Comment: they all still working just you're not hearing it. I don't know how you could put Shemar Moore in there when his tv show is a top 10. You must not watch it.

Comment: lol huey. whitaker will be okay, he's a good character actor. Denzel will eventually morth into Morgan Freeman who seems to have the "needed-- blk male, over 60, co-star" on lockdown. Will, just like his white counterpart, Tom Cruise, will morth into Harrison Ford, Stylone, Bruce Willis, Sean Connery, and a host of other aged action stars who are still trying to run in films long after their 2nd hip placement.

Comment: Mas90 --point is, moore wanted to be an a-list big screen actor..never happened, same with the others, so ultimately the go back to the small screen to keep eating, but u eat better off of the big screen. the others may be still working, on a small level. but if u aint working on big level aint nobody checking for you if they dont know what u working on. unless u are a pacino, cheadle, deniro etc and u decide to do some indi films thats cool, but the big screen green lighters gonna be checking for them. not tate, not diggs, not payne, not chestnut, etc

Comment: Blacks are limited in Hollywood. You get in where you can STAY fit in. None of the studios are black owned. There is only one black executive, Tracey Edmonds and she gave us a pitiful "Who's Your Caddy". Morris admitted that people are kncking on his door and he has to search for work. All actors want to be A-listers but there is only so much room at the top otherwise who is going to hold the bottom up??? Blacks are not still high money bringers unless you get in good with yt like Will Smith. Will is non-threatening. I feel Shemar doesn't want to be "open" as Will is. If you really want to be on top as a black man/woman you better ask yo fellow brothers and sisters to join ur funds together and start your own studio. Why hasn't it been done? I don't know. We still working for the man.

Comment: MORRIS OKELLY>I truly agree with you. the beginners are just peons and they have to crawl before they walk but they should know how the buisness is handled, especially if you are trying to get your foot in the door. in the showbizness, a lot of doors will be slammed in your face, you just got to keep knocking. but don't be arrogant while doing it. tell me, i'm curious. do they still do the "casting couch" approach with beginning actresses?

Comment: Mas90 --i agree, there are just but a few black green lighters in the industry, winfrey, cube, brother from boyz in the hood director/producer, and a few others who's names escape me. but u can subract one of those names from my list if he tries one more gin to flip antoher of those "friday" shuckin and jivin bafoonery films and pass it off as something else under a different name.....

Name: Mas90
Comment: Those aren't greenlighters. Greenlighters are executives at a studio. THose you mentioned are producers who fund the film or find investors. Not the same thing.

Name: Mas90
Comment: A film can still be made but not released. Some films sit on the shelf before being released.

Name: huey
Comment: Mas90 --actually, they are, they did an article on them all in black enterprise magazine, i like u was surprised to find out that they all green light movies now. lol

Comment: Mo - You read my mind. I was sitting here thinking that Howard sounds like an idiot. If I stepped to the CEO of my company talking nonsense, it would be my direct boss running with the quickness to get rid of my azz and then go apologize profusely to the CEO for my behavior. Stuff gets around, so my azz would be grazz in my industry until the smoke cleared. It's just typical of some actors to be so self-absorbed and arrogant. Cosby probably didn't even remember his name the next day, let alone waste one ounce of energy ruining him. He acts like he slept with his wife or something...

Name: Mas90
Comment: John Singleton is not a greenlighter. He's a director/producer. OPrah/Denzel did an independent film "Debators" but only masked about 25K in sales. People did not come out to see the majority black cast. Major studio still release the Debators. White man's hand was still in the pot.

Name: Mas90
Comment: We still have to go through the white man to get a major release done. We need marketing funds, many soundstages, licensing, etc. We aren't there yet. Tyler Perry... the exception? I'm still not sure.

Name: huey
Comment: Mas90 --i will dig up the article and send it when i have a chance..and yes, they are all green lighters. i think your difinition may be off but i will send u the article. the black enterprise article spoke to but the few black who could green light a movie of which cube was one of them. i think another is a huband and wife team, strane last name, something like "rockbytheaway" i think. but im not sure..

Comment: IMO, we're all responding to half of a story and that's silly. We've decided the scenario under which this "comment" occured equipped w/no other info than what we "think" happened. IMO, that's just dumb. Maybe Cosby is an azzhole. Who knows. Maybe they had a rough encounter who knows. But to as.sume that cosby must be right because it's Terrance is just dumb. We don't even know what the story was neway. "I'm a man just like you" has morphed into the surreal. BTW, Obama just said that black people need to. I knew something was not sitting right w/me about how this was playing out.

Comment: Greenlight definition: To greenlight a project, in the context of the movie and TV businesses, is to formally approve production finance, thereby allowing the project to move forward from the development phase to pre-production and, barring disasters, principal photography. A project which is financed is said to be greenlit or greenlighted and a studio executive who has authority to grant greenlight status to a project is said to have greenlight power. I beleive you're right but we are still limited.

Comment: I've gone to Vegas in July but it wasn't HOT that particular weekend but I know what ur saying Gurlfrand. I went to Palm Springs in July and it was 115 degrees. HHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTT! You couldn't come out in the day. But with Vegas you're indoors more than out anyway.

Comment: @musbdherbs, I don't think everyone here thinks that just because it's terrence that makes cosby right. I've heard Terrence tell this story before in an interview. He admits that he went to Mr. Cosby's dressing room, "banging on the door" demanding to speak to him. Bottom line...Terrence's behavior was unprofessional and inappropriate. "maybe they had a rough encounter"...How can you have a rough encounter with the star when all you have a small part on a show? Terrence's job was to learn his lines(if he had any), show up on time, do what he was told, and collect his paycheck. That's how it works. He was a 19 year old "nobody" trying to get where Mr. Cosby already was. I can understand Terrence's disappointment after telling all his family and friends that he was going to be on the Cosby Show and then being embarrased when they all watched and he was cut from the show. But there is a way to handle things. Who knows, had he taken a more sensible approach, he probably could have been given another chance on the show. He could have ended up being one of the regulars(i.e. Theo's friends).

