I think he liked the image it would give him - something other than the notorious playboy he was known to be before he married her and she liked the prestige and status upgrade. I read an interview with them in a publication shortly after they were married and it sounded as if they had an arrangement. She had her publicist talking shat about him last week when she was in the U.S., so he beat her to the punch by announcing the divorce and ended up getting the last laugh for now. She was a bust it baby to a couple of NBA players and other celebrities. Gary Payton and Michael Jordan come to mind immediately. She even said in an interview that had MJ met her first, Juanita Jordan would not be his wife. It was no secret that she and Gary Payton carried on for YEARS while he was married.

We weren't in their relationship, although we may have strong opinions about what happened or didn't happen. He made a brief statement that was professional and to the point. ....and made HIM like the classy one. Meanwhile the statement Lisaraye's PR people released made her seem bitter and spiteful, like she's coming ungled a little bit.
