Comment: “Despite criticism from some African American media outlets, President Obama says he doesn't see any controversy about choosing not to release a formal White House statement about the passing of Michael Jackson” … That statement puts your standing even lower, in my book. We all know it’s a damn lie. You didn’t say anything about Michael, because at the time, you and your white advisers thought it would/could cause a negative reaction from your yt supporters. Now, because of the backlash and the overwhelming support for Michael from all quarters (yts included), you see that your initial position was a serious blunder. Now your lying azz is going public heaping compliments on Michael. Well, it is too little, too late. …. "Look, you're the first person who's actually asked me about it," … Whateva. This once more shows you to be nothing but a spineless leader who is all too willing to lie and deceive when you are found out. You ain’t no different from lying azz Bush. No, there is one major difference. If Bush didn’t think he should acknowledge Michael publicly, then public opinion would not let him change his mind. Everything about you is fake and based on politics - gauging the response of your yt constituency, your wife’s people opinion be damned.

Comment: ...damn, don't like him very much do you REDS. You sound very racist and please don't anyone come on here talking about black people can't be racist bull crap. its quite evident in this post how he feels. "...your wife's people..." he can't even merit his own half-black self. GTFOH...

Comment: That's straight bull. Nobody's coming down on him for not issuing as much as even a letter for Farrah Fawcett or Ed McMahon's family on thier passings. And these are two entertainers that his white supporters hold up more than looking down on MJ, at least the white people I know. They were more concerned about Farrah playing second fiddle in the death notices to Michael on Thursday.

Comment: ...That's my POTUS and sh1t and I know he's gotta lotta sh1t on his plate...but I ain't see nuthing wrong with issuing a statement...I ain't saying he had to take over the networks and say sh1t from the oval office...He coulda spoke from the garden: "We are all saddened by the untimely death of Michael Jackson...He was a BAD muthafuccer and a cultural icon" our prayers go out to his family"...Something like that

Comment: JamerDelta, I wanted the best for Obama, but the man is becoming so much of a disappointment everyday, there is just so much that even a black person can take. Believe me, if he continues on this path, you too will get to that point also. Remember how much TGen supported him during the campaign, and still do, but now she too is turned off by his politics . Everyday he is losing more and more support, from blacks and whites. He went back on his promises of reversing the most controversial Bush policies. Not only embracing them, but even going further on some, as he did with the right of the government to spy on its citizens. Now claiming that the citizen doesn’t even have the right to sue. … But his attitude/disregard for blacks and our concerns is very dangerous for black politics, and should be of much concern to you, as a black intellectual. There is an article on blackagendareport.com “The Election of Barack Obama Has Paralyzed Progressive Forces in US Politics”. “For as long as anybody can recall, the dominant stream in black politics has been about our right to decide and determine our own fates and the fates of our communities, to be answerable to our people and to hold each other answerable. Another stream in black politics is just as old, seeks escape from the vestiges of slavery by proving that we are worthy and willing to assimilate into the dominant society without trying to alter it in any fundamental sense. It's easy to see which of these strains our president belongs. Ultimately, this approach seeks to dissolve black politics and withdraw any recognition of the aspirations, or even the existence of the black polity. This is why, when Barack Obama introduced himself to the national spotlight, he declared that "there is no black America, there is no white America, there is only the United States of America." It is the final victory of uncritical assimilationist politics, the end of the line for black faces in high places, for there is no higher office in the land, no more powerful post on the planet.” http://blackagendareport.com/?q=content/election-barac k-obama-has-paralyzed-progressive-forces-us-politics

