Comment: Hey, JFrom. Here are my comments for yesterday. Rahway - I wouldn't ask a man if I'm fat; I agree with asize, I can answer that for myself. Sounds like your friend is feeling self-conscious. /The invention I can't do without is caller ID. /I don't think the election polls are very accurate, either. Thanks to caller ID, if it's an 800 or unknown number I don't answer. Lots of folks are like me, so we aren't responding to polls. /I ain't never, and never plan to, clean no floor on my hands and knees. Mops (especially sponge) work great for me. Swiffer is good for quick clean ups. /asize - Since you have so many numbers in your cell phone, do you back up your phone to your computer? I haven't done it in a few months, so this reminds me. That is all for now, I'm going to bed. I'll be back later this morning. (YLawdY am I up this late? Partly because I'm a night owl, partly because Cold Case Files has good episodes, and partly just because I can.)

I love that you are caring for the baby. Slenda, what does buggered mean? Dont these alchies in your respective work place know that vodka is the alcohol of choice when trying to mask your alcoholic binges. The Quietguy that story about Jeremiah Wright is an old one, but I do believe it is true, he is a pastor pimp also.

Comment: Lovely, it is all I can do to not get involved in these political convos at work. I am prone to call out ignorance and I just dont think that will bode well here since I am the newest and the low man on the totem poll. Some of these people that I work with are smart intellectually meaning they can grasp the concepts that we work with, but they are far from cosmopolitan and they are mostly culturally red necks. They are nice people personally but they are a bunch of highly paid and or skilled hicks.

Comment: HEY OSUN! I asked yesterday if you've been watching The Hills this season. I really don't like Lo and I think she is the reason why Audrina and Lauren's relationship is struggling. And Spencer makes me sick. I don't know WHY Heidi is with him... RANDOM>> The coastal part of my county is on the 'Voluntary Evacuation' list for Ike. I live inland from the Gulf of Mexico(about 30-40 miles) and am in Zone 4 of the evacuation (coast is Zone 1, and it gets higher the more inland you get). I don't know whether or not I should evacuate. It is not madatory because the track of the storm is iffy. Decisions, decisions... AMETHYST>> That Strawberry Letter was sad. But, I think it is only going to get worse in the years to come. That is why it is not wise to be having babies by random dudes who are not a part of your or the child's life. And since some men have a tendacy to drop their seeds and keep it moving, their offspring could end up meeting, falling in love, and worse--procreating with their half-sibling. I made this same point a couple of weeks ago. My little cousin is having her FOURTH with her FOURTH baby daddy. She was gay about two years ago during her baby-making hiatus. She has had two babies since then, lives in public housing and is hiding her current baby daddy (who doesn't work) in her apartment. That child is so confused.... and dumb. Yall have a good day today! That ish just made my head hurt!

Comment: Good morning cyber-dudes & dudettes'..
Here’s the thought for the day. It is a continuation – Part 3 of 4.
Stick to the Plan (Part 3)
Then Peter got... out of the boat, walked on the water... toward Jesus. (Matthew 14:28-29 NIV)
Peter proved that as long as you keep your eyes on Jesus and stick to the plan, you won't go under. Notice:
(1) Before you get into something, make sure it's God's will for you! Peter said, "Lord, if it's You, bid me to come to You on the water" and Jesus said, "Come." Before you take on something like water-walking, pray and be sure God's in it. In other words, get God's plan and stick to it.
(2) Don't expect everybody in the boat to go with you. Water-walking is a lonely calling; it sets you apart from those who are timid and security-minded. It also tends to bring criticism from those who think you're making them look bad by contrast.
(3) If you wait for good weather you'll miss your moment. When Jesus said, "Come," they were in the middle of a storm. Face it; we'd all like the stars to line up, or some big donor to underwrite the whole project before we make a move. But how often does that happen? Peter wasn't walking on the water; he was walking on the Word! What has God told you to do? Stop waiting for ideal conditions and start doing it!
(4) Don't expect a mistake-free performance. Nobody walks without fluctuation. The Bible describes its heroes in one sentence: "Whose weakness was turned to strength" (Hebrews 11:34 NIV). All the great men and women of God you admire go through sinking spells when they cry out, "Lord, save me." And do you know what? He does! And He'll do the same for you. (~The Vine, Bob Gass)
Make it great!

