*Jennifer Lopez is pushing for arbitration in the ongoing legal dispute with her first ex-husband Ojani Noa.
Lopez sued the former waiter Noa in April, after he announced plans to write a tell-all book featuring lurid details about their one-year marriage.
The two signed an agreement in 2005, ruling he could not disparage the actress-singer or make money from disclosing information about their marriage. Last month, Noa told a judge he regrets signing the agreement, stating: "I want to fight this thing to the end. My life has not been the same since this lawsuit was filed."
Now, J.Lo is hoping to settle the case out of court through arbitration, according to court documents filed recently in Los Angeles. A hearing is now set for Jan. 29 to consider Lopez's arbitration request.
Should the former couple reach a settlement during the arbitration period, it is legally binding.