Comment: “African Americans did not appoint Booker T. Washington, but when Teddy Roosevelt made him the first black man allowed to dine at the president's table, the hearts of black people all over the country swelled with pride, despite the fact that Booker T had, on behalf of our great great grandparents, acquiesced to Jim Crow and permanent subordination and segregation. Back then, we were hungry for any kind of good news about others of our kind, and that seems not to have changed. It's time to grow up. Barack Obama will try to save finance capital from the crisis of its own making by neutralizing domestic opposition. Corporate media are proclaiming a new racial order in which the black movement is to be buried.” http://blackagendareport.com/?q=content/election-barac k-obama-has-paralyzed-progressive-forces-us-politics

Comment: kwrob: “Nobody's coming down on him for not issuing as much as even a letter for Farrah Fawcett or Ed McMahon's family on thier passings.” … You can’t really be serious. Take a look at the news coverage of Michael Jackson, versus Farrah and Ed. Are you really, really trying to compare these people to Michael Jackson. No one expects a president to issue a statement for every entertainer that dies, but in the case of someone as Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley, that is the least that is expected. Jimmy Carter had no hesitation in doing so then. .. Ask yourself why is Obama now speaking publicly about Michael while last week he wanted nothing to do with him. Even the private letter sent to the Jacksons was only done after the media started questioning his behavior. … But I will give you all time. Make all the excuse you want for Obama. Fool yourself into thinking that he gives a shyt about you. He only does things which he considers politically safe, and publicly embracing black issues is not one of them.

Comment: Indipindintthnkr: "shows you to be nothing but a spineless leader". … Tell me how many decisions Obama made independently, not considering possible repercussions from his yt constituency? … “Thank goodness for Secret Service” …Maybe you should have considered that also while you were criticizing Bush.

Comment: REDS would you just STFU and go crawl back into your hole. Nobody on this site cares to here your cynical azz anymore. We could be talking about a freakin lasagna recipe and your azz would be in here saying something about well "Obama doesn't like Lasagna and he has never got on the podium once to say anything positive about lasagna, he doesn't care about lasagna or black people". GTFOH for real.

Comment: Good morning everybody. REDS absolutely hates Obama. Haven't you read his other posts since Obama's swearing in? No matter what good deeds Obama does for this country, REDS will weigh in with a negative about Obama, even if he has to change the subject of the posts. "His wife's people" sounds very racist to me and I'm beginning to wonder if REDS is indeed yt. If the Obama haters, both Black and yt, had been half as vocal while Bush and 'em were ruining the economy and starting wars in West Bubba Fock, perhaps the situations would not have become so grave. H.e.l.l. these haters won't even acknowledge that Obama is HALF WHITE, and will only pose him as a stupid, weak Black man. That's pretty focked up, but hey this is america, so I'm not too surprised!

Comment: Conrad: "His wife's people" sounds very racist to me and I'm beginning to wonder if REDS is indeed yt.” … That was a phrase coined by MeloodyCool which I find very appropriate in Obama’s case. But compromising people like you is why black people’s progress is so slow. You have no problem worshipping someone who would not even publicly acknowledge another black man who has overachieved and one who is acknowledged the world over, out of fear of offending his yt constituency. Why are you so willing to accept anything black, no matter how much they compromise on the topic of race, willing to ignore black issues rather than risk offending yts. Maybe you are the racist yt.... Read the article “The Election of Barack Obama Has Paralyzed Progressive Forces in US Politics” on blackagendareport.com. But it seems the more things change, the more they remain the same. … “Back then, we were hungry for any kind of good news about others of our kind, and that seems not to have changed. It's time to grow up. Barack Obama will try to save finance capital from the crisis of its own making by neutralizing domestic opposition. Comment: indipindintthnkr: “WOW So you would of rather had McCain as president? U think HE cares about Black ppl? Did u vote for McCain? Are u a plant? Just wondering” … I voted straight Democrat, still have my voting receipt. Do you really think Obama’s politics is that different from the Republicans, on the topic of race? The Republicans opposed Affirmative action, there argument is that America is beyond race and no decision should involve race. Obama’s post racial politics is no different. No policy should be based on race, no matter that we still live in a society that race matters so much in almost every aspect of our lives, from rate of incarceration to employment. … So do you think Obama cares about Black ppl? I’ll answer that for you. Sure he does, but he cares far more about his political ambition. That’s why he, like McCain and the Republicans, will not do anything for your black azz out of fear of alienating his yt constituency.