Comment: World wants Obama as president: poll
Posted Tue Sep 9, 2008 10:50pm AEST
US Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama may be struggling to nudge ahead of his Republican rival in polls at home, but people across the world want him in the White House, a BBC poll said.
All 22 countries covered in the poll would prefer to see Senator Obama elected US president ahead of Republican John McCain.
In 17 of the 22 nations, people expect relations between the US and the rest of the world to improve if Senator Obama wins.
More than 22,000 people were questioned by pollster GlobeScan in countries ranging from Australia to India and across Africa, Europe and South America.
The margin in favour of Senator Obama ranged from 9 per cent in India to 82 per cent in Kenya, while an average of 49 per cent across the 22 countries preferred Senator Obama compared with 12 per cent preferring Senator McCain. Some four in 10 did not take a view.
"Large numbers of people around the world clearly like what Barack Obama represents," GlobeScan chairman Doug Miller said.
"Given how negative America's international image is at present, it is quite striking that only one in five think a McCain presidency would improve on the Bush administration's relations with the world."
In the United States, three polls taken since the Republican party convention ended on Thursday (local time) show Senator McCain with a lead of 1 to 4 percentage points - within the margin of error - and two others show the two neck-and-neck.
The countries most optimistic that an Obama presidency would improve relations were America's NATO allies, including Australia (62 per cent).
A similar BBC/Globescan poll conducted ahead of the 2004 U.S presidential election found that, of 35 countries polled, 30 would have preferred to see Democratic nominee John Kerry, rather than the incumbent George Bush, who was elected.
A total of 23,531 people in Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Egypt, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Kenya, Lebanon, Mexico, Nigeria, Panama, the Philippines, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Turkey, the UAE, Britain and the United States were interviewed face-to-face or by telephone in July and August 2008 for the poll.

Comment: Welcome to the next step in our Big Brother Society. NYC Emergency Hot Lines Accepting Photos, Videos
New Technology Allows For Advanced Reporting Of Crimes And Complaints Over Quality Of Life Issues
NEW YORK (CBS) ? A picture is truly worth a thousand words, as far as New York City's new 9-1-1 calls are concerned.
On Tuesday, Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced that photos and video can now be transmitted to the hotline. Operators will notify the NYPD when callers have cell phone images of accidents or crimes.
"Before I became mayor, I built a business on the idea that we could improve companies' performance by delivering better information faster, and we've tried to bring that same philosophy to government," Bloomberg said.
Bloomberg also emphasized that the most important thing to do in an emergency is not to take pictures, but to call for help.
Callers with a cell phone video or photo of a crime also can notify the emergency operator, and a detective with the New York Police Department's Real Time Crime Center will call back to receive the images.
By next year, photos sent by bystanders will be made available to patrol cars in the area. "This technology should put a scare into every would-be criminal, because the chances of getting caught in the act is now better than ever," said Bloomberg.
Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said major improvements to technology within the department in the past six years have helped reduced crime, which is down more than 3 percent so far this year from last year. More than 12,000 new computers have been installed in precincts around the city, technology in radio cars has been improved and the department is better able to share information.
"When I returned to the department in 2002, I saw that very little had changed as far as technology. We were still one of the world's leading users of carbon paper and Wite-Out. But that's changed significantly," he said.
While hundreds of cities around the country accept text messages to emergency hot lines, New York is believed to be the first city with the capability to accept images, which may be used as evidence when prosecuting criminals, officials said.
City officials said it's also possible to deliver images anonymously with a few extra steps. Kelly has said he would welcome all images, including videos like the one widely circulated online in July that showed a police officer body-checking a cyclist taking part in a protest ride.
The city's non-emergency hot line, 311, is also now equipped to accept video and photos of everything from graffiti to potholes. New Yorkers can submit those images through the city's Web site or call the hot line. Bloomberg said it will help residents to better describe some of their quality-of-life woes.
It took about 18 months to develop the image software and cost about $250,000, city officials said. The NYPD gets about 11 million 911 calls annually, and 311 gets about 15 million.

Comment: Firefighters view porn while on clock
Chief says 36 employees accessed raunchy websites from city computers
------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------

© 2008 WorldNetDaily
Austin, Texas, firefighters have found a way to kill time between saving lives and extinguishing fires.
As many as 36 employees are facing disciplinary action after authorities found they had accessed pornographic websites on city computers, the Austin American-Statesman reported.
Acting fire chief Jim Evans said officials are investigating which websites were viewed, when and how long the firefighters spent on several sex sites. Authorities discovered the activity while conducting routine server maintenance in June.
"This was not a witch hunt," Evans said. "We weren't looking for this."
The 36 individuals being investigated are not high ranking.
Evans said the fire department may install porn-blocking software on city computers to keep firefighters from viewing sexually explicit websites while at work.
This is not the first time Austin firefighters have been disciplined for inappropriate conduct. As WND previously reported, former fire crew leader Michael Pooler was recently fired after he made a pit stop at Burger King before responding to an emergency call from a 77-year-old woman in respiratory failure.
The Austin Fired Department recruiting website touts its hiring program as one of the toughest in the nation.
"[G]etting into the Austin Fire Department is no easy task," it says. "We did a study and found that it's actually easier to get into Harvard University than AFD!"
The American-Statesman report prompted several online comments including the following:
Maybe the firefighteres [sic] were investigating to see whether or not the scenes were too hot and could have caused a fire. What would Smokey the Bear have done?
What's the big deal? They are on call for 24 hours or more at a time, mostly sitting around eating or sleeping. What do you think a bored, healthy, young man is going to do when there is nothing else going on? Give them a break, you prudes. What ever happened to "keep Austin weird"?

