Comment: Personally, I don't blame her. She's been grindin' for a long time and doesn't really need the aggravation.
It probably sounded like a good idea at the time, but month in, month out to have go through all that's involved (including, uh oh, keeping slim for the camera), must be a real drag.
Hey O, give it up. Let your creative tem come up with something else.

Comment: Whether she's tired of being on the cover or not,who cares? it's her mag.as far as having to stay slim for the cover that's really not a problem either since she has admitted to airbrushing photos,I think the drop in circulation is more of a concern since it affects (probably very little)her bottom line.

Comment: Shoot, I was tired of looking at her on the cover after the first 6 months. I thought it was a huge ego trip to be featured on the cover of EVERY magazine. I mean we know O looks good all the time. But it was her preorogative and as always ALL GOOD THINGS MUST COME TO AN END.

Comment: The other day I was in CVS and I saw her magazine and thought "isn't she tired of being on the cover? She's had to come up with a lot of new looks." Then I thought of Queen Latifah's line in Last Holiday when she told the character Kragen "and get your pasty face off the cover of your magazines" and I started laughing at the thought. Hey its her magazine she can be on it if she wants to.

Comment: As long as I don't ever have to see that photo of her giant BUNION again, I don't care who (or what) is on the cover of 'O' magazine! That was just nasty!

Comment: @ night HA!!!! There was so much information in 6 months, I cancelled my subscription after a year and haven't caught up on them yet and it's been 3 years!!! I put O down because my personal favorite is MORE magazine for women over 40 anyway. The articles are just long enough to give you the pertinent information then it's on to the next topic and more suited to my lifestyle than O. O [articles] go deep cuz she don't get no sleep . . . they goon and on till the early morn!! <<loll>

Comment: Maybe O get Gayle to start gracing the covers as a sub for her. The next issue can be Gayle doing her XM Radio show sittin at the control board eatin the best Hammburgah Sammiches from their On The Road Tour in one hand and holding the mic in the other singing over songs very badly like she likes to do on her radio show. HeeHee! Gayle: "Oh, this is my sooooooooooooooooooong!" (starts snappin her fingers and destroyinh dong with her bad singing) "Producer? Pass me that hamgurgah, please!" LOL!

Comment: The decision to put herself on the cover wasn't as much ego as it was good sense. The marketing pundits had proven that anything with Oprah on the cover was sold out in a short length of time. It was a no-brainer.
I think that what we see now is the backlash from her foray into what she was trying to pass off as deep spirituality. When in fact, they were only the ramblings of a former mental patient. There were a lot of people who took issue with her "A New Earth" mess.
I was done when she announced that she left the traditional Church when she heard the Preacher say "God is a jealous God". She said, "You mean God is jealous of ME?"... Anybody *that* spiritually stupid can't lead me to the ladies room. smh

Comment: She should have interchanged between classic photography, artistic photography, graphic artwork and illustrative art of 'her' to stretch things out so she wouldn't burn out from just doing one type of artistic style all the this time.
She could always open the door to models to be on her cover...the non-standard types.

Comment: MomaKnowz she is 100% right. Oprah has "turned off" a lot of folks, and the "Oprah hype" has simmered. People just aren't feeling her like anymore. They should just discontinue the magazine. I got a promotional notice in the mail from her publishers a couple of months ago. They were offering a 1 Year subscription to "O" for $8.00.That is a severely discounted subscription rate. So, what does that tell ya? They are desperate for folks to buy the magazine. Needless to type, I put the notice in the garbage. They could give it to me for free & I still wouldn't be interested.

Comment: Oprah should stop posing for the cover. It gets stale and boring to see her month after month and besides its rather egotistical. Every magazine features others so if Oprah decides ever to get off, there is a world of other people that could go on the cover. I love Oprah but seeing her month after month on her over priced spread is BORING!!!!!!
