Comment: The fact that he was a dead-beat dad aside, I wonder how long it would of taken to get an Rx. I've never been arrested, jailed or cited for an infraction but, I didn't know that part of your into is asking which meds you take.

Comment: Still so incredibly hard to believe Sean and Gerald are gone. I just wonder would someone on medication for high blood pressure or diabetes also have to wait to be seen by a prison physician. It's quite unfair that a medication(s) for a psychological condition is withheld. Bottom line is if it was prescribed by a licensed physician it should have been given to him. If this lawsuit will help the facility to change their procedures about dispensing medication to new inmates then I wish them well.

Comment: >RSmi - yes, it is hard to believe that both of the Levert brothers are gone - i'm from cleveland and met both Gerald and Sean one year I was home visiting for the holiday's at a studio back in the 90's. RIP, Levert brothers. Stuff like this makes you sit down and think, and, i can only imagine how Eddie is taking his private time and looking at his family.

Comment: I felt there was more to this story than what was initially being told. The sad thing about all of this is that, no matter how much the Levert family may be compensated from a wrongful death lawsuit, it will not erase the fact that the early loss of their loved one could have been avoided. It would seem that, on the day Sean was detained, a simple phone call could have been made to his physician to verify his specific need for any medication that had been legally prescribed. Common sense should have indicated that to disrupt a prescribed dosage of such a powerful medication as Xanax, for the nine days it would have taken before Sean could seen the jail's physician, could have been detrimental to his well-being. Many medications cannot be abruptly discontinued without causing some adverse effects; including death... which is why many people have to be gradually weaned off their medications. This is just a sad story, no matter from what angle you look at it, and I just pray that the Levert family will find some semblance of justice for such a senseless loss.

Comment: My opinion, I think those in charge was trying to make it look like they we're not going to show favortism just because it was Sean Levert. They did not care about his medical condition, they we're just being arrogant a$$holes and it backfired on them.
