Oh God, I'm just floored ova this one. To know your mom is in the freezer. Poor thing probably was too afraid to say anything. Women we have got to watch the men we bring around our children. Comment: This is absolutely horrific....almost unbelievable. I'm truly stunned that he was able to get away with this madness i.e. the disappearance of his wife for 4 years.
He lied to the locals and said she died during childbirth. Then, told her family FOR 4 Years that she was "busy" and "couldn't come to the phone" or she "didn't want to talk to them" whenever they called the house? And, they all accepted this from him --- just like that?
The so-called church folks never found it strange that the woman just ---POOF---- disappeared....died....but there was no funeral or memorial service....no body...no ashes...no nothing? No one was leary or found any of this strange??
Perhaps the wife was a "loner" and she really wasn't close to her family or anyone else? Perhaps she was being abused in some way also? Maybe that's the case. I don't know, don't think I really want to know at this point...it won't bring back Arletha or help her children now.

Comment: MelodyCool~ I agree, he does look like a damn devil and the kids were (no doubt) afraid of his evil @ss. Even if he said she ran away, her folks should've looked for her or questioned why she'd do that and leave ALL 7 of her kids behind...newborn inclueded.
Seems like someone outside of that sinister household should've cared enough about that lady to be more concerned about her whereabouts. Even if the female family members were afraid of Dude, what about the men?
In my family, when something isn't right or someone just thinks something could possibly be out of order...the men take action. Dude would've gotten his @ss stomped until he gave up some answers.

Comment: This is just sick and appalling. I feel for the children (I think he has 8) who had to live with this monster and undoubtedly were also abused by him. Thankfully, evil eventually comes to light and this so calle preacher's wanton, repulsive behaviour has been discovered. The mental state of these children and the 19 year old daughter have been irreparably damaged. Please ladies be very careful who you allow to be around your children, and if you suspect any type of abuse leave or report it immediately.

Comment: You have to watch children period, not just around men. There are some women who are crazy too, as well as some messed up older boys and girls. And most children suffer in silence for years. I just read an article on Gospel singer Darwin Hobbs who is finally talking about overcoming sexual abuse by his then step-father whois now deceased. I have known Darwin since childhood and when he used to live around the corner from me. After all these years I had no idea he went through that.

Comment: I don't know what kind of family she had, but if my momma, sisters, brothers, cousins don't hear from me for A DAY they track me down like a runaway slave! He must have had some serious control over that household for the older children not to say something about their momma being missing for FOUR YEARS! And, people need to be careful about who they give access to their children. As kids, we weren't allow to "stay the night" NO WHERE, including family members' houses. My granny and daddy were not having it. My dad wouldn't even let me play with certain male cousins when I was little. I can't believe this.

Comment: I remember this story from when the mother turned up missing. He lied and said that she was "out of town" at first and then said that she was "at home" when members of the church asked why she wasn't at church that first Sunday that she was missing. Those were the police persons only clues.
To my knowledge, the husband was always the only suspect in her case. But without a body and nothing else to go on, I guess they waited for him to trip himself up.
As the story says, the girl was *their* daughter that is why he is charged with incest and not simply sex with a minor. He is one sick dog.
But the trauma that he has caused his daughter and no doubt his other children may be irreparable. smh @ the things people *do*...

Comment: Well...it gets worst...it's being reported now that the girl is pregnant by her "Daddy" or should I type StepDaddy because he's not her biological Father. He's the Father of the last 6 of the 8 kids. The 19 yr old and the 17 yr old were from a previous relationship. Either way, he has ruined ALL of those children's lives.

Comment: This story hit our local news stations last week. My hometown is 30 mins away from Jackson, AL. It's hard to believe that something like that has happened in such a small town. Thank goodness I don't know the man at all. Keep the family in your prayers because they definitely will need it.
