She married a white man who thought nothing of whaling on her, talking to her any kind of way and once they had kids, he was having sex with one of his daughters - Bunny. Mrs. DeBarge stayed with that man too long for any of her kids to live any kind of successful life and this boy's revolving door to prison is indicative of that.

Comment: Mydchomegirl you're right but until they get a little more respectful with the videos - well let's just say I don't want dark skinned buffy the body reppin me! Besides that Cicely Tyson opened the door for the dark skinned sister and there have always been one or two hanging around the edges. I think we might just need more dark skinned sisters with that aspiration in order to see more. Flava of Love and Charm School don't qualify but there were a rack of dark skinned females there.

Comment: It is truly sad that this older than grown-azz man cannot seem to get it together. However, if jail or prison is to be his new residence, maybe (???) that's where he'll gain his sobriety... although I do realize that drugs are accessible to those who are incarcerated, as well. At any rate, if El does not get a grip on his life, he'll join his late brothers (Bobby and Edmund) who, unfortunately succumbed at an early age. What a talent and what a waste!
