Comment: urgently, a 527 group needs to hammer with narrow focus and precision on Palin's Alaska Independence Party connection: Joe Sixpack believes in the power of being white as well as in the might of the United States that includes the state of Alaska . . . . . . Palin's stumping for Alaska independence trumps Ayers and Wright

Comment: I hope with all her hating on Sen. Obama and black's that the black republician's will get angry and vote OBAMA.

Comment: Dr. Samad - As usual, a thought provoking piece. It seems to me, white folks really think the White House is a house for "white only" residents! Again, superb piece

Comment: jazzfan, if you believe your vote will not count, then for you it wouldn't matter. The point is why support this hater who is dumber than a rock.

Comment: Great article Dr. Samad. You do such a good job of covering issues completely that sometimes I don't feel I have anything to add. Regarding the Palin race war, I come back to the enormous gamble that she and John McCain have taken in going down this route of code words and smear. They run the risk of pissing of moderates in their camp from voting at all of for them. It doesn't sound very smart to risk losing some of what you had to keep what you're already have (racist base). Risky strategy indeed. I don't know who they're taking advice from.

Comment: With all of the racial hate going on in the toothless Joe Sixpack camp, one tends to wonder what the hell are they so fearful of? What exactly do they think Barack Obama is going to do as President. If anything, 'Rak has proven in the past year plus of campaigning is that he's not too much different than most other politicians. I'm scratching my head on this one.

Comment: Exmun-- I cosign on your last post! I'm not sure what exactly the "toothless Joe Six Pack types" fear from Obama presidency. If anytning, any changes Obama brings about would help them as well as the rest you the country. You're right, last I checked Senator Obama is just another politician who's seeking the White House. I don't get it!

Comment: excellent article! EXUM> what's not 2 get? racism is rooted n ignorance and renders 1 mentally incable of rational thinking. of course BO n the yt house would benefit stupid crackas, but if ur so blinded by hate u can't c this. and that's what individuals like mcshame and palin feed off of.

Comment: You, Mr. Samad, are on-point. I especially liked this clarification: "cultural identity politics, or whiteness politics without saying the word “white,” " I wish someone in the msm would pick up on that (but I won't be holding my breath, lol). This article, though, needs to be sent in mass to the msm. I have no idea why you're not working for the NY or WashPost or whomever. People need to see these words, esp White people, this is the mirror they need to see how foolish all this is. You are soo right about how ASINIE it is to want an average or below-average "Joe-Sixpack" running the free world! lol How STUPID is that??? I just can't say enough about this article. Re HarrisThomas' point. I agree, why the msm has not sounded the alarm on Palin's AIP ties is dumbfounding (not really), but it is appallingly unfair. RFKJr wrote a great article about it though on Huffington: tthishttp://www.huffingtonpost.com/robert-f-kennedy-jr /alaskan-independence-part_b_133261.html

Comment: Very good article...Dr. Samad. As someone else wrote earlier, racism is too firmly entrenched in this country for far too many white folks who have nothing left except their whiteness and false sense of racial superiority to vote for a black person whose policies will benefit them as well. I don't know why some folks are waiting for MSM to report on certain 'shaddy' things about McCain or Palin. MSM prefers to focus its lens on trivial sensationalist crap. Most of what comes out of MSM can barely pass as journalism these days and can best be classified as infotainment instead of real news.

Comment: Excellent piece. All I can hope is the only color people see now is green. As in their cash that no longer holds value and decide to vote for Obama. Just give the man 4 years to prove himself.

Comment: Great article. And I know "code" speak when I hear it, too. Palin is racist to the core, and while I don't think McCain is as bad as she is, he is allowing himself to be perceived that way. These rednecks better wake up. Obama is going to be the president of the United States of America and they need to wrap their little pea brains around the reality of it.
