*If you're a celeb breaking the law, most likely website TMZ.com will be first to report it. Such is the case once again.
The site is reporting that comedian/actor Katt Williams was arrested yesterday at LAX, otherwise known as Los Angeles International Airport. According to the site, the arrest occurred around 3 p.m. in Terminal 5.
Williams, who currently stars in his own HBO stand-up comedy special, was stopped at the security checkpoint. Security officers found a concealed weapon in his carry-on luggage. The LAPD was called and Williams, was arrested. One law enforcement source described it as a "cheap, Saturday night special."
The police determined the concealed weapon was stolen. Checking further, they also came upon three additional weapons in luggage that Williams had already checked in.
The comedian was booked on felony charges of carrying a concealed weapon and several other offenses. Williams reportedly is also wanted in connection with an outstanding warrant in Kalamazoo, Mich.
As you know Williams, has been tapped to host BET's Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta. The show tapes on Nov 12. Hopefully he'll still be available for the job.
