Comment: Enough already! If Kim don't want to be involved than good for her she moved on. It had to have been hard for her. Yeah she was with Big long before he got with Faith but maybe just maybe Kim wanted to be the wife not the side chick (like she was). The marriage did come out of nowhere, wasn't it very shortly after the Vibe photo shoot? If Kim went through all the emotional work to move one after allowing herself to stay with someone who really didn't want her like she wanted him then god bless her. At least she's proven she's "bigger" (LOL). Ms. Wallace looks real foolish wanting a sit down with her. to say what? Dude is dead and has been for what 10 years. Enough already!!!!

Name: Teigh
Comment: And now we see why 50 got Joy Bryant to play the role of Niqua and why he changed the story when it came to how she really was -- he needed her to sign off on the movie and he knew she wouldn't have if he was honest. Point I'm trying to make: for all Kim's not wanting to be involved, she signed off hewr likeness and story for this film (without even knowing how she would be portrayed. She didn't have to do that!

Name: tellyy
Comment: lil kim has moved on and last time i heard that lil kim was engaged with a white, jewish man before she went to prison.

Name: huey
Comment: dont matter one way or the other, mess will be on dvd in two weeks and i dont mean bootleg.

Name: MOTHERSHIP
Comment: Teigh, it ain't Kim, EUR just rehashin' the same article from Friday. They need to quit, for real.

Name: Smokie1
Comment: Lil Kim wants no part of the biopic on Biggie and from what I can see made no waves while the movie was being made. What does Biggie's mom want to talk to her about? She can't apologize for the things that Biggie did to Lil Kim, only Biggie can do that and seeing that he is dead, Lil Kim has had to deal with that and get over it all of these years later. I didn't need to know Biggie's story, so sometimes it is just best to leave things the way they are.... in the past. Doing this movie will not bring his killer any close to being caught.

Name: McNasty
Comment: Ewww! That's a hard look for this early in the morning. I swear this child looked hella better before she went under the knife. Now she looks like Bette Davis very late in the movie 'What ever happened to Baby Jane'! Witchipoo looks better! As for this article - Naughton had but to watch clips from vh1, lk videos and the few interviews she's done to get a sense of the skeeze - it ain't that damn heavy.

Name: McNasty
Comment: Teigh somebody should have told this child that there are girls you take home to meet your mother (marriage material) and girls you better not dare take home to meet your mother. Kim was satisfied with her role and sloppy seconds so she should have had no aspirations to be wifey. She had what she had and I pray that she's not the one biggie shat on!

Name: nightshift
Comment: How is this putty face going to expose somebody? She just mad 'cause her tired little butt didn't get paid what she thinks she was worth. Why would his mother want to consort with a hood rat like her?

Name: ss69054
Comment: This is just a waste of time and very irrelevant. This is some hoodrat b/s right here. Huey, I agree this is gonna be some garbage that will probably make it to one those low-budget $1 movie theaters the next following week. I enjoyed Biggie music but what kind of icon was he really?

Name: khufu
Comment: first of all a film about BIGGIE is so unnecessary and further indication of how fooked up we are as a community....maybe I need to stop my romanticized notions of us being a community?...really, how significant is this film? And please not another, "BIG represented the hood!" non-sensical azz attempt at giving significance to something that i can get from any hood on the corner if I want representation....having said that: this renders LIL Kim, FAITH and BIGGIE'S mother all insignificant in real, larger scheme of things........

Name: RSmi
Comment: I wonder if it's true what Faith said "we all signed the same agreement to be portrayed in the movie" If this is the case why is she griping now. I'm sure they were paid something. Everyone knows moviemakers are going to sensationalize the story as much as possible. She knows she wanted to be portrayed by her name in that movie her ego couldn't resist.

Name: Luke_Cage
Comment: Awww, come on now khufu. BIG represented the hood! You gotta make a movie out of this great icon - lol

Name: khufu
Comment: LOL LUKE here in NY you want street icons to make movies about? They are all over....outta jail, rappers, etc...enough of this sheet already but alas, the majority of Blackfolks are of the BIG, Meet the Browns, Tyler Perry mentality........

Name: ss69054
Comment: Khufu: I agree my brotha!! The community needs therapy!!

