Comment: I hope the Media will give M.J.'s kid's some space and not follow their every movement.

Name: ELSBABY
Comment: Like most, Usher is taking this hard. Everyone watch out for the bogus program that is making it's way through email. It starts of nice with beautiful pictures of Michael and then goes into this terrible bio full of stuff detailing his child molestation cases and all of the stuff he went through with the media. Just trashy.

Name: B00TANEB00TUS
Comment: ...The kids kinda look like Q's kids-huh?...MJ probaby kept 'em away from their cousins...It's good hearing how well they seemed to get along with 'em...but somebody needs to cut that lil boys hair...He kinda looks like a lil MJ...Not the J-5 MJ but the...later edition..

Name: allaboutlydia
Comment: ELSABABY - thanks for the headsup. I will delete the garbage it if makes its way into my email box. The sisters looked quite classy and composed. THe crowd loved Janet. She is a big star in her own right. I pray that Katherine Jackson gets the kids and not Debbie Rowe.

Comment: Good morning Boot. I know another poster asked you this the other day, but what kind of work do you do? Just curious. Last week you posted about a meeting you had at work in which racist comments were spewed. You mentioned that you didn't promote one of the guys. So I was just curious as to what you did for a living.

Name: bigchassie
Comment: ELSBABY>i'm glad you told me that. i got the same email. so i will promptly delete it then. i got the copy of the beautiful Memorial program, it's so beautifully put together.

Name: bigchassie
Comment: but yeah, yall right. Usher is taking this very hard. and plus he's also going through his own personal hell too dealing with the soon to be ex- wife-to-be. hang in there Usher!

Name: YLawdY
Comment: How did that reporter expect the children to behave? The tone seem surprised that they were polite and well spoken and dare I say normal children. WTH?

Name: ELSBABY
Comment: We probably won't know who the youngest childs (biological) parents are but he kinda favors Michael to me. Maybe it's just me, but the other two don't look like Debbie Rowe. I stared but I don't see it. I am going to go get my glasses, LOL!

Name: lionqueen0728
Comment: where was JD???

Name: Shazza
Comment: Thank you, YLawdY! I thought I was being a bit sensitive but that was the tone I got too. It's like 'OMG, the Jacksons ARE civilized!' And Boot, seeing the family interact with those kids, it's obvious MJ DIDN'T keep his kids away from them. Maybe Joe (doesn't he live in Vegas, anyway?) but Michael adored his Mom so they weren't isolated from the rest of the family.

Name: Shazza
Comment: lionqueen0728, it was rumored that JD & Janet broke up a couple of weeks ago. Though you'd think he'd still be there for this.

Name: goldengirl2
Comment: Cosign YLawdY- The media makes me sick at times always looking for negative things that they can exploit. They thought the children would act like STEPFORD KIDS - all robotic and zombie like- lol.

Name: B00TANEB00TUS
Comment: ...hey lydia, I used to work in corp. America...but got sick of the dumb-sh1t...I work for myself now...I don't make as much but I can say or do whateva the he11 I want...I was never really good at azz kissing anyways...

Name: B00TANEB00TUS
Comment: ...I forgot to add, I got rid of BOTH OF THOSE muthafuccers, the Black and the White one...They never saw it coming...

Name: MsVanese
Comment: changing subject: what is the uproar about a stamp for MJ? hell, they have one for Elvis and wasn't he a dang drug addict & racist? i am sure if they look back, they will find others on stamps who didn't deserve it? I am soooo tired of ignant azz crap.

Name: andryce76
Comment: yes they need to go ahead and give Michael that stamp Elvis met Priscilla at 13 her parents sold her to him she moved into Graceland at 14 but he didn't have sex with her until she turned 18 then he married her and if anybody believes Elvis held off until priscila turned 18 they azz is crazy but Elvis got his own stamp though

Name: bigchassie
Comment: MSVANEESE>a Postage stamp for Micheal? that would be awsome! can you imagine how many folks will scoop that up? shoot! the US postal service will make a mint off of that! that would be wonderful!!

Name: ladybyrd
Comment: MsVanese> When was Elvis a racist? And why?

Name: Stephanie
Comment: Doesn't LaToya look like one of those 99 cent imitation Barbie dolls you buy at the gas station for your 2 year old daughter on your trip cross country and by the time you get to your destination, her head, arms and one leg has broken off. She needs to be thrown in the trash. She wrote that horrible book full of lies, said MJ did molest the little boys and just did anything strange for a small piece of change and now she is the grieving sister??? WTF ever. MJ probably hadn't spoken to her plastic azz in years because he sure as hell didn't attend her recent birthday party. She needs to recycled!

Name: ladybyrd
Comment: Nielsen: 31.1 million watched memorial in US. The numbers does not include International or Web numbers.

Name: ladybyrd
Comment: Latoya looks beautiful and she's wearing that hat. Janet and Rebe both look beautiful, as well.