Comment: Talk about head hurting. I watched my little snugglebug last night. While there, a 17 year old friend of (I have to come up with a name for her) stopped by to use the phone. She was repeatedly calling a number on the house phone while chirping someone on her cell...all with no answer. I watched her face become sadder and sadder. Did I mention she's having a baby girl due on 9/27? I'm only assuming she's trying to reach the father of her child. Snugglebug's father has taken off for college with instructions for daughter#2 (that will be her new name) to stop calling him all the time. Meanwhile Daughter#2 had a convo with me about an argument she had with her 36 year old sister and they aren't speaking. Her sister had a baby boy two weeks ago today. What was the argument about? Who's baby daddy was the worst %*$!(@!. WTF? Her sister had a baby by a 20 year old, unemployed, high school drop out after only 4 months of "dating". Oh yeah, he also stole her car and was MIA for a couple of MONTHS! He now resides in jail. By this point my head is hurting when Daughter#2 says "I can't listen to her. She's my big sister and is supposed to be a role model, but she's more messed up than I am. If my mom hadn't got sick, things would be better." Then my heart broke. Thank you, family, for letting me unburden myself.

Comment: LONG BB POST. Feel free to scroll past... Yellowchile> After watching last night's show and reading the blogs, I have mixed emotions about Dan. He IS the most gifted player, but he did Keisha wrong by making her think it was Memphis idea to send her home. Dan was 50/50 a part of the decision. However, Keesha is going to the jury house with a tainted view of Dan, and I am sure that Michelle is going back to convince the remaining members to vote for him, too. For that, he is brilliant for orchestrating. Did you see how he tried to start a semi argument with Memph in front of Jerry. They are trying to make it seem like that are mad with each other over Keesha, but really they are an alliance. Remember, Julie Chen asked Keesha what did he say to her and she said that Dan whipsered "I took Michelle on the trip". This was a blatant move to get Keesha to work with Michelle to make him win. HOWEVER, when Memphis (who is in his alliance) asked him what he said to Keesha, he lied and said that he told her to get Renny to vote for him. Oh, by the way, BB is pulling the strings with the drama in the house. Do you know that BB told Memphis that he COULD NOT tell Keesha that he was sending her home? That is why he couldn't look her in the eye.

Students can send text message tips to cops
CPS | Teens in 10 high schools can send messages to alert police about possible violence -- and maybe earn rewards
September 9, 2008
BY ROSALIND ROSSI AND FRANK MAIN Staff Reporters
Students who see a gun or overhear plans about an after-school fight can now tip off authorities the 21st century way -- by anonymously text-messaging police -- under a program announced Monday involving 10 Chicago public high schools.
Crime Stoppers of Cook County is even offering rewards to tipsters whose information produces arrests. For murder cases, that can involve up to $1,000.
Teens in 10 high schools can send messages to alert police about possible violence and possibly earn rewards.
(AP)
"Practically every student these days has a cell phone. Students are texting each other messages faster than they can dial a number,'' Police Supt. Jody Weis said in announcing the pilot program with Chicago Public Schools CEO Arne Duncan.
"We want them to text a tip to the police -- a tip that could potentially save their life or someone else's."
All text messages must begin with the letters "cpd'' and can include common text abbreviations.
In launching the program, Chicago joins a growing list of cities that have turned to text messaging to tap into a popular way for youth -- and others -- to communicate. While other cities are taking tips-by-text citywide, Chicago is starting out small, with a pilot program in 10 CPS schools.
"I think it's a great idea,'' said Carlos Magdaleno, 16, a member of the Mikva Youth Safety Council who is a junior at Gage Park High School.
"Nine out of 10 kids at Gage Park have cell phones. . . . They would do this for their own safety,'' he said.
Joining Gage Park in the pilot program are Dyett, Douglass, Harper, Sullivan, Crane, Phillips, Richards, Hirsch and Fenger high schools.
Text tips will be routed to Canada, encrypted and forwarded to CPD without a phone number, said Paul Rutherford, of Crime Stoppers of Cook County. Tipsters will receive a code number and can call (800) 535-STOP to see if their tip resulted in an arrest.

