Comment: Honey, I agree with you. Sticking with the original track would go nowhere though. It's outdated in the rap world and the younger kids wouldn't listen to it. At least they tried. You have to give them that.

Comment: we had some good music!!! it's too bad we have a bunch of garbage today that speaks only about the individual and the loot they have; the hoes (not a word i use) they have sex with (cause love is never mentioned); the bentleys they push, or ferraris, or some other exotic car; the ice they wear (just ignore the blood diamonds). never is WE mentioned. why? because after all the time that has transpired, over the centuries, yt finally has our children thinking solely about self and not the collective. we (black folk) are a joke to so many other ethnic groups, and we have so much to offer ourselves and the world. but that's what happens when you have to look outside yourself to legitimize yourself.

Comment: telthepe you lost me. I am not being smart/sarcastic in any sense, so please don't take this as such. What does your post have to do with this post? This post was about Chicago area rappers remaking Self Destruction. I don't like this version, but what they did was a very good thing. Chicago was had a steady stream a violence as of late and they made a song to help stop the violence. What you did was come in here bashing all rappers talking about the old days that are long and gone. Help me out here. What exactly is your post about?
