Comment: Sony/ATV Music Publishing LLC is one of the world's largest music publishing companies. The company was formed by the 1995 merger of the Sony Corporation of America's music publishing business with ATV Music, which Michael Jackson had purchased in 1985 for $47.5 million from Australian businessman Robert Holmes à Court. Given that Jackson's ATV Music was more valuable %*$et, he was awarded with $110 million alongside with receiving 50% of shares in the merged company. Also, Jackson kept as his sole property Mijac Music Publishing catalogue, which owns all of artist's composed music, as well as of many other acts. In May 2007, Sony/ATV acquired the Famous Music publishing company from Viacom's Paramount Pictures for $400 million. The Famous Music catalogue includes 125,000 songs. The company is co-owned by Sony and trusts formed by Michael Jackson and is worth between 1 and 8 billion dollars.

Comment: @eddie, with all that's he's worth, why don't he just pay the 7 million? He knows damn well, this kid is not lying! I remember when he first went overseas and stayed with the kid's family and so on! Michael's advisor's ie...minus Jermaine, better get his stupid A$$ on board of what is really important here. He can really not afford to mess with these Arabs! If he is the businessman he is written about. Child Molestation is one thing. Messing with People in 3rd World Countries is another!

Comment: Okay, even I'm losing patience with this boy! Either MiJac is sick unto death or he's the biggest girl west of the mason dixon! If he's gonna keep not paying bills and not living up to his obligations he better get used to standing before the judge. At this point I'm thinking MiJac thinks he doesn't have to answer for anything - he's gonna feel real stupid in them cali pajamas sittin' up in a federal penitentary!

Never the less, of all sports of people to mess over! Michael, could really get his due messing with the Sheiks, Emir's, etc! It's not like the individuals that he has messed with over the years! These people mean serious business! Taking him to Court was just a means to try and do the right thing first. If this doesn't work.... Off with his Head!

Comment: I would like eddie to explain how Michael can be worth 'billions' but has a hard time paying folks back just mere millions that he owes them. It seems rather costly to me to keep taking money from other people, not paying them back, and ending up in court. Wouldn't it just make more sense to spend his own 'billions' than go through this headache?! I think Michael's fans need to realize that he is not worth 'billions' of dollars but seems to spend his days 'robbing' peter to pay paul in order to keep his lavish lifestyle.

Comment: I can remember a few years ago, he was being sued by a Antiques store! This fool had purchased everything he could get his hands on and never paid the Guy! This quietly went to court and it was never mentioned again. What really should bother him is the courts in London and not like the ones here in the US... The Majority of whatever Michael is holding (share wise) is based out of the UK. Seems to me, there is a lien coming sooner than the one gloved wonder thinks! This is exactly why the Bahrain Wonder Child is sueing him the UK.... His Family is not trying to hear the crap!

Comment: Michael may not be broke by everyday folk standards but he's damn sure broke. What a waste. He had all of the wealth and fame most folks can only dream about and he just threw it away. Instead of maintaining the legacy of pop icon he's becoming the world's biggest loser. I hope he can get it together.

Comment: Gurlfrand I think all that he's done - that whole body chemical peel and all the surgeries coupled with the fact that none of them were stable to begin with and I'm quite sure that things over the last 10-15 years have not turned out even close to what he wanted- you might just be on to something. Of course it's time for peter pan to put on his big boy drawers and pay the piper cause he damn sure danced to his music! Grace Jermaine has more than introducing MiJac to the towelhead to worry about - he's got debt in and out of court his damnself - plus that grease bill must be killin' his greasy as.s!lol

Comment: If you get a chance, read the book "M.J.: The Man Behind the Mask," by his late publicist, Bob Jones, who passed away in September of a heart attack. Jones made many detailed revelations about MJ, such as: his intense dislike for his family and his reasons for not wanting to see them succeed. He even talked about his outlandish behavior, "over-the-top" antics and idiosyncracies; how he had repeated warned MJ about the young boys and was told to "mind his own business," and he also discussed, at length,...(that whenever Michael did not want to attend a particiular event, including his concerts, he would fake an illness or injury and tell Jones to make up an excuse for the media. One such incident he cited was the time Michael was on crutches and cancelled some performances. Jones insisted that there was absolutely nothing wrong with "The King of Pop" and that Michael preferred to remain at home and entertain the young boys who were staying at his Neverland Ranch. It's a MUST-READ and, although Bob Jones was abruptly and "unexpectedly" let go, after being Mike's publicist for 30-some years, I knew Bob Jones for years and knew him to be extremely credible. READ IT! The King of Pop is a real piece of work!!!