The stuff i hate is to just hear a chick screaming bloody murder when you KNOW the man isn't even really hitting it enough to get that kind of response. I also hate semi-flacid 'packages' -- just reminds me of a wobbly tube of jello.

I remember watching one and we just kept saying DAMN, she looks just like my cousin Diane! So that was a bit awkward...then there was one that we watched where the men were SO abusive to the women and the women were obviously amateurs (they couldn't be older than 18) that I got pis.sed and was going off on the dudes and so we didn't finish watching that one...Then there was one when the girls just looked like they hadn't had a bath in a while...then there was one when some African dude was doing his thing and kept saying "Ohhhh baby" in an annoying accent and we were laughing HYSTERICALLY! Some of that stuff is a hot mess!

He has this room behind the aquarium and you can see straight into the room through the fish. He (like me) keeps a fully stocked bar and i think he's waiting for some sort of group orgie to pop off. NOT! None of us have ever gotten THAT drunk.

Comment: The NATIONAL ENQUIRER’S exclusive ongoing investigation of GOP VP Nom Sarah 'Barracuda' Palin’s goes far beyond a mere teen pregnancy crisis this week!
The Enquirer’s team of reporters has combed the Alaskan wilderness to discover the hidden truth about Gov. Palin’s family, which has become a central part of political identity.
The ENQUIRER has learned exclusively that Sarah's oldest son, Track, was addicted to the power drug OxyContin for nearly the past two years, snorting it, eating it, smoking it and even injecting it. And as Track, 19, heads to Iraq as part of the U.S. armed forces, Sarah and her husband Todd were powerless to stop his wild antics, detailed in the new issue of The ENQUIRER, which goes on sale today.
THE ENQUIRER also has exclusive details about Track's use of other drugs, including cocaine, and his involvement in a notorious local vandalism incident.
“I’ve partied with him (Track) for years,” a source disclosed. “I’ve seen him snort cocaine, snort and smoke OxyContin, drink booze and smoke weed.”
The source also divulged the girls would do anything for Track and he’d use his local celebrity to manipulate other guys “to get them to steal things he wanted.”
“He finally did what a lot of troubled kids here do,” the source divulged. “You join the military.”
And as Gov. Palin has billed the state of Alaska for various expenses related to her children, as reported by The Washington Post, The ENQUIRER's investigation reveals that she was so incensed by 17-year-old Bristol's pregnancy that she banished her daughter from the house.
Another family friend revealed pre-prego Bristol was as much of a hard partier as Track was.
“Bristol was a huge stoner and drinker. I’ve seen her smoke pot and get drunk and make out with so many guys. All the guys would brag that the just made out with Bristol.”
When Sarah found out the teen was pregnant by high schooler Levi Johnston, she was actually banished from the house. As part of the cover-up, Palin quickly transferred Bristol to another high school and made her move in with Sarah’s sister Heather 25 miles away!
And the ENQUIRER also learned that Levi Johnston, the baby mamma’s future wedded dada, who was glad handed by John McCain at the GOP Convention, isn’t too happy about his impending shotgun nups either.
“Levi got dragged out of the house to go to Minnesota,” Levi’s friend told The ENQUIRER. “Levi realizes he’s stuck being with Bristol because her mom is running for Vice President.”
The friend also confided that both Bristol and Levi “broke up a few times and they definitely messed around with other people.”
Meanwhile, as members of the Palin family’s war viciously over “Trooper-Gate” and claims of Sarah’s extramarital affair have turned the political race into a chaotic arena of threats, denials and vicious attacks by political black ops, The ENQUIRER has discovered shocking new details about the red-hot affair scandal!

The only thing I'll suggest is check it out. It is not for the faint of heart. I think for me, it was QUANTITY of stuff on the site. I mean, I don't think there is anything that you can think of that is not there. I saw something that I actually had to ponder the possibilties that someone could do 'that'. I mean, I had my head leaned down to my shoulder while viewing one particular image, because I was thing, HOW?! So, dont access on your employers computers, and it is not for young folks, even though the 14 year old was the one who hipped us to it. As I said, I fairly open minded, but then again, by comparison, maybe I'm not as liberal as I think I am. The site is um informative.

