Michael Vick

*Tiger Woods has come up off of $38 million to purchase a 10-acre residential property in Jupiter Island. The land reportedly stretches from the Atlantic Ocean to the Intracoastal Waterway and includes a 13,207-square-foot home, several guest houses and two docks. According to records, the main, two-story home includes eight bedrooms and 13 bathrooms, and another house has six bedrooms and seven baths. The posh Jupiter Island enclave is also home to golfers Greg Norman and Nick Price and singers Celine Dion and Alan Jackson.

*Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick is coming to the defense of his little brother Marcus Vick, the former Virginia Tech quarterback who was kicked off the team following a bunch of infractions, including his stomp on an opposing player during the Gator Bowl. "Sometimes your emotions just take over," Michael Vick told AP of his brother’s yellow flag during the Bowl game. “I know Marcus. He's not the kind of kid that's going to do something like that on purpose. That's just something he's got to live with, and now it's just time to move on.”

*The Indiana Pacers on Wednesday finally got rid of their unhappy player Ron Artest. The Queens, NY standout was traded to the Sacramento Kings for Peja Stojakovic in a deal the Pacers hope will allow the troubled player to rebuild his image. "Maybe this was not the right team for a guy like Ronnie," Pacers CEO Donnie Walsh said. "Really, Ronnie couldn't get out from under it and I hope he does in Sacramento because everyone needs a fresh start."
