Comment: I actually disagree with you somewhat. I definitely believe in smart shopping, but the cheapest choice isn't always the smart choice. Who sales the item, who do they employ, how does the money flow are all important considerations. Americans act as though our spending habits have no impact, but then we turn around and complain about out sourcing. However, we can't always have the cheapist price and good paying jobs at the same time. As for gas prices, personally I think it should stay around $2 a gallon, if not people will forgot and go right back to the same old driving habits and in ten years we will be right back where we are without any longterm energy program.