Comment: Size12, Bill O' Reilly is simply revolting. He is the epitome of that yt boss you just want to strangulate if you could only be granted clemency from the governor. He is very effective at shouting down his guests, cutting them off from answering any of his questions and then chiding all of their responses. I saw a clip this morning before I left for work from the Jimmy Kimmel Show that took the O'Reilly/Obama interview and edited it. It was hilarious beecause it just showed Bill O'Reilly asking Obama a question then never giving him a chance to answer. I understand that Obama went onto Bill O'Clown's show to quiet the naysayers who accused him of being too scared but I know that deep inside he wishes he could stomp the yard with dude's face! And then Fox got the nerve to claim that they report "Fair and Balanced" journalism...yeah, right! Don't even get me started on Sean "The Hate Monger" Hannity! But Keith Olberman has their number, though...And I think tonight is the last installment of the Obama/O'Reilly interview. This is where the juice is supposed to fly as Barack explains his ties to some of the reported controversial figures in Chicago. All said, Bill O' Clown did say that even after the interview he respects Obama's resolve and that he is not a wimp! Take what you want from that "compliment"...

I can't compliment Barack enough for the way he's conducted himself so far during the interview with O'Reilly. I know he was probably coached before he went on but still...O' Reilly just reminds me of that little bad azz white kid in the shopping cart that needs to be slapped across the face with the backside of the hand. As far as Sean Hannity...repulsive, repugnant and revolting. Thing is, he represents the backwards thinking, hypocritical ultra-conservative closet racists and hate mongers that are in our midst. They don't have the balls to say it or are in a forum to say it so Sean Hannity does the work for them. I think he's a gimmick created by Fox to stir up hate and discontent. We all know someone or people that seem to only exist for that purpose...did you hear how he was going off after The O'Reilly Show went off because Barack Obama called him out during the interview? Yeah! Barack told Bill that so many people on Fox speak untruths and foster hate...like Sean Hannity!

Comment: Imam W. Deen Mohammed, the rebellious son of the late Nation of Islam leader Elijah Muhammad who broke from black nationalism and moved thousands of African-Americans to mainstream Islam, died Tuesday, according to family members."Brother Imam," as he was known by his followers, was pronounced dead at his home in Markham, said a spokesman for the Cook County medical examiner. He was 74.
As Muslims marked the holy month of Ramadan, Mohammed was scheduled to speak Tuesday in Chicago, but many grew concerned when he did not appear. His last speaking engagement was at his regular monthly address delivered Sunday in Homewood and aired live to a radio audience."He was a pioneer in the Muslim-American community and was one of the first leaders to get Muslims to think about their faith in context of the larger society," said Rami Nashashibi, executive director of the Inner-City Muslim Action Network, which worked closely with Mohammed. "He was also a pioneer in getting Muslims to embrace their religious identity at a time when that wasn't very popular."

Comment: On Tuesday night, his family issued a brief statement announcing his death. "We ask that you pray for our father and leader," the statement said.
In 1975, Mohammed succeeded his father as leader of the Nation of Islam, a religious movement that melds black nationalism with the Islamic faith. He immediately tried to move its followers toward traditional Islam, which led to a split between those who agreed with Mohammed's approach and those who joined a revived Nation of Islam under Minister Louis Farrakhan.
His followers refer to the period when Mohammed took over the Nation as "The Second Resurrection."
"I don't think people understand the tremendous change that occurred when he made that move," said Lawrence Mamiya, professor of religion at Vassar College. "He moved people from that concept of black nationalism into universal consciousness of their faith."

Comment: Wallace D. Mohammed was born Oct. 30, 1933, in Detroit, the seventh of eight children of Elijah and Clara Muhammad. (He became known later as Imam Warithuddeen Mohammed.)His father was a disciple of W.D. Fard, a door-to-door salesman who founded a small sect in that city known alternatively as the Lost-Found Nation of Islam and the Allah Temple of Islam. Upon Fard's mysterious disappearance in 1934, Elijah Muhammad proclaimed Fard to be God and announced himself as his messenger, a divinely inspired prophet.
Imprisoned in 1961 W. Deen Mohammed was for many years an obedient son. He was the minister of the Nation of Islam's mosques in Chicago and Philadelphia in the 1950s. On his 28th birthday in 1961, Mohammed was sent to federal prison in Minnesota for refusing, on the basis of Nation of Islam teachings, induction into the U.S. military.
But there were cracks in Mohammed's loyalty to his father's sometimes-harsh doctrine. He sneaked to movies when his father was alive, because moviegoing was prohibited in the Nation of Islam. While serving his prison sentence, Mohammed re-evaluated his father's preaching. In 1964, Mohammed told a reporter for Chicago's American newspaper: "The man I looked to all my life, thinking he was loved and guided by God more than any man on Earth, turned out not to be that kind of man at all."

