Comment: Why is it still called "Negro Ensemble Company"? I don't understand these organizations that have these archaic, racist terms in their name. The NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) and the United Negro College Fund are perfect examples. They should get rid of these terms. The NAACP would be the NAAP (National Association for the Advancement of People) and the United Negro College Fund would be the United College Fund. That is a lot better.

Comment: God knows I pray for there success. God knows we can use something far more better than what we have now. The "NEC" was one of the premiere African-American playhouses. They use to produce serious black drama. I am so sick and tired of the laugh track black sitcom. I thought for sure with the success of "SoulFood". We would see more black dramas. It seems Hollywood thinks all black folks love to do is laugh all of the time.
