Comment: Hey Mo!!! Great piece... so informative, and it's funny... i'm a registered independent, but i usually do vote democratic. i like what he had to say, and it's nice to know there are people working behind the scenes who are trying to push the 'black agenda'.

Comment: Thank you CreneeJ. Sean and I talk almost daily about this and that and he's one of the brightest young minds out there in terms of the political circle. He and I disagree routinely but talk about how we as Black folk must mature as a group in a political sense so we can get to the point of being able to disagree without being disagreeable with one another.
He's not someone only going regurgitate Republican talking points he has a deep and real love for Black people and is conscious of always having his political beliefs align with his personal ones.
That's important and a telling fact.

Comment: I wish I could have listened without the feeling he had to much republican kool-aid. As a thinking adult I cant see how anyone could want to leave the hands of the free world to Sarah Palin. The thought to me is frightening in ways I never imagined. Also a very thoughtful rebuttle on your part regarding mutual respect for a fellow senator when McCain called Obama "That One". I dont think its a black/white thing with his answer as much as a republican groupthink symptom IMHO

Comment: Mo, You might find this site interesting:
http://www.hiphoprepublicans.com
If this is not the direct site direct a search engine to Hip Hop Republicans which should point out this or a similar site.
Unbelievable!.

Comment: >MoKelly - you need to read this article if you haven't already. Here is a guy whose career is based on nepotism who voted against the King holiday, etc. - any black in favor of McCain needs to read this article and then think really hard again...

Comment: Queenie...you're preaching to the choir. If I had more time, we definitely would have strode down McCain memory lane.
But that's the hard part about conducting interviews...touching upon as much as possible and not getting bogged down.
You have to be a generous listener, advance the conversation and also respond to the interviewees comments.
After 20 minutes it was getting too long for me to go back and get some of the other stuff...
But I feel you...

Comment: Can't check out the interview at work -- firewall doesn't allow SOME streaming content. And, like CREENJ...I'm a former registered Democrat now registered Independent, so I'm really interested to hear frank and honest discourse beyond the standard rhetoric on why a BLACK person should be a Republican. Definitely plan to listen when I get home as I like to listen to divergent points of view and truly appreciate folks who stands up for their beliefs even when those beliefs are diametrically different than mine. Appreciate the others for posting various links.
