She is half white. In school, the white kids didn't like her and neither did the Black kids. Her only escape was singing.
Fast forward...she gets married to a white guy, wins a TV show singing contest and then Simon Cowell, a white boy, is trying to make people think she is the new Mariah.
End of story. I've heard her sing live, it really is the end of the story.
