*It’s been a busy week for supermodel Tyson Beckford, who recently found himself trading heated words with New York gossip maven Wendy Williams, and attempting to stop a knife-wielding robber from jacking his chain in Miami.
According to the Miami Herald, Beckford was at the hotspot Eight and Ocean on Miami Beach when he got into a confrontation with 34-year-old La Monte Woods of North Beach at around 8 p.m.
Woods, claiming Beckford said something “disrespectful” to his girlfriend, pulled a knife on the model. In an ensuing struggle, police say Woods punched Beckford, ripped off his chain and ran from the scene. He was caught a few blocks away and arrested on charges of armed robbery, battery and aggravated assault, police said.

Meanwhile, at last Wednesday’s grand opening of Megu Midtown restaurant in Trump World Tower, Beckford ran smack dab into a perennial thorn in his side, Wendy Williams.
The infamous radio host has always insisted that the 37-year-old model is gay, and brought up the subject again Wednesday to his face.
"I know how you roll, Tyson," Williams told him, according to the New York Post. But Beckford shot back with: "Why don't you go shave your beard?"
Also attending Megu Midtown’s grand opening were Rev. Al Sharpton, Mary J. Blige, Steve Harvey and Stephon Marbury.