Comment: Sorry, REDS, you are speaking way out of turn here. He will NEVER lose my support. Right or wrong...I chose him over everybody else in the primary and over McCain because I believe his views are as close to mine as I could get. I think he's doing a fantastic job and I am not in the least bit disappointed by anything he has done. I believe he is head and shoulders above any of his predecessors in terms of his intelligence and his ability to handle foreign policy etc. I love how he handles the press and puts them in their place when he needs to and I love how he's showing what real black men are like when given real power. Will I agree with everything he does, no, but I never expected to as he's a human being and sees things differently than I but I do TRUST him to do what's best given the information he has and I believe he'll govern from his conscience and that's all I can ask for. He is the president of ALL of us and so must act accordingly. Once AGAIN, HE WILL NEVER LOSE MY SUPPORT! I think he's doing a good job for everyone and that the %age of my people who are complaining are the ones that are always complaining and never want to do anything but complain. They can keep that. Like I've said on this board many times. If my life is to change, its up to me, not the president but I see him trying to make people's lives better and can only give him kudos for that. Do you really think McCain would be trying to better education and health care and anything that can directly affect your life or would he be helping out his cronies only? Please man, you're straight full of it today. Him sending a private letter what the hel.l is so wrong with that. everything isn't for public consumption...damn, got me all riled up on my resting day!

Comment: JamerDelta: “By the way, don't ever hold up TGEN to me as an example, that chick is so negative...its ridiculous. “ … TGen is not negative. She is real. You were here during the campaign when she was a fierce defender of Obama. Me and MelodyCool would get into it with her over Obama. At the end of the day, all three of us voted for him, so that gives us all the right to hold him accountable. We are not asking for much. Just stick to your campaign promises re Bush and have some balls to stand up for your wife’s people. Whenever the topic of race and blacks comes up, he always shy away, so I don’t know if he doesn’t considers us his people. Maybe he considers himself European and Kenyan.

Comment: not everyone lives their life based on race, you know. Until I got on this board, I did't realize how many black people live their lives seeing everything through race first. It was amazing to me...and I'm as black as they come. not only color wise, but in who I am. I'm a proud chocolate sister but I just don't always assume people are against me based on color first...I attribute it to spending my early years in Jamaica where it wasn't about race because we were all the same color, we had to look at individuals so I do the same thing here. anyhoo, TGEN, isn't real, she's real negative period on 99.9% of the stories. she had the nerve to tell someone to get off their meds on a mental health story. Please, she needs an epiphany. Newsflash, you're not holding anyone accountable, you are just criticizing, and sorry, but there has never been a monument or statue built to honor the critic...if you think you know or can do better...why didn't/don't you run for president. Boy, I detest armchair quarterbacks who couldn't even get in the ring and hold their own.

Comment: Red, You sound like Rush and Hannity. When did MJ's death become political? Now I mentioned Farrah and Ed based on the things white people at my job have said, and I'm sure there are others outside my earshot who feel the same as them. They felt sorry for Farrah dying on the same day as Michael because they knew his death overshadowed hers. They didn't feel sorry for Michael dying. One guy even said children and primates were rejoicing around the world. A co-worker said she heard a salesperson say the joke around his office was MJ died with a two yr old penis in his mouth. This is why I say Obama would get more flack from his white supporters for not publicly acknowledging Farrah more so than issuing a statement about MJ.

Comment: WOW again. I must of I touched a nerve. In all of my postings I've never went at you or anyone with demeaning remarks. Was it because I asked if you were a Plant; put on this site to stir up negativity of this administration? Yeah, so, my azz IS black. In fact, my whole body is. If you got a problem with that, take it up with the Almighty creator. He's the one who made me this way.

