She really did influence a lot of people to vote for Obama and that was a good thing!! She just better watch her hands around Michelle cuz sistah girl looks like she don't play and will step to a woman who's trying to put the moves on her man. I don't blame ya girl. I do agree with you though. I do not blame Michelle because you cannot trust nobody . Yall know Oprah think her sh** don't stink now and I am sure that there is nothing more that she would like to go with all of her power and celebrity status than to accomplish beiing the first lady of the United States of America. But actually I think that Oprah is not interested in Obama it is Michelle(SMILE) I do think she might kind of like women more than she like men but anyway.

Why is it that some people always want to say somebody in the industry is gay, wheather it be a singer, actor,TV show host?
People on this site have said maxwell, henry simmons, now oprah is gay, how do you know?

Comment: Wasilla Hillbillies gone WILD!
While publicly supporting Palin, McCain's top advisers privately fumed at what they regarded as her outrageous profligacy. An angry aide characterized the shopping spree as "Wasilla hillbillies looting Neiman Marcus from coast to coast," and said the truth will eventually come out when the Republican Party audits its books. One senior aide said that Nicolle Wallace had told Palin to buy three suits for the convention and hire a stylist. But instead, the vice presidential nominee began buying for herself and her family—clothes and accessories from top stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman
Marcus.
According to two knowledgeable sources, a vast majority of the clothes were bought by a wealthy donor, who was shocked when he got the bill. Palin also used low-level staffers to buy some of the clothes on their credit cards. The McCain campaign found out last week when the aides sought reimbursement. One aide estimated that she spent "tens of thousands" more than the reported $150,000, and that $20,000 to $40,000 went to buy clothes for her husband. http://www.newsweek.com/id/167581

Remember the Clintons were there for a minute and I bet money that old Bill was not chowing down on grilled fish, asparagus tips and cherry pie. The Obamas 'appear' to be healthy and in shape so I doubt that they eat all crazy. On another note..did anyone see Donna Brazile on ABC on election night tell how she lives not too far from the Capital building and how Frederick Douglas also use to live a few blocks away. She went on to say how she oftentimes walk the steps of the Capital thinking about all the slaves that built those steps and the Capital...and that there was already plans to rename the entrance Emancipation Hall and it will be completed by January 20th 2009..Inauguration Day. January 2oth is also the 100th anniversary of the NAACP (Roland Martin told that tidbit on CNN on election night while in tears). Just beautiful!

Comment: Now that it is revealed that the McCain camp didn’t know Palin was going to go on that shopping spree, I’m looking at it from another perspective. Here we had a campaign that was in desperate need of cash for ads, trying to keep up with the Obama money juggernaut, and these Hillbillies went and splurged thousands of dollars on a needless items. You had McCain pulling out of states because he couldn’t afford it, and these Hillbillies…. Sheet, I don’t see any future for Palin as a Republican candidate. But she can always go independent. Comment: What to do with Joe “the traitor” Lieberman? …. Joe Lieberman will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to discuss Lieberman’s future with the Democratic caucus. At stake is Lieberman’s chairmanship of the Senate Homeland Security …. Reid could also ask Lieberman to leave the Democratic caucus altogether …Lieberman’s support of McCain – and harshly critical words of President-elect Barack Obama during the campaign — angered many Senate Democrats but Reid was reluctant to act against the Connecticut senator earlier because Democratic control of the Senate relied on Lieberman’s decision to organize with the Democrats. …The thing is this, If the Dems were not able to get the 60, then a 59 with Lieberman, and they would still have a filibuster proof majority. But now it seems that they can only win 57 senate seats, so Lieberman’s presence won’t help them in that department. So what you all think, give him the boot?

It was the campaign folks who wanted to give her a "makeover". She wasn't in charge of the books..didn't have the checkbooks..credit cards. I bet Mccain's people are saying "if he didn't make it to the white House, we will be damned if SHE does". If in fact she did make demands and got what she wanted, they must not realize how it makes THEM look letting someone come in and start spending the funds.

Obama has been a member, he has not reached across party lines to accomplish anything significant, nor has he been willing to take on powerful interest groups in the Democratic Party to get something done." That's just one of many Lieberman quotes against Obama. I don't necessarily have a problem with voting his choice. If he didn't believe in Obama then set back and STFU and vote McCain. But to actively go out and campaign for him is another thing. Even Powell, who is no longer in office, knew where to draw the line in his support. Now he's being considered for a Cabinet Post and Lieberman is being considered for the boot. Thankfully for Lieberman Obama is a forgiving man and if he can find some use for him he will.

Comment: Oprah's enthusiasm was infectious on yesterday. I respected that she did not use her show as a political platform. Because of this, when Palin's people contacted Oprah and tried to swing a seat on the famous couch for Sarah Palin, Oprah was able to say "Hell Naw!" She is one of the most powerful and influential people (regardless of race or sex) in this country and yet she was one of the first to endorse President Elect Obama (and I am sure she gave him a blank check) publicly. Many many prominent and influential African Americans chose not to do so. For instance. . .Bill Cosby. Prior to Barack Obama running for president, Bill Cosby was everywhere running his mouth. But curiously, we have not heard from Bill Cosby concerning Barack Obama. There was never any endorsement (to my knowledge) nor support. I think that it is telling that Bill Cosby can go national talking about how inarticulate Black Youth are and what a failure Black parents are, yet when presented with an articulate Black Man and his beautiful family, not a word from Mr. Cosby. Is anyone else aware of any endorsements or statements from Mr. Cosby for President Elect Obama? I may have missed something.

But she did an interview on that night, which she said that she never thought she would see it in her lift time. I remember when Hillary threw her hat in the ring, I thought to myself I'm going to vote for Hillary. But then, Barack threw his hat in the ring and my brain was like eeeerk back up.
