*Obie Trice says the Dec. 31 shooting that left a bullet lodged in his head is nothing more than “living in Detroit, and that’s all.”
The Shady records rapper, who was shot while driving on a Detroit freeway, released a statement about the incident, explaining that this type of violence is an everyday thing in his part of town.
“You hear about it because it's me. I got ties to Eminem or whatever, but I got people that are out there dealing with it every single day where I'm from," he explained.
After being treated and released from Providence Hospital the same day, Trice is currently recovering at home. Doctors have chosen not to try and remove the bullet from his skull after deciding the operation would be too risky.
No suspects have been arrested in the shooting, however rumors mills have been circulating all kinds of theories as to who pulled the trigger and why.
"As far as rumors and guessing games, people talking road rage and all that nonsense, I'm not getting involved in any of that right now," he said.
