CCM Magazine will be stopping in four cities where Dove Award-winning group Point of Grace will be hosting Girls of Grace Conferences for young girls. Weekend conferences scheduled to give teenage girls inspiration and heart to heart talks on today's issues will also see the first annual CCM's IT Girl talent contest.
The conference will hit Charlotte, N.C., Minneapolis, Minn., Knoxville, Tenn., and Oklahoma City, Okla., where CCM Magazine will name five girls from each of the four conferences, each of whom will perform live on stage. The winner will be selected by the votes of conference participants. Additionally, each CCM's IT Girl will be featured in CCM Magazine and receive prizes.
Only girls in 7th through 12th grade are eligible to enter the talent search and each registrant must submit a demo tape and statement of faith to be considered.
When considering finalists, judges from CCM Magazine and Girls of Grace will apply the New Testament Scripture from 1 Timothy 4:12 which states, "Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe."
Feature prizes include TiVo Series2 DVR with KidZone, a performance on the Girls of Grace stage, a backstage meeting with Point of Grace, a consultation by a Music Industry Representative On-site and more.
The Girls of Grace conference is now in its fifth season. Led by some of the most renowned female voices in the country, including the members of Point of Grace and Brio Magazine editor Susie Shellenberger, the conferences focus on relevant issues for girls such as sex and dating, eating disorders, self-image and self-esteem, family relationships, fashion and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
