Comment: Welcome back Deya. I used to love your columns back in the day then u kinda......um.......left. Anyway good to have ya back. Domestic abuse is a very serious issue and I'm glad u brought up, cos I don't think folks realise how rife it is. Unfortunately I have relatives who have been in this situation. Matter of fact just last year I confronted a cousin who beat his woman, his response was 'she's a woman, she should know her place in society and not question me'. (note this dude is in his 20's). All she asked was 'when u gonna start taking care of your daughter' and she got beatdown. (sigh).