Name: javone77
Comment: Luke: great icon? Uhm..........LOL

Name: Renetta
Comment: Khufu on the rampage. Good to see you back on the page brother. But what type of stories would you like to see? You have to admit Biggie and Tupac had huge influence on Black America and I believe the people that killed them were paid by FBI or CIA – they had too much power. If Kanye wasn’t such a brat at times, he’d have to watch his back too. Forceful, intelligent, outspoken black man are not allowed to amass a lot of power. They’re either marginalized, fired (Isiaiah Wash) or killed. I believe Tupac and Biggie were %*$assinated by YT.

Comment: the community needs healling...the community needs the real Jesus

Name: SpecialK
Comment: khufu: I agree with you. I still can't comprehend people calling Biggie the greatest rapper of all time. Huh??? Just like Bobby Brown is NOT the king of R&B, Biggie is NOT the greatest rapper. What did Biggie do so fantastic and out of this world that warrants a movie of his life?

Name: yasmine1
Comment: this whole thing smells like its all about the Benjis

Name: TesticAl
Comment: Special, who is the best rapper then? Please enlighten me. If BIG wasn't the best he damn sure is at the top. How are you going to say he isn't the best without explainng why? Who is the best to you and why? I swear, people on here go off without saying anything. BIG had flow, rhythm and style. That's what he brought to the table that made him one of the best to do it. Dude blew up off ONE album. After he said, "It was all a dream" it was all over.

Name: DCGG
Comment: Oh who gives a fuvk...bytchs just squabblin to get this tired azz movie some hype...Lil Kim, Faith and Biggie's ugly azz momma can all go jump off the fuvkin brooklyn brige some damn where...NEXT!

Name: adifferentpath
Comment: this IS all about the benjis. TesticAL, BIG was a hot one. Blowing up off one album is the thing now tho.' I feel ya', he did this when it wasn't the "norm." A lot of folks now ain't gots no talent (yep, meant to write it like that). The best? Not to me, but I like a different time period anyways. For his time, some will say so. I prefer KRS. Just me. This movie is gonna be LOVE-LEE!...if viewed while sitting in the convenience of your own home....me thinks. It'll make some paper tho.

Comment: Testic: You sure are taking MY comments personally. Slo ya role brotha!! I'm more down with Talib Kwale(?), Mos Def, Common, etc. They're what I call intelligent rappers. They don't have to rap about women rubbing their titties, popping champagne, etc. This is MY opinion and I'M sticking to it!!

Name: tinkius
Comment: She's a HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

Name: B00TANEB00TUS
Comment: ...Yes, yes, Chistopher and Tupac had too much power, they welded way to much influence over our Black youth...They had to be neutralized by the US government...In the same manner as Fred Hampton....Also, with Christopher's lyrical skills he coulda been President of the US...I'm suprised the The President at the time didn't send the armed forces in to take Christopher out...Much like Sadam Hussein....

Name: TesticAl
Comment: Special, I'm not hype so there is no need for me to slow whatever role it you're speaking of. LOL! Yes you have your opinion, I just wanted you to state why. You did so in you second opinion. It's cool. Just to let you know, Common, Mos, and Talib rap about the things you mentioned. It's just not their main focus. They are more conscious like yu stated, but to say they don't rap about women/titties/champagne etc. is ridiculous! Let's take Mos Def's "Ms. Fatbooty" for example. I know you mean, but the ones you mentioned are not excluded from the list. LOL! We're cool though, I just had to inform you.

Name: caramelpoetry
Comment: Poor Lil Kim, feel sorry for her to some degree. I guess they will make her look like a complete fool in that movie. She signed the contract to get money and never even thought about how she would be portrayed. Poor baby!!!!

Name: MER82
Comment: I came of age during Biggie's and Tupac's reigns/war/deaths-and although I won't be banging down the theater doors to see this movie, I am not mad at them for making it, should have happened by now but anyway-there are over 8 million stories to be told in a given naked city--generational differences aside, one cannot deny the impact that Notorious BIG and Tupac had on Black youth. There is more than enough room for all of our black legends' stories to be told, whether we want to deem them credible or not.

