Comment: Good morning all. Have a blessed and safe weekend. I posted this late last night:
SB: Li'l bro, I am writing with so much pain full in my heart thinking about your situation. I am sorry you are going through this unfortunate situation with a female who is seemingly being vindictive. I applaud you for doing everything positive that you do and will continue to do. Your goodness will never go unnoticed and all the bullshyt she is putting you through will only last but so long until karma kicks her right in the %*$. Continue to volunteer at the B&G, continue developing your scholarship for your community and most importantly, and I know you will do this, continue showing love to your son despite what the babymamma may try to do to thwart your relationship with him. Keep your head up!! You are 22 years old. I had my son at age 18, when i was a sophomore in college and nobody could keep me from him. I applaud you also for telling the judge that you were not going to be your son's weekend babysitter. You exemplify the real men who are trying to be there for his child. If you need anything or just want to vent, hit me up at Nyengineer74@yahoo.com.
Sorry, I meant to also say thanks everyone for your prayers. My ex is recuperating now after a successful surgery.

That woman could sing her bullass off. Yall know I am about the most heterosexual woman yall know but that woman was absolutely beautiful. her story broke my heart. i wish we could get over the stigma @ mental health and get the help we need.

Comment: Bentley from The Jeffersons has passed away! The AP reports that Paul Benedict who played Mr. Bentley was found dead by his brother on Martha's Vineyard. He was 70. His brother said his death was still being investigated by authorities. Sadness.
Paul also played The Mad Painter on Sesame Street for a few years in the 70s.

Comment: I bought my niece some Filas last year. She had to have those shoes. When I first saw them I was kinda concerned cos she is super skinny. (A size 0 falls off of her when it's fastened.) I didn't want them to look like boats on her little stick legs. But they looked really good on her. /Nuby - I put in alla my info on the site and at the end I got a timeout. So I called them and the rep said they were updating the site. I hope they don't charge me twice. And I hope the ones I want are still available when I finally get on. I am very picky when it comes to shoes. /DJones - My nephew had a bunch of shoes, too. All the women in my family are shoes freaks so he gets it honestly. My sis (his mom) is really bad, though. Anyway, their house was broken into last week and the mofo's stole ALL his shoes!!! He works at the Reebok Store so he gets a good discount, but still. I was NOT getting anyone anything for Christmas, but I have a coupon for Foot Locker so I'mma let him pick out about three pairs.

So tragic the way her life ended...>dj, I love retro 'tenny shoes'. I think a lotta people are gettin' hip to 'em cuz they run like $80+, right? I just like different stuff, but I'm too cheap to start an entire collection of kicks cuz I don't wear 'em often. I'm a shoe/sandal/boot person. However, I'm fiening for some Uggs. *hint-hint to fam for b-day/Christmas gift* Funny story...I've always been a bargain shopper to heart ever since I've been workin' as a kid so it's always been hard for me to pay mega bucks for stuff. I had no problem wearing the 'knock-off' brand cuz I thought I dressed cute. However, when I was a sophomore, I recall borrowing my cousin's fake Fila's (Mila's) and I wore them to school...the kids CLOWNT me! LOL I ain't give a hell, I wore 'em again! Eff 'em all I said! I'm goofy, I just laughed right along with 'em...

Comment: THIS WILL RAISE ONE FROM THEIR SICKBED! WTF! Clarence Thomas challenges Obama’s citizenship. U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has asked the high court to consider an East Brunswick, N. J., attorney’s lawsuit, challenging whether Barack Obama is really eligible to be president, reports The Afro newspaper. Thomas took the action after Justice David Souter had already rejected a petition for the court to stop the Electoral College from meeting on Dec. 15, which will certify Obama as the 44th president of the United States and its first African-American president, the Black-owned newspaper reports. The court has scheduled a Dec. 5 conference on that action - just 10 days before the Electoral College meets. The high court’s only African American has made the request to his colleagues as a result of an emergency stay request filed by attorney Leo Donofrio, the newspaper said. Donofrio sued New Jersey Secretary of State Nina Wells, contending that Obama was not qualified to be on the state’s presidential ballot because of Donofrio’s own questions about Obama’s status as a natural-born U.S. citizen. Obama was born in Hawaii.