Comment: Expelled from the Nation of Islam for his criticism, Mohammed supported his family by driving a cab, welding, plucking chickens and working as a house painter and a junkman. In 1978, Farrakhan broke with Mohammed and formed his own counter-movement. He revived the name Nation of Islam, saying he intended to follow the teachings of Elijah Muhammad.
But most observers think the greater number of African-American Muslims remained loyal to W. Deen Mohammed than to Farrakhan.Despite their differences, Mohammed and Farrakhan reconciled in a series of joint appearances starting in 1999 and pledged to work together. He achieved historic milestones for Muslim-Americans. In 1992, he became the first Muslim to deliver an invocation to the U.S. Senate. In 1993 and 1997, he recited from the Holy Quran at President Bill Clinton's two inaugural interfaith prayer services. On Tuesday, as Muslims of all racial identities mourned his death, it seemed his vision of Muslim unity was momentarily fulfilled."He was America's imam," said Ahmed Rehab, executive director of the Chicago chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations. Mohammed's survivors include his wife, Shirley, nine children and several grandchildren.Services are set to follow 1:30 p.m. afternoon prayers Thursday at the Islamic Foundation, 300 W. Highridge Rd., Villa Park. A memorial service is being planned for Saturday.

Comment: Finally a way the Republicans can help our energy problem since their so full of shat! SAN ANTONIO (Reuters) - San Antonio unveiled a deal on Tuesday that will make it the first U.S. city to harvest methane gas from human waste on a commercial scale and turn it into clean-burning fuel.
San Antonio residents produce about 140,000 tons a year of a substance gently referred to as "biosolids," which can be reprocessed into natural gas, said Steve Clouse, chief operating officer of the city's water system.
"You may call it something else," Clouse said, but for area utilities, the main byproduct of human waste - methane gas - will soon be converted into natural gas to burn in their power plants.
The city approved a deal where Massachusetts-based Ameresco Inc will convert the city's biosolids into natural gas, which could generate about 1.5 million cubic feet per day, he said.
Methane gas, which is a byproduct of human and organic waste, is a principal component of the natural gas used to fuel furnaces, power plants, and other combustion-based generators.
"The private vendor will come onto the facility, construct some gas cleaning systems, remove the moisture, remove the carbon dioxide content, and then sell that gas on the open market," Clouse said.
The gas will be sold to power generators, he said.
Some communities are using methane gas harvested from solid waste to power smaller facilities like sewage treatment plants, but San Antonio is the first to see large-scale conversion of methane gas from sewage into fuel for power generation, he said.
Following the agreement, more than 90 percent of materials flushed down the toilets and sinks of San Antonio will be recycled, he said. Liquid is now used for irrigation, many of the solids are made into compost, and now the methane gas will be recycled for power generation.

Comment: NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The mother of Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young said he's "hurting inside and out" and indicated he might not want to play football any longer.
Felicia Young said in Wednesday editions of The Tennessean that her son is tired of all of the negativity he's faced after being booed during a 17-10 win Sunday over Jacksonville.
"What would you think, if you were tired of being ridiculed and persecuted and talked about and not being treated very well, what would you do? What kind of decision would you make?" Felicia Young said. "He may not want to deal with it [all], but you have to get to that point before you make that decision first.
"But we're not talking about football right now. We're talking about what would make him happy, and that is the most important thing."
Young was the subject of a four-hour search Monday night by Nashville police, who were called by Titans coach Jeff Fisher after Young's family members expressed concern about Young's "emotional well-being," according to police.
Vince Young's agent, Major Adams, told ESPN reporter George Smith that he didn't know why the story has taken on a life of its own.
Adams said he called Young's friend's house after hearing that Young was missing. Adams said the quarterback was upbeat and watching the Monday night games, and confirmed that Young was without his cell phone.
As for reports about depression or Young's fragile emotional state, Adams told Smith they're "unfounded."
"It's the first time I've heard that. I know he's not battling depression," Adams said. "He's fine mentally. I think it's a misunderstanding and misinformation."
This isn't the first time that Young has talked of wanting to quit football. He told a reporter last spring that he thought of retiring after his rookie season, a statement he said later was taken out of context.
The No. 3 pick overall in the 2006 draft, Young won the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and followed up by helping the Titans reach the playoffs last season with a 10-6 record. But he has been criticized for his passing struggles after having only nine touchdowns and 17 interceptions in 2007.
His mental state has been in question since he was booed Sunday after his second interception during the Jacksonville game. He didn't want to go back into the game until prodded by coach Jeff Fisher.

