Los Angeles, CA - As new cutting edge technology devices continue to infiltrate the hip hop community, the Los Angeles based company, Portable Media Concepts is poised to shake things up. Introducing the first portable belt buckle, that doubles as a media device, their patent pending technology design will converge music, video and apparel in the most innovative concept yet! The Video Buckle and MP3 Buckle are poised to rock the hip hop community and the world.

Winston Hardson, cofounder of Portable Media Concepts explains, "With the emergence of portable MP3 players and the success of so many hip hop clothing lines, it was a natural progression for the two to merge. Belt buckles are hot gear right now, but imagine a buckle that plays videos and music.

The Portable Media Concepts Network (website to go live April 2006) will evolve the belt buckle to support a permission-based, personal approach to the world of digital music. The Network will evolve and be inclusive of other online media partners to offer its community of users thousands of secure music and multimedia downloads, as well as core tools to extend their enjoyment, including chat, email and instant messaging. Users will also have he ability to remotely access the Network from locations other than their home. The Portable Media Concepts business model provides for two principal revenue sources - the sale of these unique devices and the distribution of secure content.

"We think the Portable Media Concepts business model is a great example of how digital content delivery can increase revenue possibilities for content holders and artists," cites partner and cofounder Mark Bush.

Portable Media Concepts early promise of revolutionizing the music and apparel industry is fast approaching with the accessory/player and is slated to hit retail in the late spring / early summer 2006. The MP3 digital music Buckle will retail $79 and $129 for the Video Buckle.

"The state of affairs for cutting edge companies and business models has been challenging since the downturn of the U.S. market and economy a few years ago. We're excited that Portable Media Concepts will be a first mover with regard to three large industry sectors-apparel, technology and entertainment, with promise to emerge for the long haul. Recent technology modifications and Portable Media Concepts initiatives to harness entertainment industry support should make for a successful launch of the product," Bush summarizes.
