Tell me about it, PLEASE?! >>>>>@Gurlfrand, this man has an uncalled-for air of arrogant conceit about him, like he is KING Harvey. I purchased the "Don't Trip" DVD at the FYI on 6th Avenue near Rockefeller Center a couple of years ago (around the time Jackie Reed mysteriously "resigned" from his radio show). I had to wait on a long line to get his autograph on the DVD case and take a picture with him. When it was my turn, I walked up with a big smile on my face, and stopped in mid-sentence, "Good after--," because the look on his face said, "Why are you here bothering me?" It was SO embarrassing, because I had my teenage daughter with me. She saw it as well. She was holding the camera to take the photo. I told her to hurry up. It was one of those disposable cameras. I haven't gotten the photograph developed YET. Had I known this man was SO unlike the comedian I loved and listened to every morning on the radio, I would NEVER have purchased that DVD.

Comment: Well, I've been searching everywhere on the Internet trying to find out info about this involuntary manslaughter charge. Even though I didn't find anything, I'm shocked at all this stuff about going behind Bernie Mac's back whining about how HE (Steve) would've been a better choice for Ocean's 11 than Bernie. ALSO, even though I knew he tried cheating his second wife (Wynton's mother) in their divorce settlement, I had NO IDEA he was getting away with paying her only $1,000/month child support!!! Thank goodness the woman had a brain in her head and put a STOP to what he was trying to do!!

Comment: Sorry Guys I went shopping for my holiday meal. This was at the Beginning of his career. Steve Harvey was about to take off. He was on some show and then abruptly the show was cancelled. Then you hear how he was arrested for drinking and driving, and that the passenger in his car was killed. That's why he don't drink and drive, the last time he did it, his friend was killed. Yes Steve did do time I'm not sure about the specific charge, but he did do time.

Comment: Oh and then with regard to Bernie Mac, Steve Harvey and his agent called the producers of Ocean's 11 12 or 13, and told them how Steve would be much better at the part than Bernie would. Now Bernie was taped saying that. Don't think Bernie would lie on his boy like that.

Comment: When Steve Harvey did his radio show here in LA, he talked about the Bernie Mac incident and denied that it was true. He said that he heard Bernie say that he (Steve) is self-centered that everything's "all about him." So he and Shirley Strawberry et al clowned about the "all about him" line for quite some time. Given the rep Bernie had (being humble and easy-going), I'm inclined to believe Bernie's version. BTW, the beef apparently continued up to death because Steve was very vague regarding the nature of their relationship on Larry King and even in the Kam interview. I will never understand how folks whose livelihood depends on the public liking him treat the public with disdain. And one final comment -- why in the h!ll does Steve need a bodyguard?!

Comment: Hi Grace, sorry Girl... I had to go to work. Yeah, He is a straight up back stabber! Bottomline... He was and still is Jealous of Bernie Mac. Mac's rise to stardom was just as slow as his, but he remained humble. Steve has crossed just about everyone he could when he could. I have a very close friend, that is a Frat Sister with Jacquee Reid. Her departure from the show was based on her telling Steven A Smith off, and Steve Harvey didn't back her. He really wanted his Friend Shirley Strawberry to be in the position that Jacquee had. He may be generous now so he says, but trust me, If I was in anyway connected with him or his circle of friends, I would definitely be very careful of him.

Comment: I'm glad I came back here (after hours). I am shocked!! @BKLYNVIAMANHATTAN, WHO is Steven A. Smith??? Justconcern, I hadn't heard anything about him abusing Wynton before!! I did search (and find) information about that. Wynton's mother (Mary) probably thought she was doing the right thing by allowing him to live with Steve, but this is not going to turn out to be a good thing for the boy. I wonder what Wife No. 3 is thinking (or is she getting her azz kicked too?). Steve Harvey is a DANGEROUS, VIOLENT man!!

I know how you feel, I lost my Grandma in Feb of this year, and last night when I put up my tree, I couldn't help but cry. But I know that she is in a better place, regardless! So you should feel so blessed to know that your Grandmother is smiling down on You this Holiday. Keep Singing, and trust me, this too will be alright. Now about Steve, there is really nothing else to say about him. His Ex-wife trusted a SNAKE. However, she prevailed in the end. She got some change from him. Best believe he tried his damn-dest not to give her anything. But Kharma is mofo. I don't feel sorry for him. Enjoy this day, and no matter what this day brings,just remember, God Loves Us All.

Comment: Merry, Merry Grace. No.. Stephen A Smith is a Sports Nut. He had a show on ESPN. He fills in for Steve Harvey when he is out on vacation etc. You can't miss him. He had his own show for some time, however, he is a branded piece of work! Loud and the whole nine! They should just play "Best Of" shows like they used to do. It's been 19 years, but I am thinking of my grandmother today too. I lost her the day after Christmas Day in 1989. She had gone through so much suffering (diabetes, high blood pressure, arteriosclerosis, double amputee AND Alzheimer's disease). I

Comment: Glad I came back to this board. allaboutlydia I feel U(didnt realise posting in caps means shouting heheheheheheehehehehehehehehehehe Believe me I'm very soft spoken, even though my singing voice is just the opposite. Though talking about Steve Harvey arrongance does get me stirred up, so maybe that's y it came across like I was shouting(smile). BKLYNVIAMAHATTAN. Thank u 4 ur heart felt kind comforting words concerning the death of my grandmother!!! My sympathy goes out 2 u 2 in the lose of ur grandmother this year 2. U do understand what I'M FEELING!!!. Thank u I do plan 2 keep on singing, my grandmother loved my voice. Now everytime I sing I do it in memory of her. I'm planning 2 do a gospel c/d in her memory b/4 the new year is out!!! singing and praying have kept me from feeling like i was losing it. And Grace12_34 though its been 19 years since u lost ur grandmother, my heartfelt sympathy goes out 2 u 2. I lost my very best friend in 1994 this coming 2009 she will b dead 15 years. And I still cry like it happened yesterday on her birthday holidays ETC. I had 2 help raise her 3 children my godchildrens. The youngest just 10 years old who found his mom in the bed dead, and they came got me. I was devestated and still is but I had 2 push on 2 help raise my godchildrens. So though its been 19 years since ur grandmother been gone I understand ur still feeling the pain. As BKLYNVIAMANHATTAN I BELIEVE SAID just know she's gone 2 a better place!! and she's free from suffering. I will keep u and Grace12_34 in my prayers!!! and I pray that 2009 B a Blessed Year 4 us all, and god will give us the strength 2 withstand whatever trialer we may have 2 face in 2009. yes God does love us all amen!!!
