I am a JACKSON FAN-ATIC but was so disappointed in the CD because I think they were trying too hard to get a hit and it cost Janet. Janet should not be chasing Beyonce, Ciara, Rihanna and Britney. She should be blazing new trails for herself as a woman who is coming into her own and make the pop tarts chase her -- after all, it is Janet who has been in the business more than 20 years. But hey, JD from Kris Kross to Janet Jackson, he did alright. He'll be back . . .

I do feel Def Jam did try to hard for her to compete with today's younger artists which they shouldnt had done. I'm sure she will come to her senses and reconnect with Jimmy and Terry b/c that's where she belongs.

Comment: What upsets me is the fact that artist like Janet and some others who have been in the business always falter ehen they try to compete with the up and coming, and that is not the thing to do. As you grow so does your music and then maybe you will pull some of the up and coming fans to your side. It is about good solid music and her earlier albums were about good solid music. We will remember Miss You Much and Control for years to come and that music will continue to be the pennacle of what needs to be done in the future to sustain you as a true artist.

Comment: realuvbaby... what you've suggested sounds good but Janet lacks that natural talent and creativity needed to sustain a career at 40years +... Jam and Lewis was the brain...and when a woman uses her t & a to sell records... she needs to have the creativity deep within "her" to sustain it... ask Madonna..without being able to sing.. just doing the same old dances. don't cut it... the Jackson name got her Jam and Lewis... using her t & a contained it for awhile... now what...???
