Comment: NEVER! He tries to hard and comes off cheesey. He mistakes wearing fancy threads and having expensive toys as being Bondesque. Bond could roll off a mountain, dirty and still be suave and cool. Bond is cool WITHOUT trying. Puffy does not have this. His voice is all wrong. Now first black Bond could be: Denzel (still looks good for 52), Larry Fishburne (so cool, he has the right attitude), or Idris Elba (cool, sexy and has the British accent). Akon and Jamie Foxx are all wrong.

Comment: I am a HUGE Diddy fan (since he had the twins, Jessie and D'Lila), and I am NOT a James Bond fan AT ALL. My problem with this is that I would rather see black people do something ORIGINAL for a change. Why do we need a BLACK James Bond at all?! Why can't we create our OWN secret agent and roll with THAT?

Comment: 007 is a British agent. All of the actors who have portrayed him have been British. I would expect that they will keep to this tradition. Now there a few black Britons who may be suited for such a role - maybe Idris Elba?

Comment: Is this ni@@a crazy!!! I will kill the Bond producers and everyone at Sony before I see Sean Combs in the role of James Bond! Why doesn't he just do what he did with everything else he's done- copy it and do it for himself!!! It worked for music (severe sampling and calling it "production"), cable television (Bad Boys of Comedy was a Def Comedy Jam knock-off and even used the same network, HBO), & clothing and fragrances (I'm starting to think Puffy wants to BE Russell Simmons). I've even got a spec script already in place for him. Diddy, get at me!!!

Comment: bigchassie - LOL. No way was i recommending Diddy. But Denzel is not too old. Sean Connery was in his 50's playing Bond and Denzel look a heck of a lot better than him. Ditto Larry Fishburne. Just thought about: what about Damon Jhitusu (played in Beauty Shop with Latifah)? Will Smith COULD NOT PULL IT OFF. Now IDris Alba is the best choice. BUt I agree with Grace 12_34 let's come up with something original. How about a black spy from South Africa?
