Comment: the movie was just ok but we will see if the tv show is better they only gave him 10 shows to make it work.

Comment: it might be good if david mann will be playing leroy brown in it because he is hilarious.......house of payne sucks big time and needs to be taken off the air.

Name: STONEY605
Comment: It would never work without David Mann playing Mr Brown he play him in the movie and the play

Comment: As much as I've tried to watch House of Pain, it has to be one of the worse written shows on TV, yet it's the top rated comedy on cable. So we have spoken, we have said this is what we like, so we can probably expect more of the same.

Comment: I hope Tyler will film this show with a live studio audience, that is what turned me off with House of Payne. That laught track--I hate it.

Comment: D0ne u are so right about the writing on House of Payne is so bad Tyler needs to step back on let some new blood come in and write because he writes and direts every show i thinks its to much for him then he does the same for all his movies also plus stars in them too . Tyler needs to step back a little he spreading his self to thin.

Comment: this is the reason why i don't watch TBS.

Comment: Im sorry to all the Tyler Perry fans but I seen Meet the Browns a couple times now and all I can say is What The Funk? LOL! This show moves like a amateur play that is now on TV. LOL! It seems like it is ghetto sunday church crowd ready but it had a problem translating into the TV world in its look and movement and effect. I dont get why this show is praised. I have never seen a black show like it! LOL! What audience is this for? LOL! His church crowd that loves his plays on Sundays? Im sorry. Just keepin it real. The dude who plays the father - Lawd Jesus. What the country bamma funk is he supposed to be? I saw him at an awards ceremony and he acted the same way in person. LOL! What The Funk?!??!

Comment: Sorry I meant to say House of Payne! LOL!

Comment: I happen to like House of Payne, they can do better with the writers. however it is no different from Martin, or Good Times, they might need to recast some of the parts, because the acting is not that great, but all in all I think it is funny and it has gotten better.

Name: Dovelyone
Comment: House of Payne DOES NOT measure up to Martin by content, acting, directing, writing, etc. Unless I'm really oblivious to coonery. I don't want to call HOP coonery; but the acting and the writing has NO DEPTH. Can't NOBODY say that Martin's show and characters weren't interesting to watch. I never got interested in the HOP characters/storylines. Good Times is an entirely different conversation.

Comment: More foolishness from TP. He has got to be the luckiest man in the world to have gotten as far as he has with his limited and often uninteresting vision of Black life. I admit to be in the minority in finding him tremendously overrated.

Comment: I'm not looking forward to this show at all. HOP was such a disappointment. Except for the epidsodes that David Mann was in, it's just not funny. Some of the characters have gotten better, like Curtis and Calvin. But Malik, bless his heart, he needs to give it up. He is horrible. And the writing is so shallow and predictable. I hope it improves. But Tyler doesn't seem to take advice from anyone. His movie "Why Did I Get Married" was his best work.

Name: Muzak
Comment: The funniest sitcom right now for me. Has to be "Everybody Loves Chris". That show is hilarious. The writing, the characters and the acting is off the charts.(lol)
