Black Leaders Launch Campaign against KFI Radio For Inciting Racial Division in Black Firefighter Case

Press Conference:

When: Monday, 10:00AM, December 4

Where: KFI Radio Studios, 3400 W. Olive Ave. Burbank, Calif. 91505

KFI shamefully incited public hysteria against black firefighter Tennie Pierce and has repeatedly targeted African-American leaders for ridicule and abuse.  Their shock jocks (John & Ken) demanded that the public send dog food to the city council to show their opposition to his discrimination settlement.

The Presidents of the Los Angeles Civil Rights Assn. and Youth Advocacy Coalition will turn the tables on KFI. They will publicly urge those appalled at the station's race baiting campaigns to send dog food to the station in protest. "The community must say no to KFI's racial bullying and scare tactics," says Eddie Jones, President, Los Angeles Civil Rights Assn.

"The dog food campaign is the community's way of telling KFI that we will no longer tolerate racial abuse under the guise of free speech and to grab ratings." says Lita Herron, President, Youth Advocacy Coalition
