Comment: All of that and for Christ sakes, don't be walking around with the look of desperation on your face - that will attract all the predators in your area. Just because you're lonely doesn't mean you have to look like it. You've got to keep up the aesthetics sistah and work on the rest - thats something that men find attractive and especially those outside your normal hanging spots. Broaden your horizons - how difficult is that!

Comment: McNasty...preach. I firmly believe what you project to world is what is returned to you. If she's walking around desperate or looking like the walking wounded, trust -- the wolves will be out in full force to take advantage. And, let us NOT forget -- the best thing to do while single is to fall in love with yourself. If you love yourself up and focus on all the wonderful things about you that make you uniquely you, men will take notice and the right one will make himself apparent to you.

Comment: Just one note, she shouldn't worry about finding male dominated activities; that inself may come across as desperate; she just need to get out and do the things that she enjoy and have fun. When you are living and enjoying life, people take notice. Now if she doesn't know what she enjoys that means that she has no life and she needs to focus on her because even if she finds a man, he will be the wrong type. Strong men like strong women with their own identity, not someone who's going to be up under him 24/7 with no identity of her own.

Comment: What DOne said. She should 'do her.' That way, she's likely to find someone who share one or some of her interests. There's no use in finding someone you think you might connect with only to find out a couple years into the relationship that you have nothing in common and have different values.
Desperation isn't sexy and rarely attracts suitable mates. Love you and love will come sooner or later.
