Comment: I still find it interesting that Justin Timberlake (a White male) pulls at the bra of Janet Jackson (a Black female) and the Black female gets the blame and the fines while the White male went on to win a Grammy. Quite frankly, I haven't taken the Grammys or Mr. Timberlake seriously since then. Make me believe if Sean Combs had pulled off Brittany Spears' bra in the same fashion, they wouldn't have lynched him as part of the halftime show.

Comment: Counselor, you missed the most important part. After it happened, Justin went up to Pat O'Brien and said, "Ha ha, we gave y'all a lil something to talk about!" Weeks later, when he realized how serious it was, he got in a magazine and said, "I couldn't believe that Janet would do this to me. I had no idea that she would do something like that." Basically throwing her under the proverbial bus. And of course, the children of Uncle Ruckus gave him a pass, as they ALWAYS do.

Comment: Good for CBS. The network shouldn't have to pay a fine for this stupid stunt. I don't give a rat's azz about Janet in this story. I do NOT believe it was an accident or "wardrobe malfunction." She got exactly what her hand called for. SHE is a CONSUMMATE VETERAN PROFESSIONAL. She had this all planned out to boost sales of her forgettable, silly new CD, and it didn't work ... LOL! Everyone KNOWS she stands for sex (as opposed to being a sex symbol, which she is NOT). As far as her being thrown "under the proverbial bus" and "blacklisted" is concerned, maybe if she was a tad less NASTY and had worn an outfit similar to what she wears on the "Feedback" video, this would never have happened!

She wanted to be known as nasty and since I was sitting there when her tear away revealed what she's been tryna show errybody since she first bought them, she should have thought about potential consequences. It was the superbowl - a show the whole family watches. Did she think cause she thought she was amerikkka's darling she would get a pass?

Comment: The was not a wardrobe malfunction. That was a carfully planned stunt that went awry. This has nothing to do with the white man getting off easy and the poor, innocent black woman taking all the blame. That black woman shouldn't have allowed herself to be disgraced (for the sake of publicity) by letting that white man pull her bra off! If some one asked my to exposed my pierced nipple to the world the answer would be a resounding HELL NO!!! If Janet didn't agree to LET him pull her bra off then it wouldn't have happened. People need to stop playing the blame game and stand up and be held accountable for their dumb actions.

Comment: First this fine was over zealously imposed by Michael Powell who was FCC chairman who wouldn't have had the job if his dad hadn't been Colin,I hated it for Janet who said that she and JT had planned a secretly planned a little something extra for their performance it's just that she didn't expect that,as for the grammys they wanted this apology which she had already done before and that was enough!some may disagree but part of what I feel now is the problem is Janet just hasn't made a good album in awhile,Damita Joe,20YO,and Discipline just weren't good,Jermaine seems to do good work for Ursh and Mariah it just doesn't transfer to his lady

That little girl had his PR folks on top of it right after the incident and he followed along like a good lil sheep. that's what I - and others- don't like. they both grown, let them BOTH take the heat. I still love Janet and her nip nips. keep it moving people. more to worry about than some nipples. we're some powerful people, sexuality - black sexuality - interracial sexuality just playing right beneath the surface...like a...nipple...and then when it's ripped out for the world to see...thinking people are "ready" for this type of display of sexuality....then...well....we're not. it'd be interesting to see how a stunt like this would play in today's political climate.

Comment: Finally, someone shows a little common sense. There's no way CBS needs to be held responsible for that. But, I'm wondering if they spent $500,000 in lawyer's fees and court cost just to get the case thrown out? Anyway, I think that both Janet and Justin are equally responsible for the wardrobe malfunction. I also beleive that it was indeed a malfunction. The nipple was not supposed to be exposed. I saw some backstage footage from immediately after the incident, and Janet was crying and embarrassed. She was being consoled by a stage hand (or someone). I don't think that's how someone would react if they revealed their breast on purpose.

Comment: I believe it was a stunt that went wrong, for which Janet has not and maybe never professionally recover......the media has always been waiting for opportunities like this one to hammer in the "final" nails to a member of the Jackson family, and, they got Janet on this one - they already got Mike, 'cause his career took a severe nose dive after BOTH of his child molestation investigations - he's now riding around in wheelchairs.........
