*During a promotional tour last month for her new book “Fabulosity: What It Is and How To Get It,” Kimora Lee Simmons was bombarded with questions about the stability of her seven-year marriage to Def Jam co-founder Russell Simmons, as rumors of distance between them were at an all time high.
Although the Baby Phat creator denied such reports at every turn, Us Weekly is reporting that the couple had indeed drifted apart and will soon formally announce that they have decided to go their separate ways.
Us Weekly quotes a source that claims the couple has been separated for the last nine months, and Russell is rumored to be dating model Denise Vasi. But as Alicia Keys points out in “Unbreakable,” the couple is still about “making paper” and said they will continue to work together on future business projects.
Russell and Kimora Lee have two children, Ming, 6, and Aoki, 3.
"First on their minds are their children, but they need to be happy, too," the source explained to Us Weekly.