AS8-10 I don't blame little sis...the day before i went into labor, I went to the doctor was 3 centimeters. dilated. I asked dr. should I go home rest/wait. She said no you could be this way for weeks. I thought "OH NO... this baby coming 2morrow!!" I can't take this. His due date is 2morrow. He's coming 2morrow. I went to the cleaners, grocery store, barber, clothes, shopping, cleaned and cooked some chili. Arranged baby clothes, repacked my by maternity bag, ate hubby's snacks out of his overnight bag w/o replacing (he was po'd about that). Everywhere I went, people asked...Ummmm miss, when are you due? (My belly was sitting so low.) 2morrow? One lady said "you should really go home." I thought" I got this" -- 3 am went into labor. Baby boy came on due date (with a c-section to boot). Oh happy day!

But I was also the smart sister who learned from their stupid mistakes. I can only remember getting spankings maybe twice. One was for locking the keys in the car. what was that mess about?!?!? LOL

Comment: Last nite I attended a screening of the new Will Smith/Rosario Dawson movie "Seven Pounds" (Woody Harrelson is in it too). Afterwards, there was a Q&A with both stars, the director, and (I think) the editting guy. Very intense movie and I recommend to anyone interested in seeing it, don't read any spoilers. This is the type of movie where the less you know beforehand, the better, but read about it after you see it because it will help you understand it more completely. The movie does start off a little slow, but about halfway, it really starts to make sense. This was my first time attending a screening with Q&A with the actors afterwards and people were asking some very deep questions. Will looked good and was his usual self and Rosario is gorgeous and has legs for days. And for those that have noticed in Will's past movies, he does have a running scene...lol

Comment: Happy Friday Yall! Don't cha just love Friday's??? Morning joke: A man returns home a day early from a business trip. It's after
midnight.
While en route home he asks the cabbie if he would be a witness.
The man suspects his wife is having an affair and he wants to
catch her in the act.
For $100, the cabbie agrees.
Quietly arriving home, the husband and cabbie tip toe into the
bedroom.
The husband switches on the lights, yanks the blanket back and
there is his wife in bed with another man!
The husband puts a gun to the naked man's head.
The wife shouts, 'Don't do it! I lied when I told you I
inherited money.
HE paid for the Corvette I gave you.
HE paid for our new cabin cruiser.
HE paid for your season Rams tickets.
HE paid for our house at the lake.
HE paid for our country club membership, and
HE even pays the monthly dues!'
Shaking his head from side-to-side, the husband lowers the gun.
He looks over at the cabbie and says, 'What would you do?'
The cabbie replies, 'I'd cover his %*$ with that blanket before
he catches cold.

But I too think that Denny is just yummay though. Its just something about him. Shonda Rimes knows she needs to come up with some better shat. I understand maybe once having sex with Denny's ghost, but every day now? OK, stop the madness. That cardio doctor is crazy as a loon. The last episode she was on she in so many words told Dr. Bailey that she has Aspergers (sp?) syndrome, which is a form of high functioning autism where individuals are typically very very smart, but they lack nonverbal communication skills and shy away from social interactions b/c of unusual behavior. But to me her azz is just crazy.....

As we've previously mentioned, Boy George met Carlsen online and held him prisoner on their second 'date' because the paranoid singer was convinced that the ho was stealing computer files from him.
BG faces up to 15 years in lock up for the crime.
Sentencing is scheduled for January 16th.

The rapper just failed to appear in a court in Arizona to face drug, identity theft, and animal cruelty charges.
So now there's a warrant out for his arrest.
And the cash bond ain't so kind either - a whopping $120,000.
Would have been cheaper to just go to court!
Word on the street is that DMX is in rehab, but that's still no excuse for the no show.
If he doesn't pay the 120k, he's going to jail!

