Comment: Stop with those damn snakes, and to help the vertigo, let your hair go natual, you keep raising that hairline and tightening up that face, you'll be like asian people, who can be "blind-folded" with dental floss!!

Comment: This also affects her relationship with heights. I know. I wasn't afraid of heights until around my late '30's. I know it's real. I can't walk too close to subway platforms either, it does something to your balance. Heights with me? Forget about it.

Comment: ROTFLMBAO! Not until recently! Of course smokin' bud and standing up too quick mimics vertigo!lol Maybe for real it's time for Janet to move on to the next phase of her life. I'm no fan and this is the very first time I'm hearing about this - kinda like how MiJac's vitiligo was sprung on us:) This tour seems to telling her something.

Comment: I am no Janet Jackson fan, but I hope she is okay. Vertigo is usually a SYMPTOM of something else. It is an awful thing.

Comment: ....Yeah, I thought vertigo had sumthing to do with height?....Where is this height?...Dupre is a lil-short-Keebler-esque man...Did she fall off him or sumthing?...Man cmon, this is just Jan's way of breaking sh1t off with Dupre..."His lack of height is causing me health problems and it would be in both of our best interest to end this relationship" -Jan's spokesman....You know he has to pay for throwing up on her....

Comment: Oh lawd..i won't laugh but vertigo is the craziest condition. I once had a prof in college who had it. Many of us knew to just come to class 15minutes late cuz she would get all turned around and end up in another building. SMH! Imagine sitting there and having to go find your own teacher.

Comment: Grace I think for janet stage fright has begun to manifest itself! Performing is second nature to her, or was and now she's had to cancel what she does best?! She stayed away too long and came back and flopped several times - that would leave anyone questioning themselves.

Comment: I'm a hugh fan of Janet's, but I think it's time for her to realize that she's trying too hard to keep up with these younger artists. She could easily go into maybe jazz (exp. That's The Way Love Goes) type of singing and also continue in acting because she is good in that.

I used to read my books as I waited for my train to come until one day, I just go so dizzy lookin' down. I just can't do it anymore. I feel like I'm gonna fall on the tracks.

Comment: Vertigo ain't no joke. I had a couple of bouts with it after Lasik eye surgery. One eye was set for distance; the other for closeup (reading). After the vertigo episodes, I got both eyes set the same and haven't had any problems since.

Comment: As a sufferer of vertigo, it is a dreadfully frightening condition that makes you feel like you're on a merry-go-round moving at 100mph and you can't get off. My first experience with this SUPER dizzying problem was set off by the use of a "Q-tip" in the ear! That's right... a Q-tip. I accidentally inserted it too deeply within my left ear canal, felt a slight twinge and went on about my business for the day. The following morning I happened to turn over (to the left) in bed and "Do Jesus" I felt like my brain was in high rotation mode. As long as my eyes were open, the room appeared to be spinning so fast until I couldn't recognize anything in the room. The only way things started to settle down was when I turned over to the right. So, for the next three days, every time I turned my head to the left (sitting, standing or walking), the episodes started all over again and the only way I could get it to stop was to immediately jerk my head to the right. Vertigo disrupts your balance and coordination, so it would stand to reason why Janet would not be able to perform. Though I still have an occasional bout with Vertigo, particularly if I come down with an ear infection which I am prone to, I have learned to do what's known as "canalith repositioning" exercises which shifts the calcium crystals from the posterior semicircular canal and into another inner ear canal, where it is absorbed by the body. So, my peeps, NO Q-Tips. They can cause you much grief than you could possibly imagine.

Comment: I have had two bouts with the terrible condition over the course of the past 18 months. MINE was accompanied by nausea and vomiting also. The doc gave me some myzceline and it stopped just as abruptly as it started. Although I hope nobody here suffers from it again any time soon, I am very glad to see that it is not all that rare and that others have been through it as well. I live in constant fear of it coming back one day. During the summer season, I work as a sightseeing guide on the double-decker buses in Manhattan. Thank goodness I never had a vertigo attack while doing this. This kind of work requires a lot of climbing and running. Had I suffered an attack of vertigo on the bus, I could've been very seriously injured, or, God forbid, killed.

Comment: Co-sign with the Judge and Grace 12_34. I had a bout of Vertigo at a Super Bowl party (IND/CHI). Needless to say, the party was over for me! Vertigo is horrible! And usually takes about up to three days for it to clear up!

Comment: JudgeJoanie....you are 100% right. I have had bout of Vertigo on and off for the last 10 years or so. I might get it once a year and it ain't no joke. When I have it and turn my head ever so slightly, the room starts spinning out of control. If I weren't already laying down in bed, if would definitely be on the floor. Vertigo is crazy!! It sets me back at least 2-3 days when I get it. I also have a prescription for that Mezcaline stuff. Only bedrest, quiet, and a darkroom seem to help me with it. Get well Janet and take it easy. You are getting older and need to come to terms with your age. Hey...ain't nothing wrong with us women in our 40's. Embrace whatever age God has allowed you to reach.