Comment: here is one sister who green lights, i will have to get the others later, this is an old article: Jennifer Warren 20th Television The next time you're watching the Rocky Horror Picture Show on television, you may have Jennifer Warren to thank for it. As counsel, business and legal affairs for 20th Television, Warren is one of five lawyers who negotiate and draft licensing agreements for the basic cable library of movies controlled by this unit of Fox Television. "Through negotiation, we determine who gets to see what on which channel for how much," says Warren. She recently negotiated a $1.3 million, 12-movie licensing agreement with USA Network that will allow the network to show 12 movies from Fox's library, twice a day during specific months over the next five and a half years. For example, because of Halloween, Rocky Horror is a hot licensing product for the month of October. Related Results Risin' to the top: these professionals are among the cream of the crop of new... Great lesson - Letters The University of Michigan Law School graduate also negotiates development deals, distribution agreements and financing for new fox television shows. "I just closed a deal for a new teen situation comedy to compete with California Dreams and Saved by the Bell," says Warren. The sitcom, which will shoot 26 episodes at $350,00 each, is anticipated to debut in 1997. Warren says she honed her negotiating skills as a securities lawyer at two New York law firms from 1990-095. Then as senior associate attorney for Tenzer Greenblatt, L.L.P., she began doing TV network and affiliate deals. She aggressively learned about the media business, with her ultimate sights set on the broadcast entertainment business. She moved to Fox last May.

Comment: Terrence did have lines. I've seen the episode. This is not a big deal cause negro suffocation (if any really) did not stop him from showing up in the The jacksons American dream film in 1992.

Comment: mas90: Great question... why haven't wealthy Black entertainers pooled their resources and formed their own studio instead of waiting for call-backs from the man?!?! I mean, Oprah has Harpo Studios and Tyler Perry has his own. But if they joined Will Smith and Denzel... maybe even toss in some cash from Michael Jordan and other wealthy athletes... who knows what they could do? What's the hold-up? Dare I say that they're just too comfortable with the status quo?

Comment: Huey... I read the article but I still feel overall I'm right. I know say u were but I take it back. Those mentioned were people who have the ability to favor a greenlight compared to Chestnut, Tate, Woodbine, Payne who don't have the power like Winfrey, Washington, Smith, etc. Still when it comes down to it. There is only one black film studio compared to several big white owned major studios. And the one black studio is not big at all. It might as well be a office in a restroom with one stall and the receptionist sits by the sink.

Comment: Actually, I went to Vegas for the first time ever in April. It was great - in the high 70s. Perfect. I don't see how people can stay in the casinos all day. I couldn't take the smoke. Every time I came out I had to wash my hair and put my clothes in a separate bag. We didn't hardly gamble at all. I lost $3 playing blackjack for an hour. Sat down w/$21 and got up w/$18. Cool. And the dealer CARDED ME! Me - 35 and I got carded! And he was really serious. I floated on air after that! Sure, I couldn't buy that happy meal cuz I lost the $3, but I did without it. ;)

Comment: CDNYC...uhm..how can you have a rough encounter? Ever heard of two people just NOT feeling each other?..lol Maybe I'm a lil biased cuz I've been told that I'm a tad bit too much at times because i don't buy the notion that people should be able to say whatever they want, how they want, when they want..simply because you are under them. I am never disrespectful or no silly shyt like that but I will set the standard on how you should treat me. Not saying that was the case w/Terrance cuz I do believe he's a special case...a special case in that his role in crash seemed almost surreal.

I said he was right but it's not a complete 100% Oprah has her own network but the shows aren't in Chicago. There in Hollywood. Just about everything starts here and moves elsewhere in the country/world for shooting, etc. They don't call Hollywood entertainment capitol of the world for nothing.

Name: Mas90
Comment: Queenie... I don't think I'm right about everything. You just can't stand when I voice my opinion period. Cause not everything on here do I condem as me being right. I state my opinion strongly without backing down and that's what you hate.

Comment: Scenes are cut from a movie, even of the stars, don't take it personal. The age may have some bearing, 19 and what happened to his father. Terrance is older now. Men that are truly fathers take exception to disrespect on any level. You will understand, when you son jumps in the face of his father (Terrance). I think every young man goes through challenging another man. Look back on this as a lesson well learned. Keep living you will learn more. It has made you a somewhat better man. Don't hold a grudge, it is not manly.

Name: JerseyBred
Comment: According to Terrence Howard when he was with the cast of Crash on Oprah- It was the same event as Teigh told EXCEPT that the White man that was killed by Terrance's father was harrassing Terrance's family. Terrance's dad (who looks White) was on line and then Terrance, his mother, and his siblings (who all look Black) got in front of Terrance's dad. The White man said "Why did you let those n#ggers cut you in line?" Terrance dad ignores him but the White dude kept harrassing him. Terrance's father finally said "This is my family" and then the White dude yokes him up and pins him against the wall grabbing him by his nuts. The only way that Terrance could break free was by killing that man in self-defense. Considering the racial climate of that time, Terrance's father went to jail for killing a White man who was trying to kill him. That's how it went down. As Terrance was telling that story, tears were welling up in his eyes. It was a catch 22 for the Howard family. If Terrance's dad had allowed that White man to kill him, their lives would've been altered. He defended himself and their lives were still altered.