Comment: "NeNe Leakes of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” is speaking out about the reports that she and her family were evicted from their Sugerloaf home. Her statement:
“The recent rumors alleging that my family faced an eviction are a huge misunderstanding and grossly inaccurate. I am truly blessed to enjoy a wonderful life and lifestyle. We have indeed moved to another home, but we did so on our own free will. We live in an absolutely beautiful home and we are fortunate to be able to live in the place of our choice. Unfortunately, there are many families who are facing real foreclosures and real evictions. That is not and never was the case with us. I know where we live and how we live, and for those blessings I am humbly thankful. It is disappointing that many members of the media have chosen to report gossip instead of news. Without wasting time on the details, the only thing I will say is that we were NOT evicted. Everybody knows that I like to be honest, real and upfront. If something was wrong, I would tell you! Thank you for your well wishes. However, please know that my family continues to be abundantly blessed, and that Miss NeNe has not skipped a beat!”
The original source of the article isn’t necessarily a gossip site, and I found it interesting that they had actual quotes from NeNe pretty much confirming the eviction. I would say she needs more people, but my attention span for this matter is dwindling quicker than ever."

And she announced she was looking for a personal assistant and people should send in their resumes if they want to work for her. Doing what? We still don’t know. Especially if she still doesn’t have clothes for her “fashion line”.
Oh, but it gets better. When asked if she would be paying the assistant…she avoided the question and acted like it wasn’t even asked. *blank stare* Then she had the nerve to say she thinks her finding a personal assistant–who has to be available 24 hours/day–would make a good reality show. *double blank stare* The foolishness and people lying to themselves MUST stop by the time ‘09 rolls around."

Comment: "Wondering how Lisa Wu-Hartwell could have possibly had her kids taken from her at one point by her ex-husband Keith Sweat? Well so were we. And we’re told by a source working closely with a Bravo producer of the “Real Housewives” show–that Lisa has allegedly dabbled in cocaine. And that is why Keith has full custody of the kids. Kim’s mean remarks on the show about her being a crackhead did actually come from a private situation. Damn.
UPDATE: Lisa Wu-Hartwell has given TheYBF.com an exclusive statement concerning this matter:
First let me say, thank you for providing a platform for me to address the allegations recently posted on your site. The fact that I ever used drugs was a false claim concocted by my fellow Real Housewives of Atlanta castmate, Kim Zolciak. She was trying to use whatever tactics to keep herself relevant in the public’s eye. It didn’t work, [another site] recently exposed her as a liar. And, the fact that drug use was the reason I lost my children is absurd. I have never and would never use drugs of any kind. Throughout my custody case; no such allegations were ever made. The decision for my ex-husband to have primary custody of our sons was because he agreed to stop touring. And, I was bi-coastal at the time pursuing my acting career. Unfortunately, the court felt he had the most stable home since he was based in Atlanta. Just that simple. I have regular visitation and I see my boys all the time. I am now remarried with an infant son. My new husband and my sons have a wonderful relationship. I recently spoke about this on Essence.com. I take any statements involving my children very seriously. As a mother, it was imperative that I address this and clear the air."

Original estimates put the actor’s net worth in the $75 million to $90 million range, but now it is being reported he may be worth as much as three to four times that amount. According to the Sun-Times:
Among %*$ets contributing to the actor’s bounty are a very valuable gold coin collection, a rare stamp collection, a $7 million home in the Virgin Islands, real estate in Freeman’s native Mississippi worth nearly $30 million (including a $5 million personal home), a $10 million New York apartment and a $15 million Los Angeles estate."