Comment: He sprained his left medial collateral ligament four plays later and could be out for up to four weeks. Fisher said Tuesday night he is ruling Young out for only Sunday's game at Cincinnati.
But Young didn't go to the team's offices Monday and postponed his MRI exam until Tuesday. He met with a psychologist, along with Fisher and another team official, at his home Monday.
Four hours of uncertainty followed Monday night when Young left his home without his phone, prompting someone at his home to call Fisher. Fisher, in turn, called police to help find the quarterback.
When he was finally found, Young agreed to meet with Fisher and police at the team's training facility, after which Young drove himself home.
Felicia Young said they are going to give her son some space.
"It is hard, all he is going through right now. He's hurting inside and out," she told The Tennessean.
"But he will be fine if people are prayerful and help my baby boy out. He is a young man. He just needs a lot of love and support."

Comment: Vince Young - stop being a puzzy! Instead of pacifying him, his Mama should have slapped him upside his head. WTF? He ain't doing shat for the team of course they will boo his azz. This year is his year to show and prove or move the fukk on and he gets out there and throws a few interceptions, gets frustrated and don't want to go back in the game, only to go back in and get hurt a few plays later. He needs to put in some extra work practicing and learning plays, film, studying his team, so that he can make a more significant impact. At the end of the day, he signed up for this and SHOULD know the pressures EVERY QB faces. Like Billy from Purple Rain "Dis a bitness muthafukka" LOL They are gonna get rid of his azz if he don't step it up. That is big $$ we are talking about. With big $$$ comes big pressure. If his pressure pipes burst that easily, then he doesn't have what it takes. It was the first game of the regular season. Learn from your mistakes and improve on them, instead of whining and running off like a little bytch. That is what this type of press is making him sound like. I hope an older player reaches out to Vince and have a heart to heart with him about this mess b/c he is trippin right now.

Comment: Fellow ex-Kansas Jayhawks teammates Darrell Arthur and Mario Chalmers apologized for their role in an incident at the NBA's rookie transition program earlier this week but denied using marijuana, the Memphis Commercial Appeal and Associated Press reported Friday.
On Wednesday, Arthur and Chalmers were kicked out of the program for violating its rules. They were dismissed after women -- a violation of the program's no-visitors rule -- and a strong smell of marijuana were found in their hotel room at the program.
Arthur returned to Memphis and spoke with Grizzlies coach Marc Iavaroni and general manager Chris Wallace, apologizing for the situation, according to the Commercial Appeal report.
"I told them it won't happen again," Arthur said Thursday, the newspaper reported. "I want people to know I'm a good kid. … This is the first really bad thing that's happened to me. But I'm going to prove to people that I'm worthy to be on this team, I have good character and I'll be good in the community."
Chalmers, a Miami Heat guard, released an apology through the team to several parties, including NBA commissioner David Stern, Heat owner Micky Arison, Heat president Pat Riley, Heat coach Erik Spoelstra and the Kansas basketball family.
"Everyone who knows me knows I am a good person and I pride myself on doing the right thing," Chalmers said. "I am embarrassed this happened. I broke the rules, but I did not smoke marijuana."

Comment: Chalmers, who sank the game-tying, buzzer-beating 3-pointer that forced overtime in Kansas' 75-68 championship victory over Memphis, was drafted 34th by Minnesota. He was quickly traded to Miami, where he is expected to vie for the starting point guard position after playing well during summer league. Chalmers played three seasons for the Jayhawks.
"I made a poor decision in putting myself in the situation that I did," Chalmers said. "It is a dream of a lifetime to play in the NBA and be part of the Miami Heat. I look forward to starting my NBA career, this was a one-time occurrence and it won't happen again."
Arthur, also an early-entry candidate who played two years at Kansas, was a sympathetic figure on draft night. Roundly believed to have lottery-type talent, Arthur sank to the 27th spot after erroneous rumors of a health problem circulated throughout the league.
Then, after being selected by New Orleans, the 6-foot-9 forward was traded to Portland, then Houston, before finally settling in Memphis.
Sources told ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard that Chalmers and Arthur were caught in Arthur's room at the Doral Arrowwood resort in Rye Brook, N.Y., when a smoke alarm went off Wednesday at about 2 a.m. Hotel management went to the room, but the players refused to allow them in.
Management then left to get security, which used its own key to enter the room minutes later. Once inside, security found Chalmers, Arthur and at least two women, sources told Broussard. There was a strong stench of marijuana in the room, and one person was in the bathroom with the door locked, repeatedly flushing the toilet, sources said.

