Comment: I seriously doubt if there ever was a more classier coach in any sport than "T.D." Every article written about him (except EURWEB *go figure*) had the word CLASS in it. You could teach some of these coaches a thing or two.

Comment: Tony Dungy is definitely considered a class act and his talent as a coach is indisputable. However, for some reason, I've never forgotten his reaction to his son's suicide a few years back. I didn't understand how he could return to football like the next week or so, that just baffled me. I understand that everyone expresses grief differently, but for some reason, I was never able to shake that image of him coaching a game while his family was in mourning, and my image of him has been tainted ever since. That may be judgemental of me, but I just thought I'd throw a little honesty out there. Digress...

Maybe you should write Mr. Dungy a letter and see if you can get your question answered. Being on the outside looking in at a family's problem through the media will leave question marks. Great person and great coach. Good luck Mr. Dungy.

Comment: TGen> He chose to come back the next week or so to see the team through the playoffs b/c that is what HE and HIS FAMILY decided his Son would want him to do. Frankly, its not for YOU to understand HOW or WHY this man handled HIS son's death the way HE did. How judgemental of you. He doesn't have to justify anything with anyone but God. Until you have to face a situation such as that, try not to judge others who may have. He has never been the same since. Mr. Dungy is a Christian who is also a great person, husband, father and coach. He is a class act and great example for other young Brothers who aspire to be successful on or off the field.....

Comment: i love the Colts because of Tony Dungy. to me he is the Barack Obama of the NFL. i will miss you lots TD good luck in all your endevors! it would be nice if he would stay in football though. maybe, coach a high school football team and mentor each student. Lord knows, the young men need a good leader to guide them like TD. that would be lovely.