Comment: Good Afternoon Folks! It's been awhile since I've been on. For all my Grey's Fans --------> Warning: Stop reading, Grey's Anatomy fans, if you don't want to know the big secret behind Denny's afterlife love affair with Izzie.
I'm serious. Stop.
Okay then, here we go. Turns out Shonda Rhimes wasn't lying when she told me last month that a brain tumor wasn't what was causing Izzie's case of "I see dead people... and have sex with them!" But she was being sneaky.
Last chance to run, spoilerphobes!
According to multiple sources, Izzie's hallucinations are health-related -- and brain-related. And although the specific name of the ailment is being kept in the safe underneath Rhimes' desk, I'm told it's similar to an aneurysm. And every time it flares up, she sees Denny. And sometimes when it really flares up, she shags him. (A Grey's rep could not be reached for comment.)
But wait, there's more! Izzie's aneurysmish disorder was never intended to be fatal. Plans change, but, per an ABC insider, Rhimes didn't cook up this story in order to grant Katherine Heigl's alleged wish to be let go from the show. Rather, the boss wanted to give her employee the thing she allegedly wanted, the thing that eluded her last season: great, Emmy-worthy material.
And say what you want about the story, Heigl has delivered.
For their part, ABC execs remain divided except for on one point: Everyone acknowledges that the plot is asking the audience to take a huge leap. "It's definitely an unorthodox story, but I trust in Shonda," maintains one suit, who says the press will eviscerate the net no matter what they do. "If we interfere, we get blamed for messing with someone's creative vision. If we don't do anything, we get blamed for the backlash. You really can't win."
Another insider says Alphabet execs are getting antsy waiting for the audience to find out about the underlying medical issue fueling Izzie's spectral romance. So antsy, in fact, that they are applying some light pressure on Rhimes to speed up the reveal. Once you know the reason Izzie is seeing Denny, they figure, you'll be much more willing to go along for the ride.
Well, let's put that theory to the test: Now that you know what's behind Izzie's condition, do you feel better? Worse? Indifferent? Sound off below! (Personally, I can get on board with this story now. I think.)

Comment: Jacque> That's bullshit! They are trying to keep folks interested in that jacked up azz storyline. And Heigl ain't doing any more acting than she has done on the previous seasons, so not sure why she would think this is "emmy worthy" material. If anything she should have won the Emmy during the season where Denny died. she did her best acting during that whole thing. Since then, its been the same shat - a whole bunch of whining about Denny and fukking whichever resident she might be interested in at the time. I still with Lovely - go to another hospital!

He knew those folks he loves to love (yt's) were running and gunning for him and with this stupid bullass scheme, he gave them the excuse they were salivating for since he was acquitted of murdering Ron & Nicole. If he knew those dudes stole his stuff and he knew where they were, he should have gotten the police involved and perhaps (a hugh perhaps I know, but still a perhaps)he would have been assisted in getting his property back. But NOOOOO, he had to do things HIS way - still thinking he is untouchable. Although I think 16 years is a bit much for what occurred, this should be a reality check to let him know that his Black bullass is NOT untouchable. Now he has to worry about which goon is gonna "touch" that bullass up when they lock the doors behind him......

I think as the kids got older and as I've matured a bit more throughout the years, Christmas is just another holiday to me. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a scrooge, I just don't go all outta my way and go broke like I used to years ago. I think people put too much emphasis on that one particular day and that just makes it so depressing for so many people due to the unecessary pressures that people have made the special day into. Nig.ga's iz broke! We're in a recession, yet people are skipping car pmts, mortgage pmts, maxin' out credit cards just for that one day. It's become a bit much and people have lost sight of the REAL meaning of Christmas, which is the celebration of the birth of Christ. Okay, so now that I've gone all 'preachy' on you, you still wanna talk about it??? LOL

I love to give gifts and I love to entertain and say what you will but that is part of MY celebration of Christmas -- I love to make people smile and if spending time with them and giving them gifts is it, then so be it. I'm not hurting for money so I'm going to keep doing what I've been doing. For me, it's not about just 12/25, it's about the entire season of giving and spending time with folks you love and having fun. After my birthday, this is the absolute best time of year for me!!