Comment: The police were called to the room, which they searched, but neither marijuana nor drug paraphernalia was found. Representatives from the players' association were also on the scene by that time, sources told Broussard.
Arthur told the Commercial Appeal he had no involvement with marijuana and denied ever using the drug.
"About the marijuana … I didn't have any. I didn't have anything to do with marijuana or anything like that. I'd like to clear that up," Arthur said, according to the newspaper. "I used bad judgment by bringing the girls in and violating the rules."
Sources said Stern was livid about the situation and ordered the players banished from the program. During his speech to participants on Wednesday, he mentioned Chalmers and Arthur by name and told the 67 rookies in attendance that the two would be thrown out of the program and forced to attend the 2009 session.
Riley, speaking Friday to the Miami Herald before attending a Hall of Fame pep rally in advance of his induction to the Hall of Fame, said Chalmers' expulsion from the rookie program was "an embarrassment," but said it won't result in disciplinary action from the team.
Riley told the newspaper he spoke with Chalmers and would have a face-to-face meeting with him sometime next week. After being dismissed from the program, Chalmers returned to Miami and spoke with Spoelstra.
"It's something that really can't be tolerated," Riley said. "He's absolutely embarrassed and morose about it. I don't think he's that kind of person, and I don't think he'll get himself caught in that kind of situation again."

STAR Jones is finally free of her freeloading hubby. Jones and Al Reynolds reached a last-minute settlement yesterday, moments before they were set to appear in court. Reynolds was said to be upset with the airtight prenup he signed, which left him with "basically nothing," sources said - but finally relented to avoid court costs. A rep for Jones said the two "have reached an amicable settlement in their divorce proceeding . . . Both parties are moving on with their private lives." Jones has been happily dating hunky chef Herb Wilson.

I have gone to adult stores before and seen some interesting things. If you're going to spend the rest of your life with someone surely you gotta think of some new stuff from time to time to keep things spicy and hot. I don't think I'd want to make a video because 1) I can't imagine watching myself have sex and 2) if we broke up and he showed it to others or put it on the net I'd catch a case. A former co-worker told us that her son found a video of his father and stepmother. It was in an unmarked case on the shelf in the family room. DUH! His dad had the nerve to get mad at the boy. They should have put it away somewhere up in a closet. Who wouldn't put in an unmarked tape to see what's on it? Have/do any of you women go to strip clubs where women are performing? Did/do you go with your man?

There was a guy locally who got caught screwing one of the little horses in the stables at Colonial Williamsburg about 10 years ago. He was arrested, charged, fined and did a little jail time and probation. The most embarrasing part though is that it was all in the papers and EVERYBODY knows who he is. Comment: Teachers and coaches messing with underage girls isn't new; it's been going on for a long time. Now, society views it as molestation. As I said ^^ people just didn't consider it wrong or criminal because of the popularity of the perpetrator and/or the low regard for having sex with girls/women of any age. This is the same scenario with women being raped and abused by their husbands/boyfriends. For decades no one said a word and there weren't even laws that addressed it.

I am fascinated to see how someone can actually take it up the brown hole like that. Regular porn is gay porn as it pertains to women. it often has girl on girl porn. there is a lot of spit swapping in those situations.

Comment: See, this is what happens when greed takes precedent over safety. They are tearing trees down and building all of this high priced town center developments. You may ride past there on the 1st and the development is open on the 15th (ok, a little exaggeration, but not much) CHESTER, Virginia (AP) -- Part of a retail and residential building under construction in a Richmond suburb collapsed Wednesday, and authorities were searching for up to 12 workers who may have been inside.Chesterfield County Fire Lt. Matt Coffin said 911 dispatchers received reports that a dozen workers were inside when a 60-foot section came crashing down around noon. But crews had not confirmed the workers were in the building, and a drywall worker told the Richmond Times-Dispatch that the workers were at lunch at the time of the collapse. Authorities at the scene did not confirm the worker's account, and said a search of the building could take hours."We cannot just go into a building that has collapsed because of the inherent hazards that are there," Coffin said. "We're going to take a very slow approach to this to protect our folks that are involved." Emergency workers were attempting to stabilize the rubble. They brought in sound-sensitive equipment to detect any movements in the collapsed building while they attempt to shore it up. Some rescuers asked people on the scene to be quiet so they could listen to see if any noises were coming from the building. Cindy Martin, who works across the street at Cotas Barber Shop, said she heard a loud noise and saw the building come down and people running out."It's only the grace of God them other guys got out," Martin said.It wasn't clear what caused the collapse. The two-story wood structure is part of Chester Village Green, a mixed-use development in Chester. The community is about 15 miles south of Richmond.

Comment: Lovely - You are and I are >< on the organizing. I am the official organizer for many of my friends and line sisters, and I am resigning my position. Planning events is just in my blood, so I'm making a concerted effort to stop myself. I like everyone coming together to fellowship and have fun, but I like to get a deal and I don't like half-azz and last-minute planning. So, I do it and everyone is happy. I planned my own birthday events in August 'cause when I let some friends do it a few years ago I was disappointed. I'm now being very selective about whom I include because folks are tri-fa-ling.
