Her name was sure nuff referenced over and over again back in the day. Her tapes were called legendary. Believe it or not, I never saw her work until Soul Men! LOL! I was not even sure that was her but then I said that must be her. LOL! Yo, in all honesty, I was surprised they showed that much of her in this movie in that scene with Bernie. SOUL MEN reminded me of some of the the comedys and blaxploitation movies they used to make in the 70s. At times it also reminded me of Blues Brothers.

The ending where they put in Bernie talkin and showed him rehearsing and warming up the audience while they filmed this was good too. The scene with Del Rio and him in the bed I thought they geared towards Bernie and Sam Jackson's age group and up. It was funny but just ....let's just say all the old men will prob crack up at that. LOL.