We're doing okay...but we've been taking care of priorities in the household...We've been doing some updates to the house, plus we have a sr. in high school so we're tryna help her to have a comfy sr. year. She has a job...she's been working at McDonald's for 3 years part-time, but she mostly just keeps that for herself, as well as take care of some of her business (ie. pay for basketball uniform/shoes, etc.) We want her last year of high school to be as stress-free as possible so that means we're shellin' out more cash for her. I don't mean to go into full detail, I just wanna stress that Christmas is just so overly commercialized to me that it's got folks robbin', killin', and stealing all for the sake of getting their kids some toys for that ONE DAY! It's sad...Like my baby sis said, with one of her many conspiracy theories that she has up in her head, if you rearrange the letters of SANTA you'll get SATAN. Children need to know that Christmas is not just all about Santa Claus & presents...it's about the birth of Christ...loving one another, EVERYDAY, not just on Christmas, giving, and helping the less fortunate...Okay, I'm done...I think.

I think about when I was in HS and I got a job at 16. The money was more important to me than education so I started cutting school to get more hours and more money. My mom was going through her recovery at the time so she had to concentrate on her and that gave me more time to do me which was a HUGE mistake. Come 2 days before Christmas, like clockwork, I'm out there buying lil' trinkets for damn near err'body that I know cuz I'm a giver and I don't expect anything in return. Me/hubby & the kids are watching Fat Alberts Christmas/Charlie Brown Christmas, we're baking cookies, the whole nine! My point was basically that *I* ain't one of those "early Christmas shoppers in July". Hubby & I just give the kids 'bout $200 a-piece and take 'em to the mall now. That's all they want is money anyway. Then we may get them a few personal gifts. My niece gets a few things...I don't break the bank for her or anyone else that I'm buying for. Hubby & I don't always exchange gifts, but sometimes we do. And when we do, it's something small cuz we both know our financial situation so it ain't no thang...I shop at the LAST minute every year. And honestly up until about 7/8 years ago, I *WAS* one of those people that I'm talking about (maxin' out credit cards, going broke, skipping bills) all for the sake of making sure that my kids got what they wanted on Christmas. But like I said ^, my maturity, my awareness of money, my kids maturity has allowed me to open my eyes more now to be more responsible when it comes to financial matters. I'm not downing ANYONE...I'm not placing myself on a pedestal...I'm not tryna steal anyone's Christmas joy away...I just have a different perspective on it now, that's all.

Aint nothing worse than having the girls resting on your stomach. You can find Wacoal at Dillards, Macy's, online, etc. The cups on Wacoals are heat molded to actually adhere closed to the shape of real breasts. You can definitely tell the difference between Wacoal and the others. Having worked in lingerie for 4 years, it is definitely wise to invest in your breasts now with good bras, so that they dont hang like udders as we age.

Comment: Okay, I'm mad crazy late here but I finally read everything so I'm caught up. First of all, 12, I feel you. My mom used to go broke every Christmas trying to make her "bottomless pit" kids (me and my 2 brothers) happy. It stressed her out and since she vented to me, it stressed me out, too. I wanted the toys, as a child does, but I hated to hear how stressed she was. Then, when I was 16, my mom said "F*ck it. I'm not going broke again this year. It's gonna be a ghost town under the tree this year. Deal with it." (Well, she didn't say that exactly. I'm paraphrasing, but I digress...) So that year we got board games and we played all day and had a ball and then we had Christmas dinner and watched Christmas shows on TV and it was the best Christmas I remember from my entire childhood. I say all of that to say - I feel you. Me and my brothers don't exchange gifts. I barely get anything at all and it doesn't bother me a bit. I get my joy buying my nieces/nephews presents and watching them open them. And, I go to church Christmas morning because that's what my church does and it is great to be reminded on the day what the day is really about. So, perhaps you will get into it a little. I find myself tuning out the sales/commercials/hoopla and focusing on people. I do my Christmas cards and instead of just writing my name, I write in each one how important the person is in my life. And for me, that's what Christmas is about.

