Naomi Campbell

     *Naomi Campbell is currently on the second day of three-day birthday party in Dubai to celebrate her 36 years. According to SF Gate’s Daily Dish, the $1.8 million shindig kicked off Sunday night with an “All White” theme, and follows tonight under a Hip Hop motif and Tuesday with a “Brazilian Samba” flavor. Campbell has rented out all 18 floors of the Burj Al Arab hotel for such guests as fellow models Linda Evangelista and Eva Herzigova, and British soccer sensation David Beckham. The 72-hour fete is hosted by Campbell’s boyfriend-du-jour, Badr Jafar.

       Broadcast legend Harold "Hal" Jackson, Group Chairman of Inner City Broadcasting and founder of Hal Jackson's Talented Teens International Scholarship Program, is looking for the world's most talented teen to win his annual contest which will be held during the week of July 22-30, 2006 in New York City.        *Comedian and impressionist James Stephens III will perform a four-night stand at the River Whiskey Comedy Club in Macon, Georgia (4570 Pio Nono Ave.) The comic, known for his dead-on impressions of Ray Charles, Sammy Davis Jr., Bill Cosby and Michael Jackson, is set to perform Thursday through Sunday at 8 p.m. Each family-friendly performance incorporates comedy, music and impressions.        *Eric V of the Miami-based radio duo Baka Boys won the first ever World Championships for the Hip-Hop Gaming League (HHGL), beating out such competition as B. Real, Method Man, Paul Wall, Just Blaze and Twista.  During the championship match, held May 13 at Hollywood's club Element, Eric V. faced Method Man in XBOX 360's "NBA 2K,” the official game of the league. As the grand prize winner, Eric V. won a customized HHGL chain and medallion with black and white diamonds, worth an estimated $15,000.

       *Alicia Keys, Magic Johnson and Denzel Washington were among the celebrities who donated items for an online charity auction organized by a group of Utah junior high school students to help their hearing-impaired janitor, Terry Birch, afford cochlear implants to aid his hearing. According to MTV.com, Birch and his wife, who is deaf, are already drowning in medical bills from her ongoing battle with breast cancer. Also on the block are tickets to the upcoming premiere of Jack Black's "Nacho Libre" and autographed items from Wayne Gretzky, Steve Young and members of the world champion Pittsburgh Steelers.