Comment: "That was a phrase coined by MeloodyCool which I find very appropriate in Obama’s case." Oh, you do, do you? First of all, you don't know a gotdamn thing about me. Compromising? Only with my family whom I dearly love. I don't have to compromise with any focking body on this earth, including Obama. Obviously, you don't know where I come from or who I am. Let me educate you. I've been around a helluva long time coming out of a place called Bedford-Stuyvesant, in Brooklyn, New York (I'm proud to say). Make no mistake, that is not an area in which you compromise, and any sign of weakness will get your azz smoked! I received my informal education on the streets of Brooklyn, and my formal education at Brooklyn College. From the time Obama was sworn in last winter until this very momemt, you have been on a negative bent toward him throughout the winter, fall and now the summer. You try to post links about Obama, which are intrinsically negative. You must have loved that old senile, third-rate actor Reagan, and each and every yt mother focking president before and after him. Yet, you want to hold Obama to a higher standard, especially after ALL the aforesaid presidents, focked this country like it was their personal whore. However, for some reason unknown to mankind, you expect Obama to fix three hundred years of toxic bullshyt in a matter of weeks. You truly are Poor Johnny-One-Note, and so transparent that if you are indeed Black (and I question the moniker REDS -- is that to set you apart from Black people), then you truly are an Uncle Ruckus or JCP on crack. I don't pick cyber fights, but after reading some of your diatribe, negative bullshyt on EVERYTHING Obama, I thought it was time I spoke up and let you know my personal feelings. I don't give a flying fock whether you like Obama or not, I do. When Obama puts forth a policy, I am woman enough to say I don't like it. However, you remained ominiously quiet while bushshyt and 'em just totally focked up this country and started false wars in other countries. Finally, I suppose you've heard the saying everyone can't be wrong. Well, I believe in that saying. It seems to me that everyone in this post have read your negative and hateful posts slamming Obama, have grown tired of you, and they don't like it either. Now, you can do one of two things for me -- you can kiss all of my grits, or trot your monkey azz on over to the klan sites and talk to your like brothers and sisters there. But don't you ever again presume that you know who I am again, or what my political slant might be.

Name: Reds
Comment: Calm down Conrad. Take a deep breath. Now exhale. …. OK. You stressed a lot how I don’t know you. I don’t presume to, my reponse was purely based on your response to my initial post on Obama. You, on the other hand, claim to be quite familiar with my postings. Well, you obviously were quite selective in your readings, because if you came to the conclusion that I support any Republican president from Reagan to Bush, then I have to assume that reading comprehension was not one of your favorite subjects. …. I really don’t want to get into it with you because you are obviously in a highly charged emotional state. But just consider this. If I’m such a supporter of “every yt mother focking president before and after him” who have “focked this country like it was their personal whore”, why then would I be so disappointed in Obama for not prosecuting Bush, Cheney and the rest of the gang? I guess your selective reading of my posts missed that. … Conrad, rest assured that we are still on the same team, I’m just not the one to compromise on my beliefs just because we now have a black guy in the white house. It was wrong when Bush held people in indefinite detention without charging them, and it is just as wrong when Obama went and propose doing the same with some detainees. I could go on with more similarities between Bush and Obama, but I’m sure you got the point. … “if you are indeed Black (and I question the moniker REDS -- is that to set you apart from Black people)” … Com’on Conrad, you are stressing yourself over this way too much. The name Reds does not have anything to do with my complexion. Around the time when EUR required posters to register a name, I chose reds, being one of my favorite colors. Around that time, I had also just got a red car, which I still have. I’m pretty sure I told this story here before. Oh, yeah, someone was associating reds with red states. If you really want to know more about my complexion, without being too exact, let’s just say I’m not as dark as Puffy, but darker than Jah Rule. Hope that’s dark enough for you. Anyway, hope you had a nice 4th.
