Comment: BET turned lousy under his leadership (and continues to be even worse under the Jewish rulership of Sumner [Rothstein] Redstone), but Johnson is definitely feeling what he gave up. If you have media power - DO NOT GIVE IT UP, just to be a billionaire. He had substantial power to influence when he owned BET, now he's trying so hard to get back in. But he now sees the difficulties of that. He's been trying HARD to get back in for years -- no luck yet. Ebony/Jet and Black Enterprise know what's up!

Comment: Mr.Johnson should have kept BET.Now he wants back in because he sees the vision he had will never take place.I've not watched Bet for some time,until yesterday(Sunday)when they had an all-day marathon of The Steve Harvey Show.And after last nites 2nd installment of the new series"Unsung" on Phyliss Hyman.My loyalties lie with TVOne.Peace and Blessings!

Comment: I applaud the cable networks for showing his new network the exit door. BET needs to be pulled off the netwrok period. It does far way more harm than it does any good. I encourage every parent to block it or have it snatched off their cable plan.

Comment: Just what tv needs is another shitty black channel. Let's give ole Bob his props for doing well off of BET, but the fact is that network under his watch did very little to promote a good balance of programming that displayed black intelligence and art. Keeping ni**ga %*$es bouncing to rap and knees bending in prayer while never informing them about things that will enhance their lives over-all like news programs, talk-shows, etc. did nothing but make ole Bob rich and black folk more ignorant!

Comment: >bigchassie,I saw the new series"Unsung" on TVOne.Last nites episode on Phyliss Hyman was fabulous.It brought tears to my eyes,just seeing her in a video and hearing her give Interviews.It just reminded me of how much I miss her and her music.But TVOne was right on point with the segment,Including interviews with her staff and family and friends. Thanksgiving evening they did a segment on the "DeBarge" family,that was great as well.Tonite at 10pm they will do a segment on The Clark Sisters.I know TVOne stations vary,so you will have to contact your cable provider if you don't already know what channel it comes on.Enjoy!Peace and Blesings!