Name: fidla61
Comment: PERHAPS YOU SHOULD SAY IT AGAIN, Thank You, <SpecialK Comment: Testic: You sure are taking MY comments personally. Slo ya role brotha!! Comment: And Lil Kim is a fuggin fool. Ain't nobody studyin her simple azz. Ain't no sense in regretting your past chick, move on and get some self worth about yourself.

Name: ss69054
Comment: MER82: I agree, LIL Kim is dumb as they come. I think all that cutting, plucking and pulling has gotten her off track. Well in sense was she ever on track.

Name: B00TANEB00TUS
Comment: I think referring to Christopher as the best of all time is a bit much...True he had skillz..but none can touch Sam I am...Yo, he was spit truth to a entire generations and he's still stronger than ever...His flow is unmatched and that includes, Rakim, Cube, Pac, Biggie, LL, Jay...who the fucc ever...Sam's flow on the legendary Green eggs and ham joint is a fuccing classic...That in the box with a fox is simplistic but yet brilliant...In the rain on a plane...C'mon now...And when he got that muthafuccer to acually eat those green eggs and ham...Yo, no MC living or dead can make a muthafuccer eat rotten eggs and ham...He not only made him eat that sh1t...The dude liked it...Talk 'bout Biggie being the best..sh1t....Sam woulda destroyed him and ruined his career....

Name: Jack_Blackmusic
Comment: Funny: Naughton said. “I really just researched on my own. I studied videos and spent time in Brooklyn to get an idea of the mentality.”

Comment: I wonder why this after school special with curse words (a hustler still making money off of dead man) is being released on MLK weekend which is leading up to one of the historical events of our lifetime?

Name: McNasty
Comment: RSmi she's gripping because she looks just like what she is in this movie and she signed the contract for her likeness to be used. Had she not signed lil kim wouldn't even be mentioned by name in thjs movie. If she has a story that's worth telling that would be her best bet since she wants to get back at them so bad.

Name: SpecialK
Comment: Testic: You always trying to start shyt! LOL!! I guess you think Lil Kim is the baddest female rapper of all time? LOL!!!!!! I got nothing but love for ya!

Comment: LOL! I like that "the community needs therapy!!" khufu. You and your written gems man. Now javone77, you do know that I said that in jest don'cha?

Name: Luke_Cage
Comment: Oh man. Sigma called that sista an "after school special with curse words!!!" What in the... LMAO!!!!

Name: CRENEEJ
Comment: BOOT, you are a fool.....

Name: Luke_Cage
Comment: Man, it's hard as hell to refer to any one rapper as the greatest of all time without first listing the criteria that some of us may base that title upon. Is it record sales, lyrical content, thought provoking shytt, stage presence, etc. I grew up on rap in the 80's so I was a huge Rakim fan! I used to rewind the tape and say things like, "did you hear what he just said?" I remember listening to Follow the Leader one time and it was like; so follow me and were ya thinking you were first- let's travel at magnificent speeds round the Universe... what could you say as the Earth gets further and further away planets are small as balls of clay Astray into the Milky Way - world's outasight... far as the eye can see, not even a satellite. I LOVED that line. And I was a huge fan of KRS-1 too. All this to say, time periods come into question as well and what we base as "best" may vary with the next man.

Name: javone77
Comment: luke: you KNOW I did LOL i am with you on the hypocrisy of calling him a legend. "black and ugly as ever"?!?!?!? greater words have never been written LOL

Name: Angel
Comment: LMAO @ Boot.

Name: TesticAl
Comment: Special, it's all good. LOL! You're cool in my book.

