Comment: I think their marriage is an "arrangement" anyway, but I think he is supposed to be waayyy more discreet with it to keep up outward appearances. I read an interview about them when they were first married and Lisa Raye did most of the talking and some of her answers lead me to believe that this wasn't a marriage for love, but perhaps 2 people who are looking for something (he to shed his playboy image and she to play up a new sophisticated image) and they were able to assist one another.

Comment: The bottom line: this is a convenient arrangement for both of them. She left because she was temporarily embarrassed. She weighed the pros and cons and decided that there were more benefits. I just hope that she isn't risking her life in the process. What an empty, shallow life when things are more important than peace of mind.

Comment: Makes no sense for old girl to instruct her publicist to make statements alluding to a divorce and accuse the man of infidelity and then go back to him. The next statement we'll see from her publicist is the request for privacy while she and her husband work on their marriage. Comment: Quanli, gingerg, and lilmocc: Totally on the same page with you. Bottomline. I believe that there was a mutual Russell/Kimora arrangement going on with both of them. Cheaper to keep her. Simple as that. Gingerg - you were dead on when she said she was temporarily embarassed. She waited until things quieted down and moved her behind back on end. Neither one of them really care enough to make a move, so that's on them. It's one thing to forgive someone for their actions, okay, I get that, but what he does looks like a blantant disregard for what's right. And who knows what kind of backend arrangement they have regarding this. Hell, if they like it, I love it.
It's very easy to get caught up in what you have, versus what you don't have (which is peace of mind). I guess that's why my black a$$ continues to balance my checkbook, because I just can't do it!

Her voice doesn't bother me, never did, not that superficial, plus she sounds like a lot of girls in Chicago especially the ones who had to act hard because they were pretty and other people wouldn't leave them alone unless they sounded like that, there's a girl in the office who sounds a lot like LisaRaye, you know what---as long as she does her job well and she fine with me. I'm from Chicago too & know exactly what you're talking about personally & otherwise. If someone comes at me wrong, I may have to dig deep & pull up a "hard ghetto tone" to make them back up. It's all about survival. Am I ghetto by nature? Nope, I'm far from it but you do what you have to do. I also have to deal with that "you sound white crap" too especially when dealing with folks over the phone. Then, when they see me -- surprise, surprise, I'm not a Becky. The reactions are always priceless.

Comment: Well, a few months ago Robin Robinson, a news reporter with FoxNews Chicago, did a one on one interview with LisaRaye. She wasn't the least bit ghetto in anyway. Most people don't know her Dad, who's deceased, was a millionaire. She didn't grow up ghetto or poor. Really don't think her Mother would've brought her up "ghetto" regardless of the folks her millionaire Daddy may have associated with. Some folks can know the streets and not be street. Regardless, you can bet LisaRaye had her "reasons" for going back to the mansion, but I bet "reconciliation" wasn't on the list.

Comment: JustTellingTheTruth> Yeah a lot of people didn't know her father Ray, we used to see him on the scene when I was in my early 20s, he owned a bunch of motels up and down Stony Island, Sweet Georgia Brown and many others place---LisaRaye said he owned banks as well but I didn't know about that. She lived in South Shore growing up and since she's a few years younger I didn't know her but grew up in the same neighborhood and knew some of the same people through my friends younger siblings, she most definately did not grow up ghetto. By all accounts from the people who know/knew her she's pretty cool and down to earth. Reconciliation naw-but she ain't gonna let another chick take her place and get everything she got without a fight---typical Chicago girl LOL!
