Comment: RIP Mr. Ward. The Ohio Players were definitely part of the soundtrack of my teen age years. Yup, the 70s, when we all had kinds of fun and nobody got hurt!

Comment: The Ohio Players, when it came to funk, were in the snot-nosed catagory, which is to say, if you were dancing to an Ohio Players song ("Fire," "Love Roller Coaster," Whoochie Coo," etc.), and happened to have a cold at the time, you wouldn't stop, not even to wipe the snot from the bottom of your nose.

Comment: The Ohio Players definitely brought the funk in the 70's. I remember hearing "Skin Tight" for the first time and liking it then and there. We had fun and made other people think there was a party going on when there wasn't. Rest in Peace Robert Ward.
