Comment: You know, I am certainly not naive enough to have thought that racism in its many forms had been marginalized with the era of President Obama.
Instead it is quite the opposite, the racist and bigots are getting as bold as if it were 1909 and not 2009.
Truly disturbing........wonder what the Michael Steele's of the world and Ron Christie's of the dirt, think about this one.

Comment: I saw this story on ABC news yesterday. I'm sure the video is probably available on ABC's website. It was a private club and they contracted to this day camp or day care to let the children swim in the pool. They gave the money back to the day camp operator and told them not to come back. One little boy said that he was appalled at what he heard when the kids arrived at the pool and jumped in. And he should have been! It's very sad but we still have a long way to go.

Comment: CNN interviewed one crying little boy and his mom and I have to applaud them and other msm outlets for bringing light to this issue. I also applaud the parents for doing the same. If there is merit to what the club is saying, if it wasn't racism that prompted their removal of those kids, then it was definitely stupid, the act and the sorry explanation that followed. One of the [White] club members was interviewed and said he would be asking for the president's resignation not because what he said ("the kids changed the atmosphere of the pool area") was "racist" (which is debatable) but because it was stupid. Not sure I agree with that club member but at least he showed some outrage. I don't see good things for this club's future, once you get that "racist" tag, you're like kryptonite (even to a lot of White folks). We'll see...

Comment: I'm so glad Cullen spoke out. I know Tiger avoids speaking about racism at segregated golf clubs.
Perhaps I would believe the fake excuse about overcrowding -- but the club presidents already said they feared changing the "complexion" and "atmosphere" so don't try to change up your story now.

Comment: I read it was a private club, but I also read the club took $1,900 to let those kids swim there once a week. The little boy that was crying, Marcus, age 12, is the son of the female director of the center to which the Black and Brown children belong. His tears made me want to cry. He said he heard the yt adults asking what are those Black kids doing here. I hope they don't hurt our kids or steal anything. Marcus said he thought the country was beyond this crap (he didn't say crap). Out of the mouth of babes! I hope the parents sue that club into bankruptcy. "sigh" as Shakespeare once wrote, "the more things change, the more they remain the same."

Comment: Why is it when yt folks get put on blast for their overt racism, they start back-tracking, tripping over their own tongues and posing their racism as a 'misunderstanding?' What a momumental insult to Black americans, like we're too damn stupid to know what was and is going on. Tiger has proven time and again that he just does not give a shyt about anyone who is not yt. Michael is totally apathetic to the plight of Black america. It's going to take the young turks such as Cullen to call these racists out. Can you imagine if EVERY Black professional athlete in ALL sports in this country decide for just one day not to participate in their respective sports, it would create chaos in this country, because the second-strings would be taking to the courts and fields. How totally boring would that be? Sometimes we have to stop speaking on racial hate and proactively do something about it.
