Comment: Is this a FOOL or what? I saw this story and the comments he made re:his date on CNN, of all places. His wife must definitely be in the "cheaper to keep her" category because he never mentions her nor is he ever seen with her...but what about the daughter in college (embarrassment maybe??). We'll see if TNT will have him make another apology like they did re: his unpaid gambling debts. IMO I don't think they will ever fire him because he is pretty much the show (for whatever that's worth) and while I love CWebb (I have followed his career since his Fab 5 days) he is a "terrible" analyst. I thought he might brush up, step up, SPEED up or go get some help/assistance/somethin' from his partner JRose (whose doing his thing on ESPN) over the summer but NO! By, the time he states his opinion it is time for a commercial! and Magic is over on ABC/ESPN now so after the games why even bother watching these dudes..but I digress.

With that said, drunk people say dumb things, and the police were dead wrong to release the "bl*w job" information as it isn't relevant to the DUI. Had he been arrested for solicitation, that would have been different, but he wasn't. The cops simply wanted to dig the knife a bit deeper. Let me guess, they were white, the woman in the car was white, and the cops in racist Arizona resented it. As for Sir Charles, he's headed down the road of OJ. Doesn't have the sense God gave him to lay low with his riches.

They think just because you made millions that you must have millions left over even after being retired for years. They don't realize that each day is an expense. Hiring a driver like that's cheaper than a taxi.

People do either at all levels of budgets. So... uhm ... what was your point. I could tell you that I've never driven impaired after drinking. But I won't, because this ain't about me, it's about responsibility. And there's zero excuse for Charles or anyone to have driven in this state when the cure was as simple as calling a damn taxi. If he was as impared as he apparently was he was drunk enough to have killed someone. Frankly, it's irresponsible to give him any excuse... especially a man with his kind of money.

With as many people who are killed by drunk drivers and as many organizations waging campaigns against drunken driving there is zero excuse for anyone to be so boneheaded as to drive impaired. And when you have the kind of money Charles has there's even more of a reason not to be driving drunk.