And was Edwin her brother or husband? /asize - I didn't do anything special done to my hair. I'm letting the perm grow out and getting it pressed. This definitely requires patience! I don't have a wig, I used that term for years when referring to hair. /lilmocc - And OJ is the black man white folks love to hate! /It's still interesting to me that NeNe and Gregg would not buy a house outright. The previous articles said the former house was supposed to be a lease-purchase through Gregg's company. Why leave your family's shelter tied up in your business, especially when real estate is suffering right now?

And I think that a lot of me & my hubby's mindset for Christmas was #1, me & my siblings were SPOILED ROTTEN and got everything that we wanted...and hubby & his siblings NEVER got presents. So, the years of us tryna overcompensate used to put us into some serious debt problems...We would ALWAYS overspend, every year. But, today is a new day...I love what you guys did that Christmas and I ain't mad at your momma one bit! See how meaningful that Christmas was to you? It was loving and a lot more memorable then some damn toy or gadget that you're only gonna play with for a day or two! I remember about 7 years ago, I BROKE MY NECK to get my son that stupid Spider-Man web thingy and I drove all over St. Louis to find the Sasha Bratz doll head for my daughter...My son broke the damn thing the same day and my daughter cut, permed, and colored the dolls hair (w/ cherry koolaid) and then she never played with the damn thing again! LOL Now, on Christmas Eve, we get together as a family, watch Christmas movies, bake cookies, drink hot chocolate and it's the sweetest memories for us...That's what I look forward to:-) And the Christmas card thing is beautiful...keep doing that because it's so meaningful...

Comment: I agree with asize and rayne about the commercialization of Christmas. Even before I was a Christian my family didn't go overboard. As kids my cousins and I got plenty of toys and games, and we played with them all year. I went off on my cousin a few weeks ago. She was whining about not having money to get her son Christmas presents. I told her "You aren't a Christian, you don't go to church, you don't read the Bible, so why are you breaking your neck to buy things for Christ's birthday? That isn't what Christmas is about. Your son is 13 and should understand that you are a single parent and his father contributes nothing (he's thousands behind on child support). He should be grateful that you keep a roof over his head, clothes on his back, food in his big belly, and all the extras. He has video games, a laptop, cell phone, Rush Card and all kinds of stuff you've given him. You need to teach him about Christ, the reason for the season." I didn't yell at her or come off judgmental, but I've had enough of this every year. Her behind will be broke on Dec. 26th, whining until she gets her Rapid Refund in February, flush until March, then whining again until next Christmas. I've decided that I'm going to stop listening to this foolywang year after year. I pray for her and my other unsaved, foolywangish cousins to get a clue and make some positive changes in their lives.

It bothered me - it really bothered me. It may seem strange but it bothered me because I'm "mixed/biracial" too and I think that it's obnoxious to advertise it like that. I think I'd have the same problem with "LITEQT" too. I think it's divisive. Does that make sense? Am I making too much of it?...probably. LOL

Comment: Lovely in Mr KC's case this son is not through blood. He is the step father. His wife died suddenly of an anuersym about 3 to 4 years ago and he adopted the boy. His wife's side of the family has basically abandoned the boy and I think this has a lot to do with it.

Comment: Shortey this is all out of concern. I have been slowly telling him things and suggesting things. Part of the problem is the boy is diagnosed ADD or ADHD and I think this medicine effects his behavior as well. Also coming from a household where obedience and good grades were demanded and actual consideration of the consequence of actions was encouraged it is hard for me to deal with this boy. He is sweet but I cant deal with him on a parental level.

Comment: What I enjoy most about the Christmas season is that a Savior was born for the purpose of bringing me salvation. Next, I enjoy the love and fellowship that is shared amongst family and friends. I don't think anyone should be alone during Christmas time. I started having my Christmas Eve party because I was so lonely and bored one year, and I felt sad being by myself. Now I have single and no-kids-to-play-Santa-for friends over to have a good time with one another. If you have money, like Lovely, and aren't going to miss paying bills or run up credit cards it's cool to buy presents. What's important is to not feel bad or unusual because you aren't able to buy presents.