Name: MsVanese
Comment: ladybyrd, not sure if/why Elvis was racist. why is anyone racist? anyway, from the time i was a little girl, that is all i heard from folks (maybe they lied, *shrugging shoulders*) how Elvis said, "all a black man can do for me is shine my shoes". if it isn't true, oh well.

Name: g888
Comment: I'm not really sure how much Elvis was of a racist but,I am going to give people credit like Jackie Wilson (who had some of his medical expenses paid by Elvis)Muhammad Ali,Mahalia Jackson,B.B. King,James Brown, and last but not least Jim Brown who I think would have told him where to go,I just don't see them socializing with someone if they felt he was racist, now do I think he had his prejudices?I'm sure but I'm sure that just like some of us don't like all black people(Clarence Thomas instantly comes to mind)he peobably didn't like all white folks either.

Name: TGen
Comment: Black folks, I spoke yesterday about how we need to hold those in power accountable. Here is another reason to do so. Turns out Mrs. Pelosi has rejected Rep's Lee resolution. Black folk, are you paying attention? Come election time, time to show Democrats--your "friends"--that there ARE consequences for their actions. Rep. Lee will issue a response later, but here is the article re Pelosi's decision: "Pelosi says no to Michael Jackson resolution At her press conference this morning, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was asked about the CIA, health care -- and Michael Jackson. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Tex., who spoke at Jackson's memorial service on Tuesday, wants to honor the King of Pop for his humanitarian works...Pelosi, however, doesn't want to bring it up for a vote. She says a resolution honoring Jackson would be counterproductive because it "would open up two contrary views." "Michael Jackson was a great, great performer," Pelosi said. "Lots of sadness there for many reasons." But, she added, "I don't think it is necessary for us to have a resolution." Updated at 11:47 p.m. ET. Leon Buck, the congresswoman's chief of staff, promises a response to Pelosi's comments. In a phone interview, Buck said Jackson Lee is "gathering her thoughts" and will put out a statement later today." http://blogs.usatoday.com/onpolitics/2009/07/pelosi-sa ys-no-to-michael-jackson-resolution.html

Comment: thanks g888, there are 2 sides to every story & it is always good to hear both sides. “Whoever undertakes to set himself up as a judge of Truth and Knowledge is shipwrecked by the laughter of the gods.” - Albert Einstein

Comment: BOOTS now you know they call you Tommy Strong 'cause YOU AIN'T GOT NO JOB MAN! lol

Name: Big10
Comment: I remember the "hear say" that Elvis supposedly said that "The only thing blacks can do for him is shine his shoes and buy his records", but i've never seen any hard proof of that. Wasn't Cissy Houston one of his background singers? Someone should ask her what Elvis was like. I do remember on the news when Elvis spotted a black woman looking to purchase a car, and he bought her a new Caddillac. There will be opposition but Michael deserves that stamp. Did anyone notice that on Fox they have all these "House Negroes" agreeing with them on various subjects? Them Tom's won't dare "openly" agree with O'rielly, Beck or Hannity when they critize MJ.

Name: MsVanese
Comment: lol @ TJ

Name: bigchassie
Comment: VANEESE/G888>i heard that rumor was started by the FBI during the late sixties to undermine Elvis relationship with black people. and he had black backup singers.

Name: bigchassie
Comment: lol! also, when i think of Elvis, i think of Eddie Murphy in "Delerious" everything Elvis said he had to sing it. HEY ELVIS, HOWABOUT A GLASS OF LEMONADE! ELVIS:..."LEMON-AAADDDE...THAT COOL REFRESHING DRINK!!" that dayum Eddie was foolish! *going to Netflix to order Delirious*

Name: dede0320
Comment: I heard that was a rumor also, and according to my parents Elvis's Mother was part black...

Name: bigchassie
Comment: DEDE>YEAH, I HEARD THAT WHEN HE DIED, HE SET UP HIS HOUSEKEER VERY WELL, FINANCIALLY.

Name: kevobx12
Comment: Ever seen a black man in a Elvis movie.

Name: jlove
Comment: Ms.Vanese it's true what Elvis said. My Mother & older cousin had went to that concert where he made the statement..

Name: stellababy5
Comment: Yes,Elvis said it.I remember my mom telling me something about it.A reporter had asked him something about his music and dancing and how similar it was to our music. He said "All Colored people can do for him,is buy his records and shine his shoes".Back in the 50's blacks and whites did not perform together let alone be scene together.I think my mom said it was the late 60's early 70's when he had black back-up singers. But he did say it.What ugly words from a beautiful voice.

Name: g888
Comment: During the 50's concerts were very segregated,in fact blacks were not allowed in most venues where white performers were,Alan Freed in the 50's had the first integrated concerts, where some of the r&b greats of that time like Fats Domino,Chuck Berry,Little Richard, and others performed with people like Bill Haley,Buddy Holly,Frankie Avalon and others you can see it for yourself at YouTUbe,and speaking of not being in someone's movies I can think of hundreds of them that I like that don't have a black face in them, fortunately we even produce, direct, and star in our own these days, and we have Tyler Perry making these wonderful classics, alright I'm kidding ok!
