Comment: Right on Judge Mathis! Although I don't think they (certain felons) should have their voting rights stripped even when doing their time I too say as long as they have 'paid' their debt to society voting rights should be restored. I am surprised many Black politicians don't fight to get this throw back, jim crow law excised from the books because it certainly would benefit them in the long run.

Comment: Fine, let ex-cons have their voting rights restored if they have served their time, but felons serving time don't need to vote. They gave up their rights to participate in civilized society when they decided to break the law. If we took a poll, we would find the overwhelming majority of them don't give a rat's as.s about voting.
