Comment: Semantics - an eviction notice was served last month, this month you're out of the house...you can call it what you want.

Comment: What difference does it make? NeNe seems too stuck on Greg's money and it's trappings - otherwise she wouldn't be so caught up in the 'details'. If her life is that good she doesn't have to explain that - people know it by you living it and not trying to stretch the first 15 minutes to damn death!

Comment: Well, she is right she wasn't evicted. They were notified that they would be evicted, so they left before it occurred.

Comment: lol Sweetpea, that response so sounds like something she would say, like that side-step she did on the Reunion Show when the guy asked her if she "used to be a stripper." Her response: "I still am a stripper for my husband," *laughter ensues* I think she might have a job in politics down the line, lol, with all her clever mini-admissions. Hmmm

Comment: lol @ jazzfan & sweetpea. That's what I say: she left BEFORE the Sherif came. But um, if you know he end of the lease is approaching and you want to move, don't you start your search before the lease is up and move before the eviction notices come? I hope she's not offended. She knows she's a celebrity and knows what the media does to celebrities these days.

Comment: >realuv - a celebrity? Huh? Aren't you stretching it a bit to call her that? If she walked down the street in LA, NYC, DC, Miama or Chicago (major cities) would anybody recognize this stripper? Even in Atlanta I'm not sure people would know who the ham sandwich she is. I'm sayin'...

Comment: No Queenibunz, down here "Housewives" was the talk of the town over the past few weeks, everybody knows about "NeNe and them," lol. Atl Housewives grossed more viewers than all the other cities' versions. Add the fact that the AJC put her on blast with this story on the front page, and you have a bonafide "celebrity." Reject yes, superstar no, but a celebrity nontheless. lol

Comment: " 'I am truly blessed to enjoy a wonderful life and lifestyle,' NeNe said in a statement released Wednesday....AJC reported that NeNe and her husband, real estate investor Gregory Leakes, left...a month after an eviction notice was filed ... Gregory was said to have been behind $6,240 in rent." They were renting a house? As cheap as houses are in Atlanta. I was thinking of retiring there in 20 years (if they can get the traffic problems under control). That way I could sell my house here and get a smaller one there (won't need as much room as an old man) for a much, much smaller price. Anyway, I guess Nene can always get her old job back at the skrip club.

Comment: oh Nene, STFU!!!! Just because you weren't physically removed from the home doesn't mean you left under your own will. Just admit y'all couldn't pay the rent and the landlord wasn't trying to foot your lavish lifestyle for free. Times are hard and people will understand.

Comment: Her husband is a real estate broker right? So it's not hard to believe that he hasn't been bringing in as much money as he may have in the past due to our economy. It's ok Nene...a lot of people had to downsize...the good thing is you got out before they set your stuff out on the curb, now that would have been embarrassing!

Comment: Naw, Nene was ready to leave that house for whatever reason. They could have held off the eviction by fighting (or defending) an eviction case in court at least two to three months. She woulda got paid from the show by that time. Nene and Greg didn't want that house. They probably got a better deal considering the real estate market. But it does sound like they were living above their means.

Comment: wow. her family is in my prayers. times are rough and if she did have to downsize, it's a-ok. sheeeeit, a lot of folk are making changes. I guess her intro into the show says, "I don't keep up with the Jones', we Are the Jones' or something like that...so maybe there's that pressure?? (shrugging shoulders)

Comment: In Nene's defense, technically being "evicted" means that the legal process followed its complete course and resulted in a jugment of eviction (or whatever a particular states calls it). So technically, she's correct if an action for possession of the home was filed by the landlord and they left before a judgment to evict was issued. Can't hate the playa for such smooth sidestepping of questions. But WTH is Nene and her husband doing 'renting' a house now? On the show, she and Greg are riding in a Range Rover, buying their son a souped up truck all tricked out, buying said high school graduate son a tailor-made suit costing in the thousands. If you're spending THAT kind of money on disposeable items, should you have a damn house that you own? Damn!

Comment: NeNe is not a celebrity, I don't care if this season was the highest rated season of all time. A celebrity is someone you recognize whether you've seen their movies or tv shows or not. Papparazi follow celebrities around. She's an Atlanta "celebrity" at best. I know good and hell well if she walked the streets of DC notta one person would bat an eye!

Comment: All I've got to say is....I recall an episode where she had a suite tailor made for her " Patrick Ewing looking" son which cost about $6300. That's what's wrong with folk always trying to live above their damn means...why brag on national TV about dropping 6K on a damn suite for graduating from high school one month and get put outa your house the next because you shoulda paid the rent (not mortgage at that). All I got was an "atta-girl" when I finished high school, undergrad, grad and med school. No damn $6,000 suite. Just an "atta-girl" and that was fine. Flossers...not ballers---flossers. Damn!

Comment: Dang the media has something on all these houswives except DeShawn. Deshawn appears to be the only one who comes off looking well. Except for that unwarranted criticism she was getting for being able to afford maids and cooks(which is a sad when you think about it..who amongst us wouldn't love to have someone cook and clean for us).

Comment: The Ford F-150 truck was not new. It was a used model for Brice. Ford F150 do not hold good resale value so they likely paid $10K for it that if that part of the show wasn't a front just like ALL of Kim is.

Comment: >Becuz - Thank you! I can see her [non-celebrity azz] strutting down the street in DC and then going into a store or whatever and having an issue with a salesperson. "Do you know who I am?!?" and the professional salesperson, with a look of bewilderment on his/her face, "Uh, no. But we still don't carry that in your size. Can I help you find something else?..." and her feeling like the (broke) non-celebrity that she is. I saw a tie display of Kwame from The Apprentice the other day in Nordstroms and I was like "Kwame who?" until I read the fine print and it said he was from the show. Some people parlay an appearance on a reality program into stardom but most don't. Even the ones who do fade quickly. Her 15 minutes is almost up. Watch. Y'all gonna be like "NeNe who?" in 2 years, maybe 1 if the show doesn't continue.

Comment: I like NeNe because she keeps things real, says what is on her mind, and if she embelishes her lifestyle (like everyone else on TV)that's ok. At the end of the day, she and her family know the real deal; and as long as she is "hustling" to make things better, more power to her. EVICTION means through hard times, it's hard to keep a roof over one's head, but there is always another roof. Bless her heart!! You go NeNe!!

Comment: Receiving an eviction notice because you're over $6,000 in arrears in rent and moving out shortly after receiving said eviction notice does not constitute "moving out on your own free will." I live in Georgia, and I've seen the contents of peoples' homes placed on the streets by the sheriff's office in a mad hurry! Come back two hours later and you'll see how the buzzards have picked over and taken what they want (need). I've seen people leave and return with a truck to haul off the spoils. Just a hot, ghetto mess, trying to live way, way, way above their means to impress the Joneses'. There are some shallow kneegrows living up here in Georgia.