I'm tryna prepare PD for the 'culture-shock' of being broke on campus cuz she won't be working her freshman year and will be put on an allowance/budget. She thinks I'm playing with her, but I'm SO not! The other day while we were in Wally World, she just kept putting unecessary stuff in the cart and everytime she did that I'd say "Okay, whatchu need that for? Put it back, you don't need it". I'on care if it WAS her money, she just likes to pick up ish. And I kept telling her that she'd better get ready to be on a serious budget cuz her divalicious days of shopping & buying stuff everytime she gets paid will be OVER! I have to MAKE her save money outta her check or she'd blow the whole check. *SMH* For instance...her checks be about $200 bi-weekly...I MAKE her save at least $50 to $75 of that cuz she'll be the 1st one w/ her hand out talkin' 'bout "Daddy, I need some money". Or robbing his lil' change stash that he keeps in his closet. But my son...I swear, he's my hero. My baby can hold on to some money! He ain't NEVA broke! He's got 'bout $75 in his bank now! PD borrows money from him and he be on her like white on rice to get his lil' change back! That's my baby!

Comment: That thing about the psycho kid has me dying! My dad was arguing with his wife. (Notice I did not say "my stepmother" - I'm too d*mned old for a "stepmother" cuz he got her 4 years ago and I'm grown and don't spend every other weekend and 2 weeks in the summer with them so she's really just "his wife", but anyway)...He told her that he thought her sons were "f-----s" because they don't have girls around. She didn't receive that well and now their marriage is in tatters, particularly because she puts her sons before him and treats them like they're little boys and not young men in their 20s. So anyway, I don't think it will go over well. There's an episode of Sex and the City where Miranda gets thrown under a bus by a dad because his kid got accidentally hurt busting in on her in the bathroom when she shut the door in his face. All of a sudden the kid was central and Miranda was asked to leave. So, good luck with that. Do take it seriously, though and watch your own back around the lil nutball. I don't envy you.

All I'm saying is that it left a bad taste in my mouth. That's all. If you think even taking the time to mention it is overreacting, then okay, I'll own that but you have to consider that I overanalyze everything. A good friend told me I'm a "360 Thinker" meaning I think myself in circles. But I do agree that the stuff people put on their cars/plates can be laughable and obnoxious. Any compliment you give yourself - I think others should tell you that you're sexy/pretty/whatever. The funniest plate I ever saw was "HOOPTY" on a hoopty. I was on North Capital St on my way to church and I actually pulled up to her and told her it made my day. It was just so perfect. LOL

I like him but I really dont think I can deal with that kid or be responsible for him for the next some odd years. He is so under developed. He will be 13 in January and he is in the 6th grade. I said to his father yesterday can you believe in 5 years he will be considered a legal adult. He will be 19 when he graduates from HS. He does okay in school academically but doing his homework is an all night affair and basically his father has homework to because he has to stay on him constantly. I just dont know if I am willing to deal with this on a long term basis. He said he wants me to be his guardian if something happens to him, I think I am going to have to decline or ask if he would be okay with me sending him to military school if that ever happens.

Comment: As I've grown in my spiritual life I've reflected over the Easter and Christmas traditions and antics that occurred in my family, although my cousins and I weren't raised in church and did not understand the reason for these holidays. Folks were running all over town to get Easter outfits and a press and curl to make the semi-annual visit to church. I agree with Lovely that you can do both. When I have children I want them to enjoy the fun parts like dying eggs, going on Easter egg hunts, believing in Santa, watching Christmas shows like Charlie Brown, and exchanging gifts. But they will also know the real reason for the celebrations. They will participate in community service events all year round, attend Sunday School, collect canned goods, make food baskets, and be in the Easter and Christmas plays.