Name: queeniebunz
Comment: >Test - so a guy who rapped about sh*tting on people is the greatest of all time? GTFOH!!! How about Sugar Hill Game for starting the genre? And then there was Grand Master Flash with The Message. How about LL Cool J and his battle with Kool Moe Dee - Til the Break of Dawn vs. How Ya Like Me Now??? Have you listened to these songs? LL went after just about every other rapper on this song - Ice T, Kool Moe Dee, and MD Hammer to name a few. They battled hard with no violence. Off the hook! How about Public Enemy - 911 is a Joke, Polly Wanna Cracker/Brothas Gonna Work It Out/Can't Truss This. How about Tribe Called Quest - their first cd is off the hook - Bonita Applebaum, Footprints, Can I Kick It? and their second Check the Rhyme and their third Electric Relaxation. Have you ever listened to God Lives Through? Fife is so underrated! And of course there's Rakim as others said - Move the Crowd. But don't forget EPMD - Ya Gots to Chill and Heavy D and Special Ed and Queen Latifah and the Jungle Brothers and Monie Love - have you heard her flow? And of course KRS-One as others said. And I defy anybody in their early to mid thirties to stay seated when Doug E Fresh The Show is played and don't forget Slick Rick with A Children's Story. And even now you have Outkast and Talib Kwele and Mos Def and Common - have you listened to Testify? And yes, I'm a Lil Wayne fan so I like his style too. But going back to the day, don't forget Dr Dre and yes even Eminem and I work out to The N*gga Ya Love to Hate by Ice Cube. Tupac - definitely had flow and substance but Biggie? Yeah, he had some good songs but one of the greatest he isn't. I'm talking about people here with mad skills. Listen to their words and I don't see how you can put Biggie at the top. But of course you disagree...

Name: queeniebunz
Comment: ...and then there's Missy Elliot rapper and writer and producer and don't forget MC Lyte and Pharcyde and X Clan and Rob B%*$ and Chubb Rock and Digital Underground, etc. As someone said, there needs to be criteria before making such a statement.

Name: TesticAl
Comment: queeniebunz, I never said BIG was the best of all time. GTFOHN! LOL!

Name: queeniebunz
Comment: >Test - I guess what I'm saying is that he ain't even near the top...and quite honestly talking about sh*tting on women should put his nasty azz off the list completely.

Name: khufu
Comment: Fook that....Gil Scott Heron deserves a damn film

Name: khufu
Comment: LAst POets......these folks are more relevant and significant than BIGGIE....."repping the hood.." Sheet Nicky Barnes repped the hood......

Name: musbdherbs
Comment: Waddup AL!!! QB...uhm..some of those old skool artists u mentioned are straight trash..lol Having one of two tite songs don't make you great. Beign positive don't either.

Name: TesticAl
Comment: queenie, if you say so. Herbs, what up dude! I emailed you a while ago niggah and you ain't got back! LOL! Scream at ya dog.

Name: queeniebunz
Comment: >Musb - well as others have said, there would have to be some criteria but it is a very subjective topic.

Name: musbdherbs
Comment: OMB!!! I'm horrible lately w/all forms of contact. I need to call my mom back from three days ago..damn shame! QB...i know and was jfwu. Honestly, it's that way for ALL music period. Then, now whatever is all subjective. We just tend to believe our view is the right one..lol

Name: queeniebunz
Comment: >Musb- but my view is the right one. As you have said, It's the world according to QB. I own the world. You just rent and your rent is due. You didn't get the memo? ;)

Name: BKLYNVIAMAHATTAN
Comment: it seems that Charli Baltimore has teamed up against Kim!

Name: 1VAsweetsexy
Comment: I agree with Faith is saying...I am fan of Kim's but come on..if she didn't agree with the portrayal then she shouldn't hve signed the contract..she signed the contract bcuz of money...Kim's has money but more money doesn't hurt

Name: Merovingian
Comment: Not to speak ill of the dead, but was BIG's life really worth a movie? A failed drug dealer has two CDs, is involved with two hood rats and gets killed. What is so important about this story that it needs a movie? Furthermore, how do some of us compare BIG and Tupac to prophets? That is some of the silliest she-it I have heard in years. There are many other Black men and women who are worthy of their story being told, but will never have it told because we love to see this ghetto she-it. People like Jamaica's Queen Nanny or Nat Turner, to name a few, need their stories told. It is time of a new day, Brothers and Sisters. Let's move away from this ghetto mindset and embrace the true depth of Black culture.

Name: TesticAl
Comment: Merovingian I will answer your fist question. Yes it's worth a movie. Sadly in today's society everything is about the dollar. You can't be mad at that. Some people will pay to see the movie. When it comes down to it, it's all about the Benjamins. Word to the Notorious B.I.G.
