Comment: This is a perfect example of how some women manipulate "the system" for their personal gain. She wasn't seeking more money to benefit the kids, or to catch-up on child support arrearages - she obviously wanted more money for herself. As she stated in her initial appeal, she can't work, because she only has a high school education... yet the $1 million dollars that he was ordered to pay several months ago wasn't enough. I feel bad for the kids being subjected to this nonsense!

Secondly, she wasn't thinkin' about her kids when she was squanderin' money on RHOA, "budget, what budget,?" Comment: I realize that it may be fashionable to offer perhaps deservedly unkind words to Sheree, but I think some folks are missing the point. She was a housewife. Her husband married her knowing and (I presume) desiring that she be a housewife and have no job outside of the home. Housewives are able to devote time to their children in ways that working moms cannot. And there is a benefit to that, whether we like that or not. The purpose of the law concerning divorce is not to alter the plans of that couple, it’s to honor those wishes (for her to be a non-working mom who is available for the well-being of the children). So personally, if there was not a prenuptial agreement she has a right to half and perhaps alimony. And while we get all hot and bothered about Sheree being a gold digger/miner can we get some heat on ole’ Bob for not paying child support in over a year. Hell, the child support award was all of $2,142 in monthly child support. Shouldn’t we be just as outraged at a father with means NOT paying child support, assuming Sheree’s lawyer is to be believed?

She's had several failed businesses which tells me she had no intention of being a housewife - she said herself she wasn't content with that. Besides that RHOA was the most miscast show among the three cause none of them are really 'housewives' and one of them just straight didn't belong. As for the child support - check my first post. I don't think he should have suspended the payments but since she wasn't working but spending thousands on shoes, clothes and jewelry I imagine a good piece of his change made it possible. Humph, think that might have been that child support she's talking about?!

If you're fortunate enough to not have to work then get an education, learn a skill. Keep yourself busy with charities and/or volunteer work. Just to keep yourself out there in case a situations like this arise. If Beyonce has to get up and go to work then I don't know what makes Sheree think her azz don't. Please don't mention that tragedy of a fshion career she was hoping for. Ms. I can't draw, sew or design WTF. She wasted money on pipe dreams and expensive shoes. Now it's time to pay the piper. All I can draw from is my experience. Both me and my wife work outside of the home. Our oldest child is in grade school and there is a lot of opportunity for parent involvement, even during the day (help with reading with/to the children, field trips, etc). Our child's school caters to high levels of parent involvement that can only come with a parent with either an extremely flexible schedule, working the night shift, or where one of the parents is "stay at home." Plus, if both parents work during the day, often times compromises have to be made about after school care. All things being equal, my preference would be that one of the parents are either part time, stay at home, or have such flexibility that they can be there even after the kiddies go to school. I have no idea if and to what extent this woman Sheree is with her children. I'm only saying that there is an intrinsic value to having a stay at home parent.

If that's the case (about Sheree having no intention of being a housewife then I'll accept that. But very few of the women on the other Housewives show are housewives. The RHOOC, virtually all of them work. Even the NY cast, a few of them worked (I found the NY cast to be boring).

Comment: -->Exum maybe field trips but how can you read to your child during the day if they are at school? except for being home when your child gets out of school, you can make arrangements to go to field trips and it's not like field trips are every other day or something....she could get a job and still be home when the kids get home or get a job where she can work from home....she can do something if being a housewife was so important even though judging by the show she rarely even mentioned her kids so she couldn't be all that into them.

Comment: Whynot, Like I said, I don't really know how she is with her kids. The show didn't really feature them too much. It could just be that there wasn't much to see and the producers decided not to cover it. Btw, the reading thing at my kid's schools is for the A.R. (Accelerated Reader) program. The kids have labs during the day when they can read AR books. Parent volunteers are needed to either read to kids who are not strong readers or to quiz the kids after they've finished their books.

Comment: Angel, Ain't no shame in my game. The Real Housewives has been one of my guilty pleasures for a few years now. I'd always wanted a version of the franchise with some Black women on there. I guess I got my wish with the Atlanta series. And with drama queens like Sheree and Nee Nee... you just can't beat that for a night of enjoyable TV. Crazy thing is that my wife hates those shows and refuses to watch... her loss. :)

Exmun this season on the new york show Jill is gonna deliver up a beat down to Ramona - that should add some excitement. It doesn't matter cause I will be watching all three to the bitter end.
Angel my husband claims not to care about any of the reality shows but he watches most of them with me and reminded me last week that the new season of real world was on. Guilty pleasures run the gamut and cut across gender.

Comment: Nothing has been announced but it's likely to come out this late summer cause they haven't started filming yet. It's too cold for ATL still. Probably begin filming in April to debut in August. Last year it debuted late summer.
