It is not the place of the church or others to judge one another, only GOD can do that. None of us are perfect, including ministers,pastors etc we all fall short. Thank God her faith in GOD is strong and with prayer, GOD will lead her to a new church home.

What's it going to show,that a woman who is (49) years old has a relationship with someone she cares for.And I'm sure a healthy sexual relationship as well.Maybe these people in the church have no sex life

want to discuss a ladys personal life,
because they don't care for the relationship.Soon they will be telling

I AGREE AND AT THE SAME TIME I DISAGREE WITH THE CHURCH. First of all most people have a very ignorant position when it comes to religion and down right bad teaching. However there are rules and regulations in the
Bible even with JESUS being as loving and forgiving as HE is. The church is not some place where you go to get your FREAK ON IN THE NAME OF GOD, PERIOD!! God is no different than where you work, if you are caught having sex in the work place or fraternizing some companies will terminate you. Just like we all tripped on Clinton for having relations with that woman, and people are fired for sexual harrassment etc. Now I agree with them from the standpoint that if I read it correctly the pastor said "that she CONTINUES TO have relations with" Now does that mean they are living together, is one of them married and causing a scandal? WE DON'T KNOW! Now it is apparent to me that most of you on here are not pure Bible students because in 1 Corinthians chapter 5 it states that a man was having sex with his fathers wife IN THE CHURCH AND HE REFUSED TO QUIT AND PAUL RECOMMENDED THAT HE BE PUT OUT.... UNTIL UNTIL..HE AGREED TO REPENT AND STOP!!!!

We shouldn't go to His house drunk, or to find someone to smash, or stand outside smoking a blunt ALL IN HIS NAME OR anything of that sort. I know it's not popular but the God that sits high and looks low is still a HOLY God and he requires the people that SAY THAT LIVE FOR HIM TO AT LEAST TRY AND STRIVE FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS. And before ya'll get HAPPY {IT AIN'T GOT NOTHING TO DO WITH JUDGING NOBODY} people of today are so loose and everything goes that we take our folly in the house of the Lord and make ourselves believe that it's okay and it's not.
it's no different in the church than it is at your job. if you are working and they tell you go take a %*$! test and the results are positive they may warn you or suspend you, if they give you a random test AGAIN, AND AGAIN AND YOU'RE POSITIVE.... THEY F.I.R.E YOU..now that's the secular system why should we expect THE FATHERS HOUSE NOT TO HAVE ANY GUIDELINES TO FOLLOW.
Now i totally disagree with the church if the woman is gone then they should leave her alone... but again WE DON'T KNOW ALL THE DETAILS CONCERNING THE RELATIONSHIP.. SO TRULY IT'S HARD TO SAY... SHUCKS THEY JUST FIRED KWAME KILPATRICK FOR GETTING HIS FREAK ON AS THE MAYOR.. THEY GOT IN HIS EMAIL, TEXTS, BANK ACCOUNTS, ETC. WHY? WHY?
Because he was an official someone to uphold a standard to the best of his ability and represent the people he was over.... well i'm sorry but being a CHRISTIAN IS to me a higher position and we should be BLATANTLY, BOLDLY, ARROGANTLY, UNREMORSEFULLY, screwing around, fighters, weedheads, crackheads, strippers, pimps, alcholics, cheaters, haters, EVERYDAY ALL DAY ALLLLLL IN THE NAME OF GOD!!!
Closing it with the Proverbial "God knows my heart" Which means what? If we say we are for Christ then that's the first thing that's suppose to change and that's our heart.
I'm sorry but to me that's God's truth lined with His Grace.. NO JUDGEMENT
now if anyone really takes time to read what I wrote, go read the scripture i gave then you will find that i am not in opposition so much with the thoughts that are posted, i just know the misguided truth behind this particular churchs' mentatlity. They are right, but then they are wrong.

Comment: As the article stated, some churches do this but only to thier active members and not to former members. I would like to know if she is being singled out and if not what did she say or do when the church outed other member's sins? People who attend churches that believe in doing this don't have a problem when it's somebody else committing the sin, but when they get caught it's a different story.

Comment: Now there usually lies the problem because most of the time they blast certain people using the scripture, but if it's like the pastors kid or an elders kid or someone of status in the church they usually brush that under the rug WHICH IS TOTALLY WRONG!!!! if grace is going to be applied then it should apply to ALL, if judgement then it should apply for ALL!! Most people are hurt in these kind of churches because of the partiality.

Comment: Jesus came to destroy religion, you can be in the church religiously 9 days a week and still be far from God. What Jesus came to establish was a relationship with the people. With regard to this woman. These people have lost their entire minds, and it has nothing to do with Jesus, they are out to hurt and destroy her. The word of God says to expose the sin, that the person will repent and turn to God. What they're doing is destructive, and it will backfire on them. Hebrews 4:12 says The word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two edge sword piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit and of the joints and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. That's my question what is the intent of their actions? It certaintly isn't for her to repent and turn fully towards a Loving Jesus. Something else is going on here.

But rather than be outraged, we who know the truth should be praying for the wisdom of God to overtake all of the people concerned and that mercy as well as grace, love and forgiveness will yet abound. Matthew 18:15 is about correcting a fellow believer.....and Jesus himself is speaking..."If another believer sins against you, go privately and point out the fault." (Wonder who Sister sinned against? The man? Herself?) "If the other person listens & confesses it, you have won that person back. But if you are unsuccessful, take one or two others with you and go back again, so that everything you say may be confirmed by two or three witnesses. If that person still refuses to listen, take your case to the church. If the church decides you are right, but the other person won't accept it, treat that person as a pagan/heathen or corrupt tax collector." Somehow, exposing this woman's business is not in keeping with the word. Again, who is the wronged party? And while I believe that as followers of the Lord Jesus we are required to live holy lives, when we stumble, or even become ensnared in the traps of the enemy, why oh why can't we be more loving toward each other and steadfastly pray for the deliverence of our sisters and brothers from whatever sin that are caught up in? Not upholding the sin...which by the way can encompass lying, stealing, fornicating, murdering, coveting, etc. Jesus did not differentiate between sins. Sin is sin! Soooo, do they bring other offenders before the congregation and expose their wrongs? Just asking. But, when we repent, God is standing at the ready to not only forgive us but He will cleanse us from all unrighteousness. And He won't later remind us of our wrongdoing! Hallelujah!

Rebecca understand that 'guilty' parties could be called out for engaging in sin-ful unrepentent lifestyles? Was she serving in the capacity of leadership? (Choir Director, Sunday School teacher, Youth Minister?) Was this her boyfriend or boyfriend who was living with her? Lot of dynamics could have been going on.....BUT, I just want to know, who called the local news station? What was that about?

Comment: Okie Dokie! I checked out the church's web-site (I don't agree with all of the tenents of thir faith) and a few of the news articles. This is a conservative, southern churchthat Sis. Rebecca joined. Sis. Rebecca began her relationship with her boyfriend several months before her divorce from her husband was final. She confided this to one of the sisters at the church. Sis. You-Need-to-Repent tried to counsel her and prayerfully guide her to stop what she was doing. Sis. Becky didn't. The word got out (gossip) and then they began spying on Becky and let her know they knew she was staying out all night long. Messy stuff here. This began back in October....she turned in letter of resignation and left. Why they are still pursuing this is beyond me. Although on the one hand I can understand the position of the church not to uphold one in wrongdoing, still telling everybody doesn't seem the best way to handle this, especially since Becky has left this congregation.
