The people's luke warm reaction to OJ being convicted this time around has nothing to do with his preference for white women. We love Terrence Howard! Read the blogs my friend, folks just can't stand the sight of OJ no more. Whatever happened between him and those two people, no one knows 100%, but he doesn't seem to respect the fact that two people lost their lives. He has mocked their deaths for 13 years with his flamboyant arrogance and our folks don't like that kind of behavior at all. I believe the story is something like this - he was asked to speak at an HBCU I guess as inspiration for some other young brothers and OJ asked why and proceed with 'I didn't go to no nig ger school! Comment: I co-sign with quite a few of you. First of all,it always disturbed me that people were overjoyed that he got away with murder. I don't think he did it alone but I do think he did it in some way or protected someone who did it (maybe his eldest son). Secondly, the euphoria at his acquittal upset me because good/bad/scandalous, Nicole was the mother of his children and for him to take her way from them was awful. Thirdly, I agree that a black man who chases white/Asian/Latino women to the exclusion of black women is not someone I want to deal with because he will always find me lacking. Men who do this have issues of self-hatred. They do. Other black men can beat me up about this but I believe they do. There are black men who actually fall for a woman not black but you can tell they really love her and not her color when they struggle with the idea of dating a woman not black. Men like that - I'm okay with that. You can't choose who you really fall in love with. BUT these men who only chase white women and black women are invisible to them, that's pathological self-hatred whether they want to admit it or not. If a fell for a white man and it was reciprocated I'd be with him. Love is a precious thing and if God sent me a white man, I'd go with that - but it would be a struggle for me because I prefer black men. As for Chris Rock, well when I watched the stand-up he did where he basically threw his wife under a bus, that was it for me. The man has more issues than Jet so whatever he says is totally irrelevant to me. I say the same thing about D.L. Hughley. I can't stand him now. His sit-com was ridiculous. All he did was bash white people in it. I watched it a few times and couldn't stomach it. And his recent comments about Obama and politics made me want to jump through the radio and b*tch slap him. It boils down to this: we will generally accept stupid behavior once (or rationalize it if it comes up after your death). But you get one shot. OJ got his free pass in '92, and according to the Black Code he was supposed to sit his Black azz down, STHU, and ride off into the sunset with his NFL and pension from his acting career. I just saw this over the weekend but Ron Goldman allegedly dealt in drugs and was also a snitch for the police,his files are closed under a code allegedly thats used for police informants. He allegedly lived in Brentwood on a part time waiters salary. Nicole was allegedly dating a guy who turned out to be a mass murder and the night before she was killed was pictured with him at the Hard Rock Cafe in Hollywood. This guy killed at least 2 -3 other women the way Nicole was killed( and I believe 70 in all, he had painted Nicole's home and his fingerprints were all up in her house)),said guy was also in drugs.Finally it was said Nicole was killed after OJ was on the plane,but her dad after saying Nicole last spoke to her mom after 11 pm inexplicably changed the time to 930- to around 1017. If you google Dr Henry Johnson( a brother here in LA),he has a book and dvd on research he did with his own cash. He also did a 2 hour interview in KPFK last year that I listened to over the weekend on-line.Thought you folks would be interested.Lee how bout an interview with him.

There is a tape (nicole taped it) where you can hear OJ going off because he came in and caught her bending her head to some guy and there was coke all over the table. He said the kids were in the house at the time. There are a whole lotta folks that could have done but OJ is the one that had more than enough reason and the means to carry it out. Comment: Queenie, great comments on the self hatred issue. Like you, I believe love is love ... if it's real love. It 'is' possible to have a real love type scenario with an interracial couple, and I've seen evidence of that on occasion. But, I've seem way more of the other way around where there appears to be self hatred issues that may have resulted in the choice to date/couple/marry interracially. It’s sad to see that type of situation, because things always seems to go the same way… First it’s too hot for the pot. And once the lust/infatuation dries up you’re left with an awkward relationship where the principals are bound often into a negative relationship (sometimes physical or mentally abusive). The elders really did have a good point about not being unequally yoked. And while biblically it applies to dramatically different levels of faith, it also plays out with couples who have nothing in common. I’m a firm believer that regardless of how different a couple is (race, socioeconomic, background) there has to be something where they share a mutual interest or outlook. Sadly, OJ seems to be one of those guys whose interest in white women was based on some level of hatred or need for control. And he gets what he gets. Like 'Herbs, I don't see this robbery thing as payback for the murder of his ex-wife. I see it for what it is... punishment of committing the crime of robbery. For goodness sake, there was a tape of the whole thing.

Comment: So the author of this piece is saying that Black America will stand by a Black person accused of a crime, WHETHER THEY ARE GUILTY OR NOT, just because they're Black? That's what I'm geeting from this. And when OJ was charged with murder I knew some Blacks would rush to defend him for this very reason. Well, I wasn't one of them and never will be. Not just because an accused person and I happen to be the same race. I could never ignore the facts and evidence like that. In fact, several posters on this site have stated how they regretted taking a position like that. Perhaps the passage of time has caused them to realize how idiotic a stance like that really is! The author mentions something about R. Kelly not turning his back on the Black community. Why should he? When we keep quiet about him taking advantage of our daughters and ENSURING that he stays bankrolled while he does it!!! What does R. Kelly being "true" to Black America have to do with him being a pedophile? So it's ok to be a pedophile as long as you "keep it real" with your own kind? Finally, the author states that Blacks can't afford to not have the support of Black America. Well, I'm Black and I can. I have God's support, and if it came down to it, I'D RATHER have his support than the whole of Black America because sometimes WHAT WE EMBRACE is something that is wrong.
